This too, is the goal of our kitchen staff - to prepare every dish as if it were the chef's only concern.
Our menu is a pleasing combination of contemporary American cuisine & many low country influences. The daily fish specials are always highly appreciated & sell out regularly.
The wine list consists 25 offerings by the glass & a nice variety of perennial favorites & well respected small producers.

EXCELLENT food and wonderful staff
G. Michael's is one of our favorite date spots. It is consistently great - service, food, and ambience!
Such a great, well-rounded experience for my boyfriend and I. We enjoyed three courses as well as a few drinks. Server was personable and the attention to detail was incredible. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Would definitely recommend the Pork Chop Au Poivre if you are a fan of traditional southern comfort foods. Check them out!
David our waiter was great. We went fir our anniversary and top to bottom weren’t at all disappointed.
When I dine at G. Michael's, I'm treated as a valued guest. In fact, the staff makes me feel more like a family member. My favorite server is Carrie but the others are excellent if she isn't available. On this visit, Eric was our server. He is relatively new but immediately fit right in. He is attentive and efficient.
On this occasion, I had the pork chop topped with pulled pork, which was delightful. My wife enjoyed the duck.
Always good food, always pleasant, welcoming staff. Kudos to Jeff and Courtney for keeping the front of the house running.
I love the innovative variety in the menu here. The Creole Mahi was OUTSTANDING! The service is wonderful, attentive but not intrusive.

This was our first time. G Michael’s is truly a hidden gem. Amazing food. Great service from start to finish. The atmosphere is really warm as well. Think we found our new spot!
Robert (valet) welcomed us with immediate attention and appreciation for being there. He's a real asset as the first person we see. Courtney seated us at a wonderful, quiet, romantic table and made sure our flowers were on the table before we arrived. She was courteous and friendly and helpful all evening. Eric served us in a relaxed yet highly professional way. He knows his stuff from the food to the wine and made our meal special. The food was superb, as always. And when it was time to leave Robert was instantly there with our car. It could not have been a more enjoyable experience. These people know how to make diners feel welcome and comfortable. Great job! What's more, it like this every time I dine here!

Our only complaint is that the menu doesn't change enough. We would come more often.
I loved it! I was not a fan of the parsnip and potato mashed potatoes, they had a grassy finish. Everything else was wonderful my steak was so tender and perfectly cooked! The service was amazing!
Always outstanding! We eat here often. The chef is so creative - we often get the specials which are consistently delicious. The staff is wonderful and very in tune to the current social distancing set up with WAY more than 6' between tables so this is one place we have felt safe to dine in. Highly recommend this neighborhood gem!

Driving through Columbus around dinner time. Found a reservation. Just outside of downtown area. Great valet parking. Food and service were excellent. If we lived in Columbus this would be a regular hangout

G. Michael's Bistro & Bar is a favorite romantic spot. Service is always top-notch as is the food. We visited on a cold evening with Covid protocols in place. The seating of other tables was a little closer than I would have preferred given the situation. However, the layout of the restaurant is in 3 separate rooms (bar, conservatory, backroom/kitchen) so there is some natural division provided. Staff members are all friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I had the brussels sprouts, scallops, chocolate chess pie. My husband had the butternut squash soup, trout, and lemon gingersnap tart. All were prepared beautifully and tasted great. The chocolate chess pie, however, is now my new favorite dessert. I would highly recommend G. Michaels. Enjoy!!

My husband and I always choose this restaurant for our special occasions because of the level of service and quality of food and drink. Terribly sad to be leaving Columbus because we will have to find a new “go to” restaurant!
