My significant other and I came here for our three year anniversary. They offer a date night special on Tuesdays which is two entrees, a bottle of wine, and a dessert for 49 dollars. A very good deal for the food we ordered. I ordered the duck breast and my SO ordered the pasta puttanesca. We were both very pleased with our meals and the cream puffs for dessert were to die for. We had three outstanding meals at Chester's which included exceptional service that was efficient and friendly. Every meal we ordered was delicious, and we splurged and tried dessert at the waiter's recommendation--it was amazing. Everything was perfect! MoreOpenTable Diner -
Rochester, Minnesota, is a welcoming community and home of the Plummer House, which features a quarry, water tower, gardens and a large event facility. To start your day, visit one of the many coffee shops or bakeries in Rochester and try a cafe au lait or bold-roasted coffee and pair it with a biscotti, apple fritter or Berliner doughnut filled with fruit preserves. Swedish food is a popular type of cuisine in Rochester, reflecting many city residents' historic Scandinavian roots. Swedish meatballs paired with mashed potatoes, gravy, pickles and lingonberry jam is a traditional meal to enjoy at one of the family-owned and operated restaurants. Herring is also a favorite local specialty. You could try it pickled, which is the traditional Swedish way, or have it fermented with boiled potatoes and cabbage.
