We were celebrating my birthday, so decided to come to g Foley’s because I wanted our evening to be special.
The place is lovely, would have been nice to have a little music playing.
There where 2 Christmas parties there who where having a nice time no problem .
We ordered 2 soups which were cold so sent them back, the manager looked after us and took them off our bill. He took care of the problem which was great.
The food was good but took a long time waiting for it. I know it was busy because of the Christmas parties going on so did not stay for dessert.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
One entree Undercooked and the other was so over cooked it was like cutting leather.
The atmosphere was amazing the food was out of this world the service was great definitely in my time here at Panama City it has been the best overall meal and It will be a do over before I leave.
Steak was sub par, cooked well, just a poor piece of beef. For 30 bucks, it should be prime, not Select that they are selling as Choice. Full of gristle.
Chicken was covered in Goat cheese, not a dollop or even a scoop, covered. We could not taste anything but the goat cheese.
Excellent yummy food
We have visited several times. Fresh red snapper was served gluten-free (thanks, Chef). The service was attentive, professional, and prompt. The salad, entree, sides, and creme brulee were all delicious.
Brandon was most attentive without being intrusive. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was gay but not raucus . totally enjoyable evening. Looking forward to my next reservation there
Great experience from the minute we walked in the door. 14 oz. ribeye was amazing! Loved the Grapefruit Vodka Martini during happy hour.
Food and ambience were good, service was ok. We were celebrating our 14 yr wedding anniversary and were dressed to the max, expecting a romantic and special dinner. So it would have been nice if server would have asked if we were celebrating something special and offered a complimentary desert, with the money we paid. So I think they did the bare minimum. Many 5 star restaurants will ask and offer things like that for birthdays and anniversaries, but not here.
Server had no knowledge of the menús. Appetizer we ordered was well below expectations, the worst part of it is the fact that the server couldn’t even explained what was in the platter we ordered. As far I’m concerned the server had 0 knowledge of the menu and he couldn’t take constructive criticism that he asked his manager to talk to us. The only problem was the he sons y want to listen to our complaints....
A mixed bag. Pork and fish were fine, but the $30 ribeye was a 14 ounce piece of fat. Manager gave us a discount on that but still it was disappointing.
I do love this resturant however for the prices they charge in this city, compared to other resturant, I think it’s a little ridiculous to nickel and dime people the way they do.
I came in during happy hour, did not order any drinks off the happy hour menu, paid for price and when I asked for an extra stick of blue cheese stuffed olives they charged me a dollar for the extra stick.
Food was good but one one person who had a $45 check all by myself and they wanna add a dollar for two stuffed olives, yeah I think that’s a little much
The waiter was awesome however and I do always love their food but it little stuff like that which turns be off
Great spot, and looked like a great bar too with a good happy hour. Side note, this is in Panama City but very convenient to PCB for you beach goers,,,
The lunch menus is a bit too limited, but it's a bargain price for what you get.
My wife had the chefs special of the night Sirloin with crab meat and I ordered the crab bisque and shrimp and grits. The bisque came out right away and was delicious. Unfortunately it was all down hill from there. We sat for 40 minutes before our waiter came over and apologized for the slow service. We got our entrees about 10 minutes later and the food was not hot. Shrimp and grits were okay. Portion was very small. My wife's steak was tough and a very small portion. No worries about the size since she did not eat it all. She says it was mediocre at best and expected a much higher quality in a chefs special at $40 plus. We waffled back and forth after our last visit if we should come back to G Foleys. No waffling after this visit, we will not be back.
This is one of those restaurants that you can see Robert Irvine walking in the door and he really needs to come
Starter cheese plate the meat with a knife was hard to slice cheese clumps
main dishes prime rib ( special of the night) over cooked no seasoning
filet mignon salty , tough to the point of being uneatable
both dishes had asparagus way over cooked
did not stay for desert just wanted to call it a night
We have been to G Foley’s on several occasions while on vacation. Every time we have been the service and the food is wonderful. Also try the bread pudding. Always great!
Great food and service. Always love the ambiance of the place. Will be back again sometime soon!
Service very good. Martini outstanding. Noise level too high until two families with small kids left. Food is always very good. Try to eat hear whenever we are in PC.
Excellent service...the second time we have had Chris as our server.
The Tarpon Dock grouper and the snapper were both delicious. They need to improve their crime brûlée...it resembled vanilla pudding.
Service was awful. Music was great. Food was good. Gorgeous evening so it was great to sit outside
Me and kay really love coming here and is our frequent Friday night after work spot
It amazes to find such a large venue nowadays. The post Labor Day week must be the beginning of off season in Panama City. Quiet dinning room, dark and quiet bar area. We enjoyed our date night in a dining room off the parking area- lots of fans a bit cool. Chef made a quick visit to the table next to ours- Wait staff effusive and attentive. Steak was well prepared.
I usually enjoy G. Foley’s but last night was a very off night for them. The fish I ordered was not fresh as well as most of the plate. Very disappointed. Not sure if I’m going back
This was our first trip here but we will definitely be back! Our new favorite place!
Everything was amazing! The service we received from Tiffany, the drinks were amazing, the food...wow and the atmosphere was perfect for what we were looking for. My husband and I were on vacation and couldn’t find anywhere to eat that was good to be honest. We finally found your restaurant for our last night there and it was phenomenal. We ordered the shrimp angel hair pasta dish and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We will be back! Thank you! Andre and Tracy Cimo
We got there for lunch and the place was 3/4 empty.
Got the daily special, salmon.
Came an hour late but it was really good
The service was incredible, and the overall vibe was fun. But the menu was limited, and there were very few side options to order from. The dessert was great though!
The food was great! The steak had so much flavor. No sauce needed.
When I reserved on Open Table, I requested a seat outside to watch the musicians. When we arrived, our table was ready and in a perfect location. The food and wine were perfect as usual ❤️
Wonderful new server named Molly. I hope we get her in the future. We also had the pleasure of meeting the new manager, Brandon.
I will highlight a few things:
- Brussels Sprouts were very good again
- Bread selection tonight was not one of my favorites at all.
- The waitress, while very friendly and kept a smile on her face did seem very new. Hopefully with more training and experience she will get better.
- Messed up the sauce on my wife’s dish but did replace it with another dish we asked for which was very delicious.
- Even though the manager offered dessert for the mistakes and we politely declined, we were charged for the dish we sent back, I’m not sure if the one we received was cheaper or not but who knows, again I think this is probably due to the waitress being new.
- Most Times I leave here leaving them all 5*’s but today was slightly underwhelming.
- I leave with the parting thought that I’m HOPING the waitress was new cuz if she’s been there for a while then oh boy!
We were looking for a restaurants to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. we did not want to eat at a restaurant on Panama city beach because of all the tourism, so we look for something in the city. We were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, the cost was reasonable, and the ambiance was fantastic. This seems to be a restaurant that only the locals seem to know about because there was not a tourist in sight. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a date night or an anniversary event while you are on vacation in Panama city beach and want to get off the beaten path.
We loved everything about it. The only issue we had is the continuity of the portions. My husband and son both got the swordfish. My husband received a nice filet where as my sons portion was a tiny little knob of a piece! For the same price. They both loved the flavor.
We eat here once or twice every year when we are in PCB. The food and service are usually outstanding. Our food was good, but not up to the quality we are used to. Actually, the choices on the menu didn’t look as good as usual either. Our steaks were over cooked. Our server was nice, but very inattentive. We would go for long periods without drink refills or any indication when the food would be ready. It took a really long time. We sat outside for the first time. Maybe that made a difference?
I would still give it one more chance though, because it’s been so good in the past.
The food had great flavor and was different than any steak we have ever had! Everyone was so sweet and friendly. Everything was so comfortable and enjoyable. Will definitely visit again when we come back to Panama ❤️❤️❤️
Everything was great! Chris was a great server and we look forward to going back soon.
We eat there every once in a while. The food is good and the service is friendly. I like that is has become consistent with food prep. A while back there were a bit hit and miss but the last few times we've been there the food is been noticably better.
Nice meal. Love that there was gluten free options for celiac diners.
Outstanding as usual finest place in the city. I have never been disappointed.
