Pickering Restaurants

Excellent night, a birthday celebration for two. We arrived early and had a cocktail pre dinner. We were seated outside on an inner table as requested. We both chose the Piri Piri chicken on a skewer, which was delicious, accompanied by an excellent bottle of Pino Grigio. We travelled from Durham to celebrate my wife's birthday in Whitby and dine at Harry's lounge, as ever Whitby and Harry's did not disappoint

Clearly early days for this restaurant, food was fantastic, we had the goats cheese burger and the hake, both really nicely presented, tasted good and perhaps the best burger I’ve had in a while. Both had sticky toffee puddings, stunning dessert, plus cocktails. Service was very slow and clearly on the learning curve, despite being 20% full at most. Staff were lovely though, completely recommend and will search out the restaurants other sites in future.

Lovely, fish-oriented restaurant. Courteous service in the best way. I love restaurants that offer you an aperitif and a menu somewhere comfy before showing you to your table. I also love those that give you an amuse-bouche. Food lovely - the fish pie was amazing. Wine very reasonably priced. Desserts to die for. I would go back in a heart beat.
