Gallagher's Steak House - Atlantic City Ratings and Reviews
We were celebrating my 65th. Birthday, and I choose Gallagher’s for dinner. Our reservation was for 6:30, and we were immediately seated. Our waiter Chris, introduced himself and made himself readily available to our every question and concern. The chic decor of celebrity photos adorning the walls surrounding us had our memories and conversations going of the past greats and their times. The food was prepared to perfection and was beyond delicious! So filling that when we sadly turned down desert telling our waiter Chris it was my Birthday, he ended up bringing over a slice of chocolate cake with candle compliments of the restaurant! That was a very nice gesture! The staff graciously doggy bagged our leftovers and the cake, which we enjoyed the following day! I highly recommend Gallagher’s for that special occasion or evening when fine food and atmosphere are tops on your agenda! Warm regards & Thanks!
I was at Gallagher's Steakhouse in Atlantic City on Saturday, December 30th and asked to be seated in the bar area at a single table and Gallagher's honored my request. The food was absolutely terrific. I had the filet mignon special and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was wonderful. Nice, quiet, relaxing. I am definitely dining there again at Gallagher's Steakhouse, Atlantic City with 2 other friends and we are going to celebrate a birthday. Can't wait. Requested again in the bar area for 3 people. My server on December 30th was excellent. I don't remember his name but was very attentive and polite and sociable. Great place to have dinner, cocktails at the bar, or lunch.
Had to wait about 40 minutes for appetizers which when we inquired as too how long they offered to buy which was very nice of them as we were starving. Since it was a holiday week I think they were short staffed but food was very good and server did his best and we will go back again on our next visit to Resorts
Christmas! A few families celebrating and couples sharing an intimate meal. We sat in the bar area to watch the game. Very comfortable and Michael did double duty as barman and server. Fresh salads huge crabcakes and not too sweet cake and berries for dessert
This New York class restaurant is the finest in Atlantic City. Maybe 2 or 3 other restaurants in the AC area ome a little close to it, but Gallagher's has been THE outstanding place consistently for more than a dozen years. The food is, of course, excellent; and the service really sets it far, far above anyplace else in south Jersey, and rivals the best that the north has to offer. It's pricey, but you really do get what you pay for.
We actually went there because my kids like their chicken fingers (they had been before). I had to sample their chicken fingers and they were really good as far as chicken fingers go. My lady and I both ordered the Dry aged NY strip and while it was pretty good I’ve definitely had better. It was a good size and cooked to our liking. I eat my steaks rare so I was expecting it to melt in my mouth but I found it a bit tough especially considering the price. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Our particular waiter was very engaging and polite. The ambiance is very nice. It was quiet but we were also there midweek and we were dining late. I have nothing bad to say at all about Gallagher’s. It is a bit pricey but overall it was a very nice dinner.
Service and ambience were great. My NY Strip was not good. It didn't have a char on the outside and my potato was hard. My husband had a Porterhouse and it was much better. Charred and cooked properly. I was very disappointed. I also ordered brown butter cake and I found it to be very dry. There was whipped cream on top that was bland. It could have used a scoop of ice cream. That being said our server was friendly and efficient. The experience would have been better if my steak wasn't so poor.
The food was outstanding as well as the service. Portions were on the large size but so tender. This is what you pay for. Noise level was a little high as there was a party going on probably 50 people. I’m sure it’s not like this all the time. Definitely would go back again. Can be a very romantic spot to pop the question. Lol.
