My husband and I have been frequenting this restaurant quite often lately. It is fantastic. The crabmeat au gratin is amazing. It's really the reason we keep going back here.
When I first made reservations I thought Galatoire's was the restaurant we had eaten before. When I got there I went to change the reservation to 8 people and then realized we were at a different restaurant. Main restaurant was full so we could not change. That was a disappointment, then when we went for dinner, the noise level was so loud that you could not carry on a conversation at the table. Food was good, but because of other circumstances, I would not dine there again. I wish I had been notified that this was not the main Galatoires when I made the reservation, I would have made it for some where else. Also, they speak of having a dress code, I'm not sure what the code is, people were certainly not dressed what I know as business casual. We were the best dressed there. All in all, it was a disappointing evening.
The best birthday dinner. To be a so quiet and elegant and then to have food of that great quality is truly amazing! May have been the best bone-in filet I have ever had.
Service was exceptional.
It was disappointing. While the ribeye wss tender and flavorful, the Duchess potatoes were salty and the Strawberry Shortcake was ordinary. Adam was our waiter and he rarely came to the table. I think he decided we weren't worth his time when we asked about sharing some dishes. I cannot recommend this restaurant. I live here and think there are so many restaurants that are superior to this one in New Orleans.

Food extremely lackluster for the price. Most delicious item we had was the crab cake but it had bits of shell in it. We also really enjoyed a red blend that we tried. Steaks were overdone and in an almost caramel-tasting sauce that was too sweet for my taste; the sides arrived lukewarm. Ambiance could have been nice if a table full of tourists in tank tops and reeking of Bourbon Street hadn’t been seated next to us in our business casual/evening dress attire. Our service was good- not rushed but attentive. Our experience wasn’t horrible but for almost $300 we most likely will not return.
We had a very lovely dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday.
Everything was fantastic! Ordered the 30oz Tomahawk and was not disappointed. Perfect for three.
All around spectacular experience Excellent food, never felt rushed at all and the sommelier was very knowledgable and helped us pick the perfect wine for our meal
Galatores is legend in the New Orleans dining scene. It was a wise move to create a second, less pretentious restaurant with the same high quality food and service.
Design wise it has elements of another 33, club 33 at Disneyland.
I asked the host for the house cocktail. He gave a great description of how the sazarec came to be. Very easy going down and enjoyed it so I had a second.
What's impressive about 33 is the honesty of the staff. In my crab cake the server Adam said its actually Maryland crab washed in Louisiana spices.
Then the steak. Adam recommended the steak special which was one of the most tender and fulfilling steaks I had. The staff listens; asked for a small serving of onion rings since I was dining alone. The meal went nicely with the cab I paired it with.
The original Galatores is a classic. But you can get the same fine food and service at 33.

Thought I had reservation at Galatoire’s but was at the 33 bar and steak. Mai’tred was awesome and allowed us to dine at Galatoire’s. Thanks for a wonderful evening.
Short staffed that night and dinner took an extremely long time to come out. Staff was courteous and manager compensated for the long delay. Will return soon
Our experience was awesome! The service was impeccable. The food fresh and delicious. Shout out to Desmond for his meticulous attention to us. The restaurant was closing but we were never rushed. Will definitely return on my next visit to NOLA
Difficult to get the waiter to come by, not all that crowded. Restaurant week menu was very disappointing, duck was VERY overcooked. Chocolate creme brulee was burned and tasted like a pudding cup.
Won't go back, tons more good food options in this fantastic town.
I had a filet and it was the best steak I have had since moving from the Midwest to FL. Emend my sides of sautéed spinach and duchess potatoes were wonderful
Charming atmosphere. Kitchen seemed somewhat disorganized for lunch service, which they only do one day a week. Service was leisurely, with our server repeatedly explaining kitchen delays on their Restaurant Week menu. Desserts took half an hour after mains were cleared. Food was terrific ambiance is great.
Amazing!Our waitress was Ace, she was superb! Very knowledgeable and gave great reviews of the menu. First time here , will DEFINITELY Be back!

Beautiful evening for my son's birthday dinner. This was my second visit to Galatoire's 33 and both experiences were fantastic. Definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting New Orleans to have dinner here.

Amazing crab cakes and steak was perfect!
We both ordered the 28 day aged strip sirloin. At first we though we just had a small part that was difficult to cut but later realized that both of our steaks had gristle to such a degree it was too much work to eat. We complained to the waiter and he said he would give us another entree (Drum) that we could share. At this point our appetite had declined significantly. After dinner when the bill came we had a paltry $10 discount .

Consistently good a real go to when looking for a place to take people in the quarter.
Service was good, but the food was not good. It seemed unfinished and pricing did not make sense. Fish was more expensive than filet. Also their steaks were not good had to send back for unusual test (very bitter). Fish was served without sauce and was very dry.
Food was very good. Shared the tomahawk bone-in steak and was delicious. Only disappointment was the server must have missed that I designated via OpenTable that it was my wife's birthday and no "freebie" came, or any type of acknowledgement. While having a drink at the bar afterwards, we witnessed someone else receiving a dessert with a candle and the wait staff singing happy birthday. Shame on me for not double checking with the staff on the side. Still great food and we had a nice evening.
The steak was excellently cooked and seasoned. Our service was great - compliments to Michael - and I'd highly recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a classy meal on Bourbon!
Service and ambiance was top notch. I loved the watermelon burrata salad and my husband love his lamb. Crab meat au gratin was delicious too! Great anniversary dinner with complimentary champagne!
Two out of three main courses were sent back. Manager did not charge for food and offered free desert and additional drinks. Great service but food experience very poor.
Excellent service, tasty, well-executed food, fast kitchen. Caesar salad was excellent as were the entrees. The only miss was the blueberry cobbler, which was presented poorly and just not very good.
The service was excellent. Food was not what I expected from a Galatoire’s restaurant. The grilled oysters we cold and salad was room temperature. My wife’s steak was order medium and it came out rare. We explained that she liked it slightly pink and sent it back. When it came back it was still rare. She ordered coffee at the end of the meal and it smelled and tasted burnt.

Galatoire's was a welcome relief of dining experiences in NOLA. Staff were attentive, food was prepared and presented acceptably. It was an enjoyable dining establishment. Value-wise it is on par with what is to be expected in this group of restaurants.
We came for COOLinary and to celebrate our anniversary. Good selection for the price-fix menu. While tasty overall, each course was just a bit off. The shrimp toasts had the skins on, the Brussels sprouts were very salty, the potato cake was over cooked, and the peach cobbler was overly sweet. The steaks, their main staple, were in point.
First time to Galatoire's 33 Bar & Steakhouse - Food, Service, & atmosphere almost identical to Galatoire's - I will definitely go back when in New Orleans - it was a real treat
Love tha ambiance and the great food.
Everything was too salty. The food runner /water guy agreed that people complain about the saltiness of the food. Our server was pleasant and accommodating. Don’t order the lobster gratin totally not worth the $18.00. All cheese and no lobster. Horrible! Would not suggest this to friends and family.
