Please join us for our awarded "Best Bloody Mary Bar" by Westword 4 years running. Also a great Italian style brunch with 6 different flavors of Bottomless Mimosas.
This place is feels like an authentic Italian mobster restaurant. Somebody could get whacked in a booth at any moment! The food tastes authentic as well - delicious, big portions.
A lot of fun and delicious. We cannot wait to go back
This was our first time there. It was absolutely the best Italian food I have had since leaving the East Coast. One of my very good friends growing up, had a grandmother straight off the boat from Italy. I think Gaetano's stole her recipe.
The atmosphere was very cozy and friendly.
The staff were amazing.
We will be making it a habit, when we're in Denver, to eat at Gaetano's.
Having a cool history doesn't hurt either.
Was at the Sunday brunch. Excellent service, food delicious; but disappointed no bread came with my entree. Eggplant Parmesan was very hard to cut; maybe due to the dull silverware. Could have used a serrated knife. Atmosphere was great.
Great service and ambiance, good food as well! We’ll be back!
Overall great italian food and service was outstanding.
great food but not much on the quantity...only got 6 ravioli for a serve.
Haven't been here in years and now I'm wondering WHY?? It was wonderful. Went with out of town friends - party of 5. We all got something different and traded tastes. Everything was delicious. Great service. I live across town but I will make a point to return. Worth the drive!
Gaetano’s is one of the few casual restaurants that I can rely on for food quality and consistency every time. Because of my more common experience of thinking I’ve found a good restaurant, only to be ultimately disappointed when the food quality invariably tanks, my appreciation for Gaetano’s can’t be overstated. I can bring friends and family to Gaetano’s and not be anxious about and embarrassed by the choice. You would think in a city like Denver with so many restaurants, finding good food and service would be easy, but that is not at all the case. Thank you, Gaetano’s, for keeping it real!
Great for date night or for family dinner.
We enjoyed our dinner and our birthday celebration, when our very nice waiter brought us a free dessert.
Classic Italian with warm vibe, good food and value.
We went for a friends birthday!
Service was amazing and it was a very pleasant atmosphere! A true gem!
Our waitress, Amber, made the experience very enjoyable. She was knowledgeable about the food, history of the restaurant, and was very personable and enjoyable. Food was very good, came out extremely quick. It was our first time there but not our last!!
It was wonderful after a stressful dau
It’s an OK place overall. Service was mediocre (we had to ask for forks and knives with our meals), and the food was standard Americanized Italian dishes. I.e. scoops of mozzarella melted over everything...which is about as un-Italian as it gets.
It’s a decent spot but I wouldn’t expect anything extraordinary here.
The gnocchi was excellent, not gummy or chewy, but soft and almost fluffy. The pesto pizza was also very good. It was good noise level at 11-12to carry on a conversation easily
Nice staff and good food, my one dish was much spicier than I anticipated and they gladly exchanged it for a new dish.
We love coming here and came to celebrate our one year anniversary of our first date! The 2 person tables are a little crammed and the dishes are a bit overpriced. However, we had enough for leftovers. The Malbec was not very good and usually is so maybe an old bottle. Very busy and loud for a snowy Monday night! Our server was pretty good but we watched other servers box up meals and she had us do our own on a tiny table.
Food was very good but no salad or bread included with our meal. Portions could have been a little more ample
The food was very good, probably our favorite Italian place in Denver. Our server, Nick, was excellent. Attentive at the right times but let us enjoy our meal. Had good suggestions for what to get as well. Ambiance was very nice, cool spot. It’s busy (for a reason) so don’t come expecting a quiet atmosphere. It gets loud as it gets busy but I could still hear across the table for conversation.
Nice wine list - the Montepulciano was delicious. We had the burrata for an appetizer and it did not disappoint- my lasagna was delicious and enough for two meals. The shrimp scampi was also done just right and the house made tiramisu was the perfect ending (also made in house). We will be back!
Great food and a super fun time with the Sinatra impersonator...
We decided to go to see, Derek Evilsizor as Frank Sinatra. He was amazing and was great with my 90+ parents.
The surprise was how great the restaurant was. Service was prompt and the food was excellent - big portions (we should have split)...and everyone was very friendly and personable. A little on the loud side, but it was a Friday night.
The team (from hostess and server to bartender and buser) were AMAZING! They helped pull off a surprise visit from an out of town family member on a busy Friday night. They all were having just as much fun helping us as the surprise itself. The food was great and the atmosphere was authentic! Super impressed and will be back soon! Thank you to all the staff who helped that night!
Wonderful as always. Food is good and it feels like going home.
Such a great local spot. Great service all
The way around and price right in line with what you’d expect. Easy accommodations on food requests. Fun bartenders, bar and selection.
Excellent! We're enjoying Gaetano's again today (twice in the same week).
Great food and ambiance! Would definitely come back!
Wonderful historic restaurant. Always a great Italian treat and the service was outstanding.
Best authentic Italian in Denver!
Hands down one of the best meals I've had in a long time!
Authentic atmosphere, fabulous food, exceptional service, reasonably priced.
Very good food and service. However, if you want to hear your conversation, consider that it is very loud.
Food is always solid. This time the server was soooo slow. Took 10-15 mins to get greeted by him and that’s how it was the entire dinner.
I've been dining at Gaetano's for many years - always has very good food. The wait staff helped us with the wine selection and did a great job, too.
I had Pesto Chicken. I think they ran out of basil as the food had zero flavor. Other person had lasagna, which was average.
Slow, non attentive service. No water refills, no drink offer refills, no follow up from wait staff.
The table we were given, with a reservation, was the one by the door and was cold. We were given this table after another couple had requested to move.
Overall, an over rated place with tasteless food and below average service.
The service was attentive and thorough, including a water carafe at the table. The food we chose was varied - salad, spaghetti, and appetizer - and excellent in all respects. We had time to sit and visit together, which was the best of all. The server very kindly documented our family reunion on multiple phones. Kudos to Gaetano's!
Enjoyed our meal, service was outstanding and food delicious! Just started to get really crowded as we were finishing, so glad our party of 6 decided to dine early!❤
Good food and fun place. Meals are priced well but wine is on the high side.
Our latest trip to Gaetano's was disappointing. The carbonara that is usually excellent was only mediocre. The pasta was clumped together and the flavor lacked something. We waited FOREVER for our wine order and we were told they were short on wine glasses. We had to ask for bread at an Italian restaurant. We have been to this restaurant before and loved it. Hopefully, this was an aberration and not a trend in the wrong direction. We will return and hope for better times.
