Please join us for our awarded "Best Bloody Mary Bar" by Westword 4 years running. Also a great Italian style brunch with 6 different flavors of Bottomless Mimosas.
We held a birthday get together for two of our friends, and had a great experience as always. This was our second year in a row choosing to celebrate our birthday here. Excellent food, great service, and the best combination of casual + nice atmosphere. Will be back soon.
We have been to Gaetano’s a few times now, we sat at a table where the bar was taking care of us, and amber was our bartender/server. She was amazing. Fast with drinks and overall knowledgeable about food. We both work in restaurants and for how busy they were she made sure we were well taken care of and was overall a fun bartender to have.
Food is amazing here! I highly recommend the shrimp scampi, it is unlike any other dish I have ever had. Overall, awesome experience every time we come.
The food was beyond good. Amazing. My waitress, Natalie, was gracious and kind. She did an outstanding job.
Love Gaetanos! Excellent brunch and the best Bloody Marys in town!!! Great service and love the atmosphere
What a find, sorry it took us so long! Reasonable prices for both food & drink, excellent food, beverage choices& service.
Mushroom ravioli in a broth, not a heavy sauce with a round loaf of rustic bread to soak up the broth, heavenly. Generous portion of lasagna and perfectly cooked salmon. Nick our server was entertaining & on top of his “game”, always a pleasure to interact with staff that enjoy what they do.
Free parking across the street in their lot and a quiet neighborhood to take a walk around after dinner.
Living near this restaurant, I've always been curious to go. This weekend I made reservations for my boyfriend and I to celebrate his birthday. Walking in we were met by a waiter instead of the host , he promptly got her and as frazzled as she seemed, she sat us . We then waited for 20 minutes with water only until the same waiter who met us originally asked "have you been helped yet?"
I was trying to be as patient as I could although a bad opinion on the restaurant was already growing .
However, Nick, was an amazing waiter ! He was very full of knowledge when it came to wine and their dishes . Nick apologized immensely for our wait time, put a rush on our food, and ensured our night was great! I will definitely go back based on our experience with Nick. Price was good for amazing food ! The live music was my favorite ! We were there on a Friday night . Originally, I wouldn't have returned if Nick hadn't taken care of us that night. It was our first time there and Nick's service is definitely the reason we will be back !
The food was delicious! The waiter was great, but the hostesses was very rude. I forgot to change the number of people for the reservation from the default two(honest mistake) and she was very rude about it. The restaurant was mostly empty. And there was clearly available reservations for our party size at the same time.
I was actually a little disappointed in Gaetano's this time around. We've been before for dinner and for brunch. Our server was slow and not very attentive. I do understand he had a lot of tables but a quick walk by would have been helpful. My stuffed shells were burned on the top which made them kind of crispy to eat. They were still extremely flavorful. I loved the red sauce and the pesto sauce. Delicious! My daughter loved her eggplant parmesan. It took forever for us to get a water refill (which is all my daughter drinks). When he came by to finally drop it off, it was a weird excuse about his water bottles being warm. I'm not sure exactly what he said. He never even asked us if we wanted dessert. He just brought the check. We would have indulged since it was a celebratory dinner for my daughter starting her senior year. Oh well. Hopefully this was an anomaly and service will be better next time. I'm not giving up hope. The food is delicious here!
Dinner was delicious, service was impeccable and the ambiance was very pleasing.
Great service and delicious meal! Will be again ASAP!
We will definitely be back. Very authentic and enjoyable.
Food quality has gone down hill within the last couple times I have been there.
Excellent menu with plenty of pasta dishes. Everyone in our party of six was happy with their choices
Food is fabulous, excellent value, great ambiance, friendly service. Carbonara is delightful, chicken parmesan is delicious, eggplant Parmesan also excellent. Love it!
Nick the server was outstanding!!!! The food was great too!!!
Was a little disappointed this time. Was too hot as was told no AC. Had to ask Hostess for our waiter as he didn’t come around much and had many excuses for not doing so. Was not as crowded so...but, the food was great as usual and of course the entertainment by Derek is always a treat.
Food and service was excellent. It was a bit crowded and seating was very close to adjacent tables which makes it a little uncomfortable, yet does give you that authentic New York style italian mob joint. Fun place, good food, I would recommend!
So good!! A little spicy for my taste (I’m a wimp), but still so delicious!!
Classic old time bar restaurant. Enjoyed simple lunch. Look forward to martini and dinner next time
Service was way too slow. It took over 15 minutes after seating for our server to acknowledge we were there. Just tell me you will get to us. I’ll wait but you need to communicate
Our Server, Logan, was fantastic. The food was delicious. A great experience.
We found this restaurant on the usual dining websites. It was rated very highly. We arrived early for our reservation and were seated immediately in a very cramped booth and the air conditioning did not seem to be on so it was about 80 degrees in the room. It took over 20 minutes to get our drinks because it so seemed that the one and only bartender was also waiting tables by the bar. The soup came out before the first round of drinks to which the waitress asked if we were ready to order, I asked if the drinks were ever coming? To be fair 4 out of our party of 5 enjoyed their food, the fifth persons food came out completely wrong, we were afraid to send it back because the night was already getting long and everyone was sweating at that point. I would caution people to not expect the greatest service and not a good place if you just want to get in and out quickly.
I LOVE Gaetanos. This was my last place to eat before I moved from Arvada. The music was great, and I even won the raffle. The watermelon Margherita was excellent. The food was amazing. I am going to miss Gaetanos very very much.
Always great food and service. Small crowded space but hitch can be loud on a busy evening.
Good Ole Italian experience and food! If you looking for Ole School this is the place. Ambiance and food absolutely delicious!
Was recommended as a great Italian restaurant. The lobster ravioli & pizza was delicious. Our waiter was very helpful & attentive.
We very much enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service. We were very close to other diners, which made conversation less intimate, but it wasn't that way in all areas of the restaurant. Nick, our waiter, was very helpful and courteous and again we did enjoy ourselves and will be dining here again. Have already recommended it to family members who also enjoy Italian food.
Our experience was not a good one. Our server suffered a seizure (no ones fault) but the ability for them to recover from the unfortunate situation was catastrophic. We did not cause a fuss as we were concerned for the server, but after they got him up and into the ambulance (>45 minutes) we still had to chance down a new server for ourselves. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. The air-conditioning unit was also not working or not able to keep up, my husband was in shorts and a golf shirt and was sweating the entire time. I do not see us going back.
The place is awesome! The atmosphere and very stylish decor is a great setting for the best Italian you will ever have. Everything we ordered was delicious and I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and it was perfect, but ordered additional alfredo sause and was told it would be handmade fresh and would take 10 minutes, that's the kind of quality and freshness that made our last night in Denver great.
What a great time! We celebrated a birthday .. and met four other people celebrating the same birthday. From elder to older to millennial to a young child .... very cool! The food was great and our waiter took care of one little issue very quickly and politely. It was a little strange that only one of the staff knew much about the 'story' behind the restaurant, but the fantastic food and service and meeting some really nice folks with same birthday meant we had a wonderful time and hope to return.
As usual, the food was amazing. Our waiter was having a hard time. John didn't tell us about any specials. Maybe our table was too small. Forget 2/3 of the entree order and didn't place it with the kitchen. Bread "that was coming out of the oven", eventually showed up cold.
We don't know what was up that evening, but the service was sub par.
So amazing! The service and food can't be beat.
We always enjoy Gaetano's and have been going there since before it changed hands. We like the old, quieter neighborhood atmosphere better, but the food is still excellent. Our service this time wasn't great. We never got more water nor parmesan cheese topping. Also, apparently now you have to ask for bread. We didn't know that because our server never offered the choice. But the food is really great, so just tell your server, "Hey, don't forget to check on us!"
The sauce on the mussels is worth $4 to take home, trust me.
I hope this restaurant never goes away! It is always fun to be here, and everyone is very accommodating!
Great food and great service, noisy 15 top near us but besides that all was great
Good Italian food! My son loved the Alfredo. Was a very hot day in Denver and hot in restaurant. Loud from party next to us. Overall good experience.
God awful! The waiter did not seem interested in serving us, our entrees were terrible (we ate one bite and declined the rest), and we were still charged for the meals!! Wtf! Never again, we should have gone to Panzano’s like we normally do.
The place was packed on a Sunday evening at 7:00 and we're glad we had reservations. Seating is close, except on the patio, which I would recommend the next time we eat there. Service was excellent, prompt but not overbearing; our water bottle was refilled without us having to ask.
We had the Lobster Ravioli and the Chicken Picatta. The chicken wasn't as tender as I would have prepared it; it didn't appear to have been pounded. We also shared a Wedge salad and Flourless Chocolate Cake, which were excellent.
The food and the service were both very good. Our table was ready when we got there and they even gave us the table I requested when I made the reservation.
