Gallagher's Steak House - Atlantic City Ratings and Reviews
We actually went there because my kids like their chicken fingers (they had been before). I had to sample their chicken fingers and they were really good as far as chicken fingers go. My lady and I both ordered the Dry aged NY strip and while it was pretty good I’ve definitely had better. It was a good size and cooked to our liking. I eat my steaks rare so I was expecting it to melt in my mouth but I found it a bit tough especially considering the price. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Our particular waiter was very engaging and polite. The ambiance is very nice. It was quiet but we were also there midweek and we were dining late. I have nothing bad to say at all about Gallagher’s. It is a bit pricey but overall it was a very nice dinner.
Service and ambience were great. My NY Strip was not good. It didn't have a char on the outside and my potato was hard. My husband had a Porterhouse and it was much better. Charred and cooked properly. I was very disappointed. I also ordered brown butter cake and I found it to be very dry. There was whipped cream on top that was bland. It could have used a scoop of ice cream. That being said our server was friendly and efficient. The experience would have been better if my steak wasn't so poor.
The food was outstanding as well as the service. Portions were on the large size but so tender. This is what you pay for. Noise level was a little high as there was a party going on probably 50 people. I’m sure it’s not like this all the time. Definitely would go back again. Can be a very romantic spot to pop the question. Lol.
We really enjoyed our dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection. I had the prime rib which was outstanding and the taste and flavor were on point. My husband had the Pork and I thought because he ordered it well done (I would never order it that done) it was cooked perfect and not dry at all. We had our 4 year old child with us and they were very accommodating to him being there with us and made him a simple pasta and sauce which was also amazing.
Went on a Sunday night (5:00 pm reservation) for a special 75th birthday celebration. We knew that the night would be costly, but we wanted to try everything. We started with a bottle of champagne to celebrate the birthday girl. Our server (Chris) was fantastic. I read great reviews about him and told him; he was flattered. We did not ask for him, but he is very attentive and became part of our celebration. We had the Cheese plate (enough food for at least 4 people). There were four different cheeses, fruits, nuts, crackers and 3 delicious spreads (cherry - amazing with the blue cheese, honey truffle - sweet and delightful, and apricot- great with the fruit and crackers). We also tried the crab cake appetizer- 2 small crab cakes that 3 of us shared - they were just lump crabmeat with no fillers; perfectly cooked. Two of us had the Caesar salad - one salad would have been enough for 3 of us, we didn't realize there would be so much, but it was fantastic; homemade dressing with anchovies on top (you can have them keep the anchovies from the top.) Of the four of us at our table, we had lamb chops (med. rare), filet mignon (med.) and the bone in Sirloin(med. & well.) Each was cooked perfectly and nothing was over-seasoned. Deliciously aged beef - we took the 2 sirloin bones home for the puppies.
Gallaghers brought a piece of their Frangelico Chocolate cake with a candle for grandma! How thoughtful; I had mentioned that we were celebrating her birthday when I made my reservation. Everyone we saw, from the hostess to all of the servers and wait staff all wished her a happy birthday throughout the evening. We also had the sticky pudding and the cheesecake. All of the desserts were decadent and amazingly delicious!
Needless to say, we would recommend Gallaghers for any special occasion; their attention to the customer is priceless!
well i was seated 1/2 hr late with plenty of tables...i requested a booth but was never asked "would u like a table with no wait?"...i got seated 9:15...ordered queen cut prime rib and was told 10 min later they are sold out from all prime rib cuts and veal chops...i said its Saturday night and the restaurant is only 1/2 filled...the waiter said i know im sorry...then we were given stale rolls, a ceasar salad that had more croutons than salad...steak i ordered medium was well done and mashed potatoes were like glue and tasteless...i told the female mgr who said would u like something else instead...i said i waited so long to get this so no its too late...at the end of the meal the waiter said here is a complementary piece of cheesecake - it was now 11:00 pm before we got out of there - I SAID REALLY THATS IT - they charges me for everything but mashed potatoes!! NEVER AGAIN!! Vic & Anthony's THE BEST! they should be shut down for such inferior quality food!
If you are a carnivore this is the place for you. The aged sirloin steak & prime rib were delicious & perfectly cooked. The French onion soup was good, but could have used more flavor in the broth & some caramelized onions would have given it a special touch. Veggies were also well prepared & tasty. Our waitress was very pleasant & knowlegleable regarding the menu. Overall a Very enjoyable experience.
