We had reservations via open table and still had to wait at least 20 mi. They had a table in the back where it was more quiet that we saw was open but were not allowed to sit there as it was reserved for someone else. So noisy! Went on a Sat night at 6 pm and took friends that had never been there. With all the noise I doubt they will return. Food was very good but just so noisy we could hardly hear the waitress.

Food is consistently excellent. Service and staff are extremely attentive. Can't sa enough good things bout Gale's.

Went for husband’s birthday which I noted on the Open Table reservation. Birthday wasn’t acknowledged and we were too full for dessert anyways.
Husband’s clams and linguini was delicious. I ordered chicken Milanese. It was pounded very thin and was extremely dry. I’ve had this in Milan and was it was moist and tender...so disappointed! Side pasta was just mac in a bland tomato sauce. Sautéed spinach was very good. Second time at Gale’s so maybe they’re just hit or miss.

The staff was attentive, food was delicious and the atmosphere was bright unlike many dark Italian restaurants. Really enjoyed our meal and dessert was a must! The coconut cake was so good I was full and ordered a piece to go!!! It was a delightful breakfast of champions the next morning!

My family has been dining at Gale's for years. It's one of our go to places for special occasions or "just because" we need a night out. This particular dinner was no exception. Our daughter and her fiance were visiting from out of town. We were seated immediately upon arrival; waiter was attentive, but not overbearing. The food was excellent. Our group ordered the salmon special with their original side salad and pizzas, all were delicious! Their tradition is to end each meal with a plate of biscotti (yummy)! Gale's is definitely a neighborhood gem and one that we'll continue to frequent for years to come.

Great neighborhood bistro. We really loved it. My husband had the branzino seafood dish and I had the clams & linguini. We shared a creative seafood appetizer (crab, avocado and grilled beets) and had an inexpensive but fantastic bottle Italian Pinot Grigio. A very nice evening.

The food was wonderful. I used to work in the area 10 years ago and frequented Gale’s. We were visiting in Pasadena and Gales was my choice. The food was great as always, and then there is the biscotti!

I have always loved eating at Gales! However, this time we were very disappointed in the drinks from the bar. They tasted watered down (martini & lemon drop) The meal was good and we liked that our server said 'no problem' when we wanted to split meals and appetizers. The coconut cake was so light and flavorful!! We also ordered 2 cappuccinos - nice big cups, but only filled 1/3. On top of that the coffee was luke warm. Everything was lovely except anything that came from the bar.

We enjoyed all aspects of our meal at Gale's. The service was attentive and well-informed. The food was delicious. The wine paired well. The swordfish was very fresh, very moist, deliciously seasoned, and a generous portion.

We always enjoy Gale's. We've dined there numerous times. The food is excellent quality, excellent value. Everything is very fresh. I'm not an expert at Italian cuisine, but the dishes all seem very authentic. My husband and I typically split an entree, this time it was the lasagna Bolognese. It was more than enough for the two of us, we probably brought half home for leftovers. We also shared a small Cesar salad and minestrone. They charge a $10 corkage fee if you bring your own wine, which is very reasonable. We also always admire the wine glasses, with the pewter stems, they are very pretty. Bread is complimentary and is always fresh. The only issue with Gale's is that it's a bit noisy, but we don't mind it much. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Gale's is one of my favorite. The menu has something for everyone. The pasta is delicious and this restaurant offers many preparation choices. The fish is always fresh. We dined with relatives who followed a vegan diet and others who were vegetarians. Everyone had delicious meals. The service is outstanding. The staff is friendly and really want everyone to enjoy their meals. There is a full bar!. I have never had a disappointing meal at Gale's.

It was too bright for dinner but I guess they had to accommodate for all the elderly who have taken over.

We were there for my birthday. We got there and was seated right away. Our waitress was nice and friendly. I’ve been there twice before and the food was amazing. For some reason this time around, the food was not as good as before. My mom and husband finished their food first and my brother and I were still working on our food, then this waitstaff came by and asked if it was ok to clear off my mom and husbands plate which was ok since they were done. After that he came by to my brother and I asking if we needed boxes. We felt as if they were rushing us out. We weren’t even offered to look at the dessert menu. But our waitress did come by and drop off a piece of cake for my birthday.

We have dined at Gales many times over the past ten years. The food and service is consistently good. We ate at 7:30 in a Friday night and, unfortunately, the wait with a reservation was about 30 minutes.
Our main complaint is their tables for 2 people are just too small for beverages and food. However, it is a gem!

The melt in your mouth pork shank on top of risotto (to a non fan of risotto) was delicious. Fresh bread this time, which is nice. Great servers.

This is the second time I've eaten at Gale's. I live 50 miles away and whenever I'm in the area I want to eat at Gale's. Wonderful Italian food and a lively, fun place.
