   We've been going to Gabriel's on and off for several years. I keep hoping that the food gets better, but it hasn't. The guacamole is, as always, terrific. But the food was bland, little flavor or spices. The biggest disappointment is what everyone talks about: the margaritas. These are small, watery, have barely any alcohol, and taste like the lime juice comes preprocessed from an industrial-sized bottle. All this for $9.50 for a house margarita! Total bill before tip: $69.50. Not worth it--except for the guacamole. By comparison, we were just at Tomasita's today. Their food is well above in taste and quality. Their margaritas set the standard (house margarita: $8.00) for freshness and taste. Total bill before tip: $42.00

   We brought friends from out of town here because the images from the website suggest that this place has beautiful views and ambience....unfortunately that was not our experience. Dirty plates left around, bus stations in full view of tables that could have been easily hidden...and the food was just mediocre at best. Much better choices for authentic Mexican food in Santa Fe. We will not likely be coming back. p.s. we had mentioned it was our anniversary. Apparently celebrating with friends on an anniversary doesn't warranted anything special from this place.

   We always come here when visiting Santa Fe and it has never disappointed. We had a pretty early reservation on a Wednesday so got seated quickly. Service was great and table side Guacamole excellent as always. For us, the best meal we’ve had during the duration of our one week visit.

    The carne adovada was not good. It taste more like mole. The fish tacos were very bland. Fajitas should come out sizzling not cold. My daughter was given a glass that was chipped and she cut her finger. Way overpriced. Mother’s Day was disappointing.

    Our table was completely ignored the entire time. Any time we needed our drinks refilled we had to get up and find someone. Then when we were all done with our meal we had to find someone to bring our bill and to go boxes. They were on top of clean our table around us as soon as they gave us the bill.

    Husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Gabriel's. We made a reservation, which I recommend. After we arrived, tables became limited. So many restaurants are understaffed right now. The food was delicious and excellent. We both loved our meals. Our server was good, but didn't check up with us much. There was dried lettuce on a fork, but husband ate with his spoon, which worked out fine. Utensil/napkin rollers might look more closely at the utensils to prevent that. The food was very, very tasty, and we would definitely go to Gabriel's again when we're in the area.

    Seated quickly in table next to patio window. The food was excellent, service not so. Waiter never asked to refill water glasses. We had to ask him to come next to or table to prepare guacamole so we could watch. Waited 10-15 minutes after the table was cleared to get our check.

    First visit to this restaurant and I would say very disappointed. I’ve always heard this was one of the best in Santa Fe and all of our food was served Luke warm, the crab enchiladas and fish tacos had no flavor and were barely warm enough to eat. I was under the impression that this was a fine dining restaurant but when we were seated it was far from that. Old furniture and looked more like from a diner than a nice restaurant. Not sure I would go back with all the choices in Santa Fe.

    We have dined at a number of restaurants in Santa Fe. We like the food at Gabriels and will return. Our waiter was less than attentive, but I suspect he was distracted by a large party. That will not influence our desire to return. We finished dinner at sunset, and the view of the sun setting on the mountains was amazing.

    This is one of my new favorite restaurants. The food was amazing. We asked the waiter for recommendations and they were spot on. Our waiter was good and could have been a little more attentive, we were in a corner table so not always easy to s watch. This was very minor. While the restaurant is not in Santa Fe, the drive was not bad. I visit Santa Fe regularly, I will make it a point to come here often!

    This was our first time to Gabriel's. We have heard great things about this restaurant from others, so we decided to try it out. The enchiladas were amazing! The corn, rice, and beans that were served with my combination platter were spot on! I had a tamale with my combination dinner and it was amazing! The service, ambience, music (not live).....all great! The service was QUICK! The guacamole that was made table side was excellent. We have eaten at many many Mexican restaurants in our life (husband and me), and this was among the best. Highly recommended!

    We go to Gabriels at least every 2 weeks. It is our favorite Mexican restaurant. We made our reservation, showed up on time. The place was packed. Our waiter was fairly prompt with drinks and our food order. The food came out luke warm, and we were not given the opportunity to order a second round. Disappointed. Won’t discourage us from continuing to go, however, we would like it to be better.

    Overall, was a good Mexican restaurant. Food and drinks were good. My only complaint is they seem to want to rush you through. I can see why they might do that considering the short window for dining hours in Santa Fe. Still, I don't like spending $100 in less than an hour.

    My waiter was in such a rush I felt like I was lucky to have him long enough to order once. He didn’t check back after we got our food and I had to flag other wait staff down to get what we needed including things I had already asked our waiter for or things as simple as more water. Other than that food was great as always and the wait was minimal with our reservation.
