Stopped for dinner before seeing Hamilton. The food was great, will definitely go back.
Thank you so much for your review! We hope to see you again in Downtown Providence at GPub! Best, Victoria Realejo Restaurant Manager
Great food. Waitress was terrific. A bit loud though
We had a Saturday evening reservation and were seated promptly. Unfortunately we waited a long time before a server came to greet us. Server wanted to take our drink order but we hadn’t been given menus. We finally got drinks and our food. Thumbs up for food & beverages. But horrible waitress. If we return we’d just sit at bar for drinks.
I would recommend to a friend for drinks and ambiance. The rooftop is really nice!! However, it took an hour and a half for us to get our food, while everyone around us was getting theirs. We almost left, but our server talked us into staying, assuring us that our food would be out in 5 minutes and yet it still took another 20. We were starving. I thought that she would at least offer a little something off of the bill for the inconvenience, but nothing. Very dissatisfied with the service!!
Cool place inside. Food was ok, apps and drinks way better than meals. Service started ok but got incredibly slow as he night went on. My husband ate his entire meal without getting a refill on his drink, never mind water. Might be a good place for drinks and apps, but probably wouldn’t go for dinner again.
Waitress forgot order, then brought wrong item
Great atmosphere! Awesome food
Great as always!
Not a fan. Didn’t have the beer we ordered. Didn’t get the correct food we ordered. Maybe they were having an off night. Idk. We won’t be back
Food was decent. Waitress tried to overcharge by $25. She was
Deplorable service at almost every opportunity.
Cool place with great food, prices weren't bad either.
We came after the Providence College graduation and it was perfect! Great food and service and with the pool tables to let us play and relax a little
Nachos were delicious! The tuna wrap did not have much tuna in it, which was disappointing. The seasonal sangria was tasty, but very sweet.
Love the atmosphere and the food! Service was EXTREMELY slow though!
There was some kind of "The Office" pub crawl going on causing the bar area to be overcrowded. The noise was so excessive that the waitstaff couldn't hear orders properly, which caused incorrect drinks to be delivered.
Went to eat before a show at PPAC, great choice! Very casual, huge place, food, drink & sevice was great, better then I expected!
Awesome ! Great food service and ambiance ! We will go back !
Frist, the date of this dining experience was 7/23/19. The first time we visited in April, it was great! This time different. Be careful if you are going to see a popular show at PPAC. We were going to Hamilton. Which they knew about becuase they had a sepcial Hamilton menu online. But did not provide it to the patrons. They clearly were not prepared. Even though the restaurant wasn't that crowded. Took forever for her to take our order. Took 45 minutes for food to come. It came at 6:35 and the show was at 7! We barely made it in time after scarfing down our mediocre, at best, food. I had the BLTA which was all bread and very dry. My SIL had bad stomach ache from the bacon on her BLTA the next day. The bread wasn't even really toasted. My mothers burger was undercooked. The fries were very good, but salty. She ended the night by bringing me the wrong drink. And it was so late I told her to take it off the bill because I had no time to drink it. All this for $165 before tip for 6 people (only 3 alcoholic drinks). Will think twice before I go there before a show again. So many other options in PVD.
Horrible experience!! Took almost an hour to get appetizers. I brought this to the managers attention. After this another hour later still no entrees!!. Our waitress then has the nerve to ask us what did we order!!! Needless to say 2 hours later we left with no dinner. Unacceptable
Atmosphere was great but the food was not...good place to go and play pool, but don't go hungry.
Every thing was great except for the fact the waitress messed up my husband's order. It took an additional 15 minutes for his food to come out after the rest of the tables. Which made my husband upset. I would have liked to see a manager come over and compensate something for it. That would have made the night 10 out 10. Instead I would say 6 out 10.
Drinks were very weak.
They closed over 30 minutes early.
Bartenders were chatting among themselves even though people were waiting to order drinks.
They decided to pull the tables apart literally yanking my elbow out from were it was resting.
Sam was our waitress and she was FANTASTIC , great sense of humor and attentive
Thank you very much for the kind words and for taking the time to let us know how great your server was. We appreciate the review and will be sure to pass this along to Sam! Sincerely, GPub Management
Our meal at G Pub was delicious and exactly what we were looking for prior to seeing a show at PPAC. The lighting could have been a little brighter at that time of day (6p) and the music was a little loud - we were a group of 5 meeting to have conversation. Unfortunately due to the location of the speakers (quite a few, everywhere) it made it difficult to talk.
Nice sports bar overall, has pool table and foosball and tons of TVs. Beer selection good. Food wasn't very good however. Probably good place for beer and appetizers but wouldn't generally recommend for dinner.
Went for early dinner after a show; food was yummy. Wine was eh. I guess that’s my fault for ordering wine at a pub which specializes in beers. good prices; cool atmosphere.
Great food and friendly staff!
Excellent food, great service from Leah. Cool atmosphere noisy but not unbearable. Creative food items and drinks..had the chicken and waffles and others had burgers. We will definitely be back.
Had to wait for our reservation, after being seated waited another 20 min before having to go back to the hostess to get a server. Server took our order, appetizers and dinner came out at the same time. Had to go back to the hostess to get our check as our server disappeared? Worst experience we have ever had at GPub.
Put the short rib grilled cheese back on the menu and maybe you’ll see us back.
I thought the Mac and cheese with shredded pork was good but not much pork in there.
Great sport... menu could use a steak..turn down the music a touch! Service was great.
This is the perfect place to go before a show at the PPAC. The bloody mary's are excellent. That was the best part. Decent nachos but needed more cheese. Service was friendly. My daughter had mac and cheese. Kind of blah. Grilled asparagus very good but small portion. Warm pretzel with cheese was just okay. Comfortable booths and we would go back again.
G Pub is a better bar then restaurant. Food is ok, atmosphere is fun, but loud.
Arrived to find that they were a stop on an 80s themed pub crawl. The staff seemed surprised by this, but were doing their best to serve the people who had reservations, while being completely overwhelmed by a herd of people who looked way too old to be that hammered at 6:00 on a Saturday.
I think GPub did their best, but the place was a complete circus.
Just an overall bad experience. Too many drunk kids, music too loud, service too slow and food bland and cold
It’s a sports bar with high-end bar food. It was a convenient place to grab a bite before the theater.
Great tacos and we started with warm pretzels. Good choices on the menu.
Went there with 2 other couples, all in our early 50's. Clearly, we were older then the mostly college crowd, however it was PC Parents weekend so we were fine. The food was great, mostly bar food but really good. Drinks were cold, service was good and they had foosball! What more do you need?
