Fushimi - Williamsburg Ratings and Reviews
The décor inside is amazing. I would suggest going at night when the whole place is literally glowing. Great for a girls night, birthday, date honestly anything. And the food was a tasty for a good price. Usually places with this décor especially in Brooklyn youd expect to be more expensive.
The food was delicious however the service was not good. Our waiter had a terrible attitude. We got up to go use the bathroom, our coats n bags was left at the table. The waitress came rushing with our bill and we wasn't ready maybe they thought we would run out🤣🤣🤣.
The food was good but a bit over priced.
Took my friend here to celebrate her birthday using a LivingSocial deal.. we came from NJ and the staff were respectful and courteous , the food was good and the ambiance was chill and trendy .. we loved the decor even the bathroom was beautiful! It was my friends birthday and I asked for her ice cream to be brought out with a candle and they came out and sang happy birthday with a sparkler. It was a nice night and I felt I got a great deal!
Thanks Fushimi Williamsburg !
The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious! The only down side is that the waiter offered us water, and then brought out a bottle and charged us $8.00 for a bottle of water you might find in a CVS for $1.50. It was a complete rip off when we were expecting just regular ice water, so it left a poor taste in my mouth.
Local kids intentionally blowing up the reviews. Worst sushi ever. Fish was frozen. Music was blasting 1990's Eastern European dance hits. Lots of tight ed hardy t shirts and button down shirts open to the navel. Girls were in worse taste.
The crowd looks like they couldn't get into a Jersey shore club so they came here to "dance" at the bar.
My girlfriend woke up this morning and said "I had nightmares about that place". I said "no, that really happened"
Great for alienating people you don't like.
I have no idea who is reviewing this restaurant but this is one of the worst meals we've ever had.
It started out with a 25 minute wait to be asked if we wanted a drink or order any food. We did have time to take in the tacky Vegas-like interiors and neon lights which should have been an indication that we should have left immediately.
We got our apps and the edamame and gyoza were fine....like any other Japanese place. The short ribs were SO sweet and you could tell they were microwaved.
We received our entrees, chicken and rolls. The chicken was absolutely inedible...it was chewy and grisly so we took only two bites and pushed it away. The roll that we had was also SO sweet so this was also pushed away. No one asked how the food was because had they, we would have told them, instead they just collected the plates after asking us if we wanted the stuff to go and we said no. There was no question about if something was wrong, etc. We ordered more stuff because we were starving and it was late and questioned if what we were ordering was sweet and were told no. Guess what? It was so that wasn't finished either. We ended up eating less than half of what we ordered because it was so disgusting.
Buddy the Elf would love this place since everything tastes like it's drowning in maple syrup so if that's how you like your Japanese food, this place is a home run, but if you like Nobu, for example, you'll wish you never stumbled upon this dump.
Awful all around.
Beautiful restaurant, wonderful ambiance. We were there for a birthday celebration. Food incredible and creative. Delicious offerings. The only problem was that bar area got very noisy with some drunk girls (before 7:30 pm). They finally left and we didn't complain, but sort of spoiled the aesthetic appeal.
Disgusting. Sushi was horrible - most of the fish not fresh or just poor quality , terrible texture. The kitchen did not have the fish we ordered and just sent something cheaper and totally different expecting us to just accept it. The waitstaff apologized but had no understanding of what to do, and again brought something we didn't order. Hamachi appetizer and snapper both totally inedible. No way there is a Japanese chef running anything here. Decor is crazy tacky and out of place in Williamsburg. Ruined our Friday evening when so many great Japanese places we could have gone. Don't believe any good reviews.
