If you like cottage cheese, this restaurant is for you. Bland. Overpriced. Underwhelming. I expected way more from a Ritz Carlton restaurant.

Great food. Impeccable service, which one would expect from a Ritz-Carlton restaurant. A little loud, but tolerable.

The service was excellent as always at the Ritz Carlton. The Shrimp and Grits were horrible. The Grits were grainy and undercooked. The Shrimp were rubbery and over cooked. Raphael my server was amazing and very responsive.

Fyve is a "captive experience" in the sense that only someone stuck at the Ritz Carleton on business would eat there. Sure, the food was good, but given the amazing restaurant scene in the MVA, I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. And the prices were...well it ain't called The Ritz for nothin'. The drinks were quite well prepared, albeit again, overpriced. But what do you expect from a joint that charges $49/day for parking?

Everything was fine, the only thing was when you go online, there is two different menus showing, and the on one menu it said Lamb Chops, I was so looking forward to that, but the menu given didn't have it

Food and service were excellent at Fyve. The shrimp and grits were very good, and the portion size was more than usual. A great addition to the hotel stay.

Sunday's buffet brunch added a 15-18% gratuity automatically to check. This was surprising since service on buffet days is noticeably poorer.

Can't comment on the food, since after reviewing their very limited brunch menu we left. Not even an omelet or plain waffle on the menu, but at least 6 variants of eggs benedict. Their version of french toast with peanut butter did not sound appealing. Seemed like they were trying way too hard to be trendy. Except in the decor, which was very sterile and uncomfortable.

The corn crab soup was absolutely incredible and the crab sliders and French fries excellent. The only bad note was at dessert. The ice cream flavor that accompanied the peach almond cake was awful, although the peach and almond cake were great. Our server was very attentive to my dining partner's gluten allergy.

The combination of outstanding, customized cuisine, attentive customer service and fun, atmosphere (when Tim Cretella is providing the musical entertainment) makes this my favorite getaway with family and friends. I never feel rushed and the food is the best quality available in Pentagon City. The chef and staff know and understand how to treat gluten free (Celiac) customers with no drama or hesitation.

While the selections for the Afternoon Tea were varied, the portions were made for mice. I've never attended an Afternoon Tea at a Hotel in which actual tea sandwiches were not provided. The only normal size offering was the scone. Definitely not work the $40.

The food was very good, the atmosphere romantic and very quiet, and we had great service. Its menu is a little limited. Although there is a I number of entrees, appetizers and deserts are limited. My wife, a small eater ordered the two non-soup hot appetizers, a crab cake and a ravioli with scallops. I tried both and have to agree with my wife they were excellent. I ordered the special, a seafood pasta. It was a little spicy but also very good. We could not find anything we wished to order on the desert menu but felt like having something. We asked the server, if they had some sorbet or ice cream we could have as a desert. She checked and brought us a big bowl of raspberry sorbet. It was not on the menu but was part of one of the deserts. We were pleased that they accommodated our request.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for the food is although my meal was delicious my wife's chicken was little burnt. Also the creme brulee had citrus, which I believe is was what it was named, but the citrus did kind of ruin the taste. Holi the waitress was fantastic however, and made the experience phenomenal.

I've visited this restaurant quite a few times for their Sunday brunch and I have yet to be disappointed. This latest time I went on Father's day and the food was great as expected. This time it was just buffet although I know that other times you have a menu choice along with the buffet. Nonetheless the service was great and so was the food. Would recommend for large groups as well.

This was my first time at Fyve - a friend chose it for my birthday celebration for Saturday brunch. The dining room is gorgeous and the tables and chairs are incredibly comfortable. The room seemed relatively loud at times, but I think it was carryover from the hallway leading to the rest room and conference rooms. The service is deferential and kindly, but it seemed as though the staff was difficult to locate occasionally. I don't think they were abandoning their posts (!), but sometimes it took awhile to flag someone down to get assistance. However, those who waited on us were very good. The food was good (we had pancakes, bacon, fried green tomatoes, and eggs benedict w/ salmon) and reasonably priced for a hotel. We lingered after finishing eating and did not feel rushed. Because of security, the door leading into the hotel from Pentagon City Mall is locked. However, when entering from the mall, there is a doorbell one may ring at that locked door to gain access to the hotel, rather than walking outside the mall and then around to the Ritz's front door. (Of course, if one is a overnight guest of the hotel, one may open that door with one's room key.)

We made the reservation a few days beforehand. When we arrived (at the specified time), the restaurant and bar lounge were not busy, and the hostess acknowledged we had a reservation. However, there was no table laid for us, and we were taken to a table in the bar area, although we would have preferred to be in the restaurant as expected. We were seated immediately adjacent to the only other people in the lounge, despite all the other tables being empty. We were also within sight and sound of a brightly lit noisy corridor. The food was ok, but very expensive, and the cheapest glass of wine at $14 was ridiculous, therefore the value was poor. My Wife's steak was very chewy and was taken off the bill, but it should never have been so tuff in the first place. We expected the evening to be more of an occasion, but we were underwhelmed. We had an overall better experience at Bonefish Grill the previous evening.

We were never offered a seat in the restaurant which was empty, we were never offered dessert the plates were cleared and the bill was delivered.

Mother's Day Brunch ... try as they may they missed the mark !! Specifically took my wife there based on a past great brunch ( though many years ago) and her request to return on Mothers Day. Friendly service, what of if there was but alas nothing remains the same. Not a good value for the cost and a forced exorbitant gratuity added to the bill. Not worth the money sad to say !!!

Fantastic evening w hubby during a weekend getaway in Arlington.
Superior service and quality here by Christopher who sat us in our reserved section and Raphael who provided 5 Star service. Our food came out hot, fresh and tasty.
We definitely look forward to returning when back in Arlington.

Atmosphere and service were great. Food was fair. There was too much butter incorporated into the dishes we had and it was over salted. For a higher end restaurant I was not expecting a digital menu as you would find at a table in a Chili's, kind of a turn off.
Nice place for a cocktail and maybe an appetizer in the lounge.
