Shelley etait notre serveur. Il etait merveilleux et tres attentif.
The staff was very engaging and our server volunteered options we did not consider (e.g. mix and match combinations of dishes). Very impressed.
It was an amazing experience, the food was unreal, the service great and having the band come through with everyone twirling serviettes was absolutely fantastic!! Thank you very much for an experience not like any other.
The food was good, but the service was not. I would not go back because of this. When you are prepared to spend a good bit of money on lunch, exceptional service should accompany the food. Sadly, it did not.
We had a lovely meal at Galatoire's. We had a cooking class earlier in the day, so we were not interested ina heavy meal. We ordered an appetizer and a salad each. All of it was wonderful. Special thanks to our server, Ace, who was personable, attentive and thoughtful.
Galatoire's maintains a light, airy, open atmosphere which can get a bit loud, especially if there are large parties trying to have a good time. What really counts here, though, is the outstanding food and service. The bistro romaine salad was light and tasty, as was the turtle soup, which was almost as good as that at Commander's Palace, where you get more of it and that classy addition of sherry at your table. Equally flavorful is the oysters Rockefeller, which doesn't have the history of Antoine's version but is still excellent and, despite their remarkably same looks, is a bit different regarding ingredients. The bouillabaisse was exception, laden with plump pieces of seafood. The sauteed drum in a simple butter sauce was perfectly textured and seasoned. The pecan pie was remarkably light and the sweet potato cheesecake was one of the best cheesecakes we've ever had. Our attentive waiter Brian make helpful food and wine suggestions. It was pretty much an impeccable evening. Thanks, Galatoire's!
Bury me here. I absolutely love this place.
Excellent food and impeccable service!
Excellent food, ambience, service and courtesy! Will definitely return and recommend to others.
The food wasn’t bad nor was it great for the price. The food seemed as dated as the ambiance and decor, however the service was great.
The staff was superb! It was a wonderful evening for a birthday dinner. Each of our meals were extremely flavourful. The servers were extremely attentive. I can't wait to dine again.
Food was great.
Excellent service with helpful waitress. great food and wine at fair price. recommended highly!
Friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere. Super old school. Thank you for a great experience.
The food was nothing short of amazing and the service was impeccable. I truly enjoyed my dining experience and hope to return over and over again. ☺️☺️☺️
Always a good choice, the food and the service were consistent. The atmosphere was relaxing, while the service was professional for an upper end restaurant. It was the first time my children were with me at this restaurant and they enjoyed every moment.
The dinner and service were superb, as expected from a historical world-class restaurant. The pecan pie has no equal.
We had a very enjoyable meal for my daughter's birthday. Our server was spectacular and steered us to delicious meal choices. We will definitely visit Galatoire's the next time we are in NOLA!
Loved everything- it’s our favorite restaurant! We’ve been many times & will be back for birthday celebration before long!
Everything was excellent!
Our waitress Amber was outstanding!
It’s amazing place to go while in New Orleans. Excellent Service and great food. The sweet potato cheesecake is the best dessert. I always go when I’m in New Orleans.
Loved it! So cute and amazing food
Every single dish was perfect. The waitstaff was outstanding. We couldn’t stop thinking about the duck crepes with the cherry and port reduction. It was one of the best things we have ever had anywhere. Galatoire’s delivers every single time!
As always Galatorie’s provided the quality food and fine ambiance that we ALWAYS enjoy. It was “date night” for us and what a lovely way to begin a perfect evening......dinner at Galatorie’s!
This is a New Orleans classic with a dress code. The ambiance was totally New Orleanian. The wait staff were friendly and helpful with the menu. They had an interesting cocktail list and nice wine selections. My partner and I had fish (red for him and salmon for me); both were outstanding. The dessert menu has the classics. We went with the black bottom pecan pie, which was more than enough for two and best we ever had. This is now a mandatory meal on any future visits to the Big Easy.
Very excellent dinner. Food was outstanding and very attentive service.
Food is blah. Shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were tiny. Gumbo was mediocre. After the first 2 courses we stopped ordering because didn’t want to waste any more money in this place— got frozen yogurt instead. It’s an old and stale tourist trap.
The food was amazing however the service is short of what you find at Brennan’s
Waiter did not look at myself or my mom the entire meal and only spoke to my dad. Dismissive and seemed exasperated to be serving us. Ended the meal by looking at my dad and saying “thank you for paying” - making the assumption that neither my mom or I could and it was my father’s obligation to pay for our meal. Yeah right. I live in New Orleans and love the food at galatoires but will unfortunately not go back to a place that condescends me and makes sexist assumptions. No thank you for your service.
Galatoires is everything you would expect from a business in business for over a hundred years. The French creole cuisine is very flavorful, excellent service and ambience. We were in a small room upstairs and there were a couple of big parties seated so the noise level was a bit loud.
We were late for our reservation but called ahead to inform the restaurant. They noted it but deleted our reservation. We were still seated and enjoyed our meal.
AMAZING! This was my absolute favorite experience in New Orleans! Might drive back from Houston just to dine here again!
Came in town for the weekend from TX. It was my birthday and the very first time I experienced Galatoire’s; went with two of my lifelong girlfriends, and everything was amazing. Steve was our waiter and did an incredible job! I miss living in NOLA...⚜️
Galatoire's is one of my favorite restaurants. The quality of the food and service can stand up to any of New Orleans finest restaurants. Although they are famous for the raucously festive ambiance of the first floor, the noise level there is more than I want when dining. I prefer to be seated on the second floor which is lovely and quieter. During Coolinary Month, you can't beat a 3 course meal for only $20.
Definitely lived up to expectations! A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Wonderful food and excellent service!
Very fun place, traditional menu, a bit formulaic in the execution.
Food was wonderful - highly recommend this NOLA favorite! Our server was great in suggesting what to order - can't wait to go back!
I have been eating at Galatoire's since I was a child and it has never failed to impress me as the best place in the world for a meal. The ambiance, the service, the food are all impeccable and seamless.
Oysters Rockefeller, a wonder steak, a delicious dessert, and on and on all terrific.
The service was top shelf. Our server Shannon was professional, knowledgeable and engaging. She made our experience memorable. The food was delicious and well paced. We will definitely recommend to others and return during our next trip.
