Gabriele's Italian Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Truly amazing food. Excellent Service .
I took my love of my life here after coming back from cutting down a Christmas tree, the service and food is truly amazing here. After having appetizer and waiting for our main course, I took my girlfriend by the fireplace w a glass of wine, before we know it staff at Gabrielle’s set a table for us right in front of the fireplace... a moment and service that truly will be remembered till the end of time..
Thank you at everyone at Gabriele’s to make this evening extra special .
This was my second time at Gabriele's for my husbands birthday. Disappointed! Service was not great, food subpar for the price. Ordered a margarita with salt and it came with sugar! Ordered the ricotta gnocchi and they were dry and sparse. Will not be returning.
Very disappointing tonight. I've been there 5-6 times. Tonight was not good. Tonight they served the food diner style. My wife's salad and my 1/2 dz oysters came out <5 mins after ordering. Both were pre-made. Plates were cold. The wedge salad was good. My oysters were old, dry and tasteless. I sent them back. No apology. No offering of any kind. No manager came over. They brought over a new 1/2 dz. This time I was told they were just shucked. Like it was something special. The T-bone was good. The chicken was good. The loaded baked potato was good. But I was too annoyed with the deception to enjoy anything.
Filet mignonette was excellent. Ambiance outstanding.
Waiter had no sense of our pace and rushed us. Poured the wine too fast. (A trick for patrons to buy more)
Waiter really ruined our experience. Too brash and not polished.
Waited over half an hour for reserved table. No big deal since Tony the host is very friendly.
Waiter had such an attitude to the women at the table it was embarrassing. Food was sub par, gnocchi's were large and doughy. Truffled mash potatoes were bitter tasting. Not a good night...
I have always loved dining here. Something has changed though. The service was great but the food quality just wasn't the same. My steak was overcooked (I ordered medium rare and it was more medium well). The broccoli (my favorite item here - go figure) isn't as good as I remembered it. I was grateful that our waiter let me try a wine before ordering it. The glass of wine I ended up having was great but overpriced for the small amount you're poured. It was also very warm in there. I don't think we'll be going back any time soon.
we arrived 5 mins early and were told our table would be ready soon. We waited over 30 mins and watched 4 other tables get seated who arrived after us. I mentioned i didn't eat pork when the waiter placed something on our table and he didn't bring bread for me because i didnt eat the pork item until i asked for it. He wouldn't take parts of our order without taking the whole order, he wouldn't accommodate my no pork with another item on the menu that i was really excited to order - quoting it was premade -and then my $60 steak came out raw. i will not go back
We have been to Gabriele's several times, which were positive experiences. This time was different and not in a good way. The lights were bright, there was no atmosphere. The service was slow and uninterested in moving our dinner along. But most notably, the food was not good. The bacon appetizer was chewy and fatty, the swordfish was dry and way over cooked, the pasta sauce on the penne was sour, etc etc. This restaurant has gone down hill. We won't be back.
I was in the mood for a good porterhouse steak and decided to try Gabrieles again, hadn't been in years. I ordered a 1/2 bottle of Opus One ($300) in anticipation of a fabulous porterhouse for 2 (48oz. $56pp). We ordered cocktails and apps; 1/2 doz oysters, grilled octopus and kale salad. The octopus was perfectly seasoned and tender. The two small pieces sat on top of a full plate of fava beans with tomato sauce (not depicted this way on the menu). Suggestion: more octopus and no compote please. The kale salad was ordered without nuts due to my guests allergy issues. My guest picked the nuts out of her salad after my failed attempt to secure our waiters attention. The steak and side dishes were served almost 30 minutes after the apps were cleared; way too long a wait. We enjoyed some of the amazing wine while waiting for dinner, we were thankful for the focaccia on the table. The porterhouse for 2 came out of the kitchen a porterhouse for 1, sliced and over cooked at md well (ordered md rare, on the rare side) and almost cold. Busboy simultaneously brought side dishes and while the waiter slowly served us 2 slices ea of steak, I tasted a side dish. Hate to say it but it was also not. I looked up to speak with the waiter but he was in a hurry saying"Enjoy!" After the nuts ordeal, I was annoyed about the steak and wanted to speak to the mgr. After 5 minutes of trying to get some attention I gave up and ate. When the busboy cleared our table I asked him to bag up the 3 pieces of $112 steak left (once home I realized they were too fatty to eat)and the mascarpone mashed potatoes. The sides of overly sweet brussel sprouts and overbaked spinach Rockefeller were a no thanks. The waiter returned for a dessert order and since the table was cleared, discussing the fiasco was moot. We ordered one dessert, 2 Sandemans and 2 espressos. Bill was about $800, I tipped 20% on food ($80) knowing I would never return. Valbella, you are the only Italian steakhouse for me!
