The food was really good and I loved that the chef brought it out to us. He was so friendly and made the experience even better. Can't wait to go back.

We've always enjoyed a great brunch at Gaia.....this was our first experience with dining in the evening. The flank steak was perfection and the short ribs just perfect for a smaller portion. Since it was a beautiful night we sat outside and took in the sights of people strolling around the neighborhood. Good service and we enjoyed being able to have a conversation without shouting at each other. All in all , a wonderful experience. We will be sure to come back........and bring friends and family with us!!!

Cute restaurant, friendly staff, great food. A bit expensive ($100+ for two people and one glass of wine each).

Cozy...almost too cozy. A few small dining rooms so the tables are right on top of each other. Very light dinner crowd so felt like everyone could overhear our conversation.

Gaia is located in a converted house that is modest but comfortably homey. There are no corporate-inspired decorations, but the staff is thoroughly professional. Our food was excellent and the Vietnamese starter was unique. It was our first visit there and it was a lovely experience.

This is in a charming old house. The food was very good and the service was excellent. A small, but good wine list has reasonable prices.

Breakfast and brunch is lays great here...however, this was my second time there for dinner. Both times happened to be on cold snowy nights!
We practically had the small dining room to ourselves...which meant Chef Richie came out to talk to us and explain the food. It was a fret experience. Four of us....four different entrees. Chicken and dumplings was great comfort food...a twist on the short ribs was great.....lasagna was yummy and steak was good as well.
Will be back next time it snows. It is just a cozy place to be on a snowy night.
We will go back to sitting outside come summer!

The wine was awesome. The pork chop and spare ribs were amazing. It was quiet. The only trouble was there was no dessert. Also, no steak was available. They should go to the market every day, really.

What Gaia lacks in ambiance, comfort and décor it makes up for in the inventive, eclectic menu and thoughtfully, well prepared food. We were in the back area of the house and it was very cramped and noisy from the kitchen and espresso machine. The wine list was also lacking...they could use a few more choices. I had the pork belly appetizer as my entrée and it was scrumptious and plentiful. Done to perfection. One friend had the lamb chops that came with gnocchi in a light, heavenly sauce. Two others each ordered the crab cake appetizer which was enough to serve 3-4. The accompanying horseradish sauce was quite overpowering and uninteresting. All in all - great food, bad atmosphere! Cudos to the chef, but get a decorator.

My daughter and I always go to this place when I visit her in Denver. We love it! This visit did not disappoint. Service was personable and knowledgeable. The chef came out to greet us and make sure we loved our food. We did! My daughter had the tuna and I had the wild mushroom housemade pasta. We shared. Both were excellent! They had a great value on a South African red wine--$23 and it was fantastic! As good as anything I have tasted at twice the price. I love the homey feel of this place--it is actually in an old home.

I was visiting some friends when travelling in Denver and we went here based off of good reviews - they were right! The food was outstanding, we had a nice bottle of wine, and got the chance to talk to the chef for a few minutes before we left. Would recommend!

The chief made our expereince unbelievable. He not only made wonderful dishes, but he came out to our table to discuss with us what he had created. The duck was my favorite! We have been told about a new menu item that involves pasta and pumpkin that I cannot wait to try!

It's a converted house on Pearl Street, I had the chicken breast and my wife had the lamb and both rivaled any of the known hot spots as well as the prices are very reasonable. Wine list is short but well chosen which I prefer anyway. As a former sever from a white table cloth standard, this is a meal that I will have again. This is a restaurant that is worth going to, do your self a favor and enjoy what Gaia has to offer.

This little gem in the S. Pearl corridor never disappoints. We lucked out on a busy Friday evening and snagged a reservation with a table outside. The service in this place is consistently great We shared a delicious spinach salad and I had the trout and my love enjoyed the stuffed poblano. Both were perfectly prepared and memorable entrees. There is something about the atmosphere at this unassuming spot that keeps bringing us back. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

We tried this restaurant for the first time during last week's rainstorm and was pleasantly surprised. The place is small and the service attentive. Lovely salmon. Only nitpick is the wine list is small.

Gaia is the Greek goddess, which personifies the Earth itself. This restaurant personifies it's name. Organic and gluten free items are available on their varied menu. My two friends had the crab cakes with red pepper coulis that they claimed were spectacular. I had the ancho and walnut crusted warm goat cheese salad with apples tossed in balsamic honey vinaigrette & herb croutons that was fresh, satisfying, and beautifully presented. They offer fresh-baked bread as soon as you are seated which was airy with a crunchy crust. This is "small portion cuisine", so don't expect the food to be falling off the plate, but you won't have that "stuffed" feeling when you leave, either - or a doggie bag! Excellent wine list. Good romantic setting.

From farm-to-table to low key environment, Gaia was a nice Friday night "getaway" from the traffic and fast pace of city life. The dinner menu offered nice variety with some unique things we hadn't tried before. Service was friendly. We like the intimate setting. A good find. We'd definitely like to try the breakfasts & lunches.

Sometimes you hesitate to share a special restaurant once you find it, especially when it is small and quaint. Trip Advisor highlights this as a great brunch and lunch restaurant, but it has been preparing terrific French-inspired dinners as well. Despite not being numerous, the menu gives an amazingly diverse array of choices. Also, prices and service are great.
The spinach salad with figs, almonds, etc. plus added seared duck breast ($17) was very delightful and satisfying. Other family members raved over the chicken penne pasta with roasted tomatoes, mushrooms and parmesan ($15) and seared sirloin, mashed potatoes and candy carrots ($19). Next time I want to try the lamb chop or stuffed poblano (OK, not all French-inspired). :-)

I love the feel of this place. It takes me back to my college days. But the food is a little overpriced and over salted. I came for dinner and I think the place us much better at breakfast and lunch. I will be back to try again but not for dinner.

Don't let the unassuming decor mislead you. The food is outstanding. Prepared with expertise, but not over fussy. Wine list is small but well chosen and very reasonable. A really nice experience. There was a large group that was a bit noisy, but easily forgiven, since the place is small.

Very quiet on a weeknight, as such I think they keep their staff level low. Wasn't too much of an issue, but glasses did stay empty longer than necessary. Food is amazing though and prices reasonable.

This place has a country cottage feel to it, even though it's in the middle of the city. You almost feel like you are in Europe at a bed and breakfast.
But, the best part of this place was the food. It was a gourmet meal from start to finish.
We started with the cheese plate-- a must have! We shared the strawberry spinach salad, which was nothing short of artistic both in presentation and taste. For dinner, I had the shrimp wrapped in bacon with polenta cakes-- absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the salmon and it was amazing. At a place like this, you just can't skip dessert. We had the strawberry and almond bread pudding with creme anglais. It was the best dessert Iv'e ever had!

One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants for lunch, has instantly become a favorite for dinner. There were several decisions for dinner but we decided on the pork loin and bacon wrapped shrimp. Delicious! And though we saw plates of our other choices go out to other tables, we were more than happy with our meals - we kept stealing food from each other's plate. We'll be going back to try more from their menu. The service, as always, is attentive and friendly, but never intrusive. The price point is right for our meal, with an app, two entres and two glass of wine each - $100 including tip.
Highly, highly recommend. Their lunch is equally rewarding!

We had an excellent experience! The cheese & jalapeño jam app was very good. The bacon-wrapped shrimp on polenta was worthy of every bite. The greatest part of the night was the service. Our server was as good as it gets ... couldn't be nicer and more prompt. She was wonderful. We highly recommend Gaia Bistro and can't wait to experience the patio in the summer.

My daughter and I went for what we expected to be a nice supper because she had had an outstanding brunch here with friends. It was fantastic! We felt like honored guests in someone's lovely home. Atmosphere is homey and comfortable on old south Pearl pumpkin soup was amazing. Stuffed salmon unusual and so tasty. Turkey pot pie was fantastic on a chilly winter evening. Wine list was not extensive, but good and extremely reasonable. Our server Kevin was a delight we just loved this place and will be back.
