Gaetano's - Batavia
Absolutely the best time tonight.
The steak, the on point service and the dynamic sounds of the Scott Tipping Trio. Everyone dancing.Wow!
Service upstairs very poor. Had salmon which had fishy flavor
Gaetano's always delivers a flavorful, fine dining experience with excellent service from the dedicated staff.
Coupled with the wonderful sounds of the brilliant Scott Tipping Trio, there is no place I'd rather be on a Wednesday night in the greater Chicagoland area.
It was our first time to Gaetano's read the reviews we made a reservation when they opened at 4:30 which I advise we were seated in the upstairs dinning area very cozy if you have an issue with stairs I recommend sitting downstairs when we were finished a lot of people continued to be seated and the noise level escalated up until that time it was just us. Their homemade lemoncello is amazing best I have ever had food and service excellent I had the short rib husband had veal scallopini the shrimp bisque was out of this world will go again
I had heard great things about Gaetano's, but was very disappointed. The portions were very small, pretty tasteless, and OVERLY expensive. The atmosphere was cute, but didn't make up for the crazy cost. I don't plan to return.
The food was excellent but the decor was memorable. It can only be captured by seeing for yourself. Our service was excellent until the end when we retired to the bar for a final drink. Our waiter who was also then the bartender basically never came around to ask what we wanted to drink and we had to go up to him to ask for our final bill.
Loved the scallop appetizer, although a bit expensive for such a small portion.
The bisque was outstanding.
All 3 fresh pasta dishes we ordered were excellent.
Will definitely return soon
Great atmosphere. Great food-super fresh. Good wine list. Good limoncello.
I was celebrating my birthday with family and close friends. We all enjoyed our meals and sitting upstairs on the second floor was very pretty. We enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. We will definately come back.
One of the best meals I've had in ages. And the desserts are to die for. I can't wait to go back.
One of our favorite hometown places. Great food and service. Love the cozy atmosphere. Always try the specials, fab!!! Homemade humus with fresh warm bread slices, yummy. Wild boar special was very tasty.
Tremendous evening of delicious dining, drinking and dancing to the sounds of the Scott Tipping Trio.
Great food, great service. Dining area is a little tight and seats could be more comfortable. Overall glad we went there.
Excellent meal. I ordered one of the specials: halibut with a butternut squash sauce/soup and brussel sprouts. The dish was very well done and creative. Service was also excellent. The space is fun for a date night.
This restaurant is fabulous! Abby (our server) was very attentive. Our dinners were beautifully prepared and delicious. Highly recommended!
Outstanding food, staff and ambiance. If you haven't tried this restaurant, you are missing out on a great dining experience. Period.
Great eats....There is nothing not to to love. The portions are big. Great for lunch the next day.
Fantastic food and the garbanzo spread is to die for! Gaetano’s cares about quality food and tasty dishes. Love this place!! The cocktails are delicious 😋
My wife and I have been to Gaetano's 3 or 4 times. Food is always great, along with the service and ambience. We will come back.
Steaks cooked to perfection.
Drinks healthy and the Scott Tipping Trio making the night complete. Dancing is healthy when done under the guidance of this band.
Excellent service, drinks, wine selection and food. The meal was paced as it should be, to the beat of the diners. This was our first time dining here. We will be back.
A big fan or Forest Park location and now this one! Love the spinach gnocci!
Great service great food. A little pricey but not ridiculous. Home made scratch food and the freshness is there and evident
Food, service, atmosphere was all top notch!
Gaetano’s in Batavia always makes a great meal. It is our go to place when there is a special occasion or anytime we want a great meal. The service is outstanding. Wendy, the owner, has done a great job decorating and providing an ambience that cannot be beat. If you haven’t tried it, you should. The Gumbo Mambo Italiano is one of my personal favorites, as is the short rib and the ribeye.
I have told many people how I have never had a meal that I did not thoroughly enjoy. The quality of the food and service is outstanding!!
Such a cute place! The service was not the great, there were only a few other tables in there and the server never checked up on us. The food was decent, just a little pricey!
It was too hot in the restaurant. Food was average. Prices high
Our server Sully was a delight and really helped make the experience wonderful with excellent recommendations. We were by the kitchen which was distracting as their conversation overshadowed ours; they kindly moved us which we were grateful for.
Exceptional as always! Staff is very friendly and helpful, food is exceptional and the wine is delicious! The manager is very, very helpful and so friendly and she makes every trip to Gaetano’s a memorable one!
We have been going to Gaetano’s for years and always have a wonderful dinner. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff is very attentive but not hovering. I highly recommend the wood roasted scallops. Every time we go I say I’m going to get something different and tonight I almost ordered the salmon special, but alas, the scallops won again. Perfectly done, moist and delicious! My husband had the short rib ravioli. I had a taste and they were outstanding! This restaurant should not be missed, also, the stuffed zucchini flowers appetizer won’t disappoint.
We just love dining there, the staff always remembers you and is happy to see you return. Oh, and the cocktails are awesome, the Negroni is to die for and I hear the chefs Manhattan is too!
Go... you don’t know what you are missing. I don’t think there is a better restaurant in the tri cities, and we dine out a lot!
Had another fabulous meal as usual. Got daring and had boar roast and it was great! Love the variety of menu choices.
Gracious dining, excellent food without feeling hurried. Feels like a large city bistro in quiet Batavia.
We would definitely return.
Very good food and service, horrible, Salvation Army chairs and tables, eclectic decorations and a bit overpriced.
Outstanding food and service! The food was perfectly prepared, incredibly creative, and utterly delicious! Out waiter was top-notch. Definitely a 5-star. It will be on my 'favorites' list.
Good food, service was good, prices little high.
Ordered the Ribeye MR and came out mostly rare, sent back to cook a bit more, came back MW and chewy. $39 steak. Disappointing. The Rigatoni with sausage we really good as my wife let me have a taste:) Need better value for the price. Nice spot though and . I would go back to try something different.
Best food I’ve had in a while. Bubba was our server. He was very knowledgeable and did a great job. The staff was very welcoming and very polite. I’ll definitely be back.
Food was great. Service was average for the prices.
Kids came to visit.
