- JJaneKent •4 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoExcellent, fresh food in a beautiful environment, overlooking the bay. We went on a Tuesday night which was very quiet and we sensed the young woman serving us was keen to close the premises by 8.30. We had booked for 6.30 so understand we might be expected to have finished by then but we weren’t offered any desserts or coffee! There was also a young man serving who was very polite and helpful. Would definitely comeback as it is such a great restaurant, just a shame our waitress didn’t share our enthusiasm.More infoThe St Mildreds BayPrice: Moderate• British• Westgate-On-Sea•4.7

- PPatrickLondon •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoAnother outstanding meal at Qunice. It really was a great find. Beautifully done out, great ambiance it’s a lovely place to dine with a relaxed, warm and friendly atmosphere. The food.. wow! Rafa and Ben the owner chefs use the best local, seasonal ingredients to create innovative, delicious dishes which never disappoint, but often exceed expectations. As an amusee bouche we had roasted red pepper with toasted hazelnut on a water biscuit and the flavour of the red pepper was so beautifully intense it was a real surprise. My crab starter was light, delicious and packed with flavour. With fresh crab meat on croutons in a creamy, flavour packed broth. My main of Flavour Doddington Lamb was mind blowing! Beautiful, sweet, tender lamb, cooked to perfection with white beans and broad beans and artichoke hearts which looked like they had been seared or torched with an intense flavour. The white beans were almost creamy in contrast to the broad beans. It was a work of art. There was a drizzle of an oil/sauce here and there etc.. I had potatoes Anna and buttered spinach with it which were a perfect accompaniment. My wife had pork terrains to start which she loved and sea bass main which she said was the best sea bass dish she’d had in ages. For desert I had millionaire shortbread with a light coffee cream on the side.. which was so light but boy you could taste the coffee.. it worked brilliantly. My wife had a death by chocolate desert which she couldn’t get enough of. They have a broad drinks/wine list which showcases local wines and beers as well as an excellent choice of internal ones. We had a fabulous French Malbec with the main called Less Violets which had a wonderful bouquet and whilst packed with flavour it was light enough to work with the fish but had enough body for the lamb. Service is warm, friendly and very efficient. They had a full house but just two of them worked so well as a team to keep everyone happy. We will be back when we can.More infoQuince WestgatePrice: Very Expensive• British• Westgate-On-Sea•4.9
