Welcome to the Gaffel Haus Berlin, probably the most beautiful Cologne brewery restaurant east of Cologne. You will find us in the middle of Berlin-Mitte between the TV Tower & the Reichstag and only 47.11 meters from Friedrichstraße. On foot you can reach the Friedrichstadtpalast, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, the Museum Island or the Gendarmenmarkt in only about 10 minutes. The S & U train station Friedrichstraße is only 3 minutes away. You can expect the best traditional German cuisine with a Rhenish touch. From A like apple strudel to Z like pike-perch fillet, everything is prepared fresh daily with selected ingredients from renowned suppliers from the Rhineland and quality-conscious local producers by our kitchen team with a lot of love for you. This is also appreciated by our returning guests from A like the Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany to Z like the kitwart of the 1st FC Cologne.

Nach langer Zeit mal wieder hier gewesen. Service, Getränke und die Speisen waren wieder top, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 👍😋

Sehr gutes. Brauhaus, mit super aufmerksamen Service. Essen wie man es erwartet und ein Kölsch passt immer. Sehr zu empfehlen. Ein Stück Heimat in Berlin

Wir brachten ausländische Freunde zu einem authentischen Abendessen und hatten dafür vorab einen Tisch reserviert. Die Bedienung kam schnell und nahm unsere Getränkewahl auf, da unsere Freunde etwas unschlüssig waren, empfahl er zum Einstieg einen Kranz Kölsch der auch schnell gebracht wurde. Zur Vorspeise teilten wir uns einen Flammkuchen, und danach wählte jeder seine Hauptspeise. Von der Himmel und Ärd, bis zum Zander und Zigeunerschnitzel. Alle waren mit ihrem Essen zufrieden. Unser Kellner war höflich und hilfsbereit und checkte mehrmals das alles in Ordnung war ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend und unsere Freunde bekamen einen sehr positiven Eindruck von gutem Deutschen Essen. Wir kommen wieder!

Maybe the wet weather affected our experience compared to other reviewers. We were looking forward to a German pub night having visited Munich beer halls a few years ago. We’d reserved a table and were quickly shown to our table. Drinks were brought quickly although my husband was unimpressed by the size of his large beer. It was rather small. We chose traditional fayre with a currywurst and beef stew and dumplings. It just wasn’t great best thing about it was my red cabbage which was lovely. The table next to us left most of their food too. Shame because the reviews had seemed positive but not a great night for us

First of all, thank you for your review. You are comparing the size of the beer between a Bavarian beer house and a Cologne beer house. However, this cannot be compared as Bavarian beer houses traditionally serve 1.0 liter mugs and in Cologne beer houses it is traditional to serve the beer in 0.2 glasses. Bavaria is not the whole of Germany ;-). We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your meal with us, but perhaps you just chose the wrong dishes for your taste. Nevertheless, we wish you a good time in Berlin!
