From the moment our party of 4 walked in the door, we were treated very well. Decor is wonderful, food fresh amazing, huge selection too. The wait staff attentive and knowledgeable and very accommodating. We traveled from NJ and Queens to eat here, would definitely come again.
Great food and relaxing environment to enjoy various hot & cold appetizers and specialty rolls!
Not the same. Quality has gone downhill. Menu considerably abbreviated. Won’t be going back anytime soon
Beautiful place, delicious food and very professional staff!I am strongly recommend to every my friends! My favorite restaurant in the island!
We have been steady customers for 10+ years,
Visiting at least 2x a month.
The food is always excellent- it is the service and front manager that is consistently horrendous.
Servers always appear to be in training.
Management is constantly changing rules and is extremely un-accommodating. Maybe it's a
Cultural issue - but restaurants should recognize good patrons.
They bait and switch the specials and wine with too many excuses.
The loud techno music is for after 10:00, after the dinner hours.
Restaurant needs to choose between being a club or a restaurant.
Will do take out instead in the future and skip the frustration.
Food is always very good, just wish they could get the service together.
The food is always delicious - - sushi, tuna, Scottish salmon, beef, salads, special appetizers, special rolls, and more.
Service leaves a lot to be desired. The wait staff does not speak English, so they always mess up the timing of the order. The management is not very friendly - - bring back Calvin!
Wonderful ambiance, excellent menu selections with wide variety of Asian fusion. Outstanding service.
Great food! I'm not a sushi person but i ventured out of my comfort zone and was pleasantly suprised. I got a lobster tempura roll which was delicious and so was the fried rice! Great interior and ambiance - don't be fooled but the outside. Definitely worth the visit!
Great service. Food is delicious. Never a disappointment.
The food was tasty but the portion sizes for many entrees were very small for the price. The decor was nice. It was a little loud for comfortable conversation.
Delicious food, treated my boyfriend here for Valentine's Day and it was one of our first finer dining experiences together. We both agreed that the steak was the best we ever had (Melted in our mouths), along with the dessert (Creme brulee trio was perfect to split)! Only thing was we noticed we would have to flag down our waiter more than once, as they were chit chatting (It wasn't too busy that night). Beautiful ambience though, one of those places that you wouldn't notice from the outside; but once you step inside it's like a whole other world. Food was prepared very quickly!
We eat there regularly, the service is great, the food has always been perfect with great and different tastes
Waiter didn't come for about 20 mins after we arrived and we're settled ... we found hair in our kani salad overall other then it was fine
This place is now in our rotation for it's very well prepared food, comfortable seating and excellent service. As a couple we often order 4 appetizers and a bottle of house wine and leave satisfied for under $100, tip included. Sashimi pizza is a treat!
Everything was delicious. Especially loved the tuna pizza appetizer and the filet mignon Thai basil. The only negative was the martinis. Definitely watered down, and at $12.00 each, that was a surprise. Our server was great.
The food is great the service was excellent the ambiance was amazing I made my reservation on open table it is the best never wait for a table again
Bar service lacking. Not knowledgeable about basic topshelf brands. That applies to waitresses and bartenders. Need training
we come here all the time the food is always great as is the service
Foods always good ! Service was excellent !!!!! Can't wait to go back !
Not worth the trip to Staten Island. Williamsburg location is much better in every aspect, from service to food.
The excellent food (we shared 5 appetizers) and reasonable drinks were a bit marred by the techno soundtrack.
Where do I start,
I used to frequent Fushimi at least a few times a year. Usually a good experience with good food and great ambiance.
This time around it everything was upside down.
First the waitress had to retake our order 3 times, she could not figure out what we wanted and kept coming back for clarification (we ordered from the menu, I am not exaggerating) and in the end they could not make a Tom Colins and my Gin and Tonics proportions were all off.
Second I ordered my steak done medium rare, in exchange I got well done shoe leather. (they did promptly correct that.)
Third (and this was the last proverbial straw), my coffee cup came out with bright pink lip stick stain on it. It was so well defined at first I thought it was part of the finish. That cup did not even see a dish washer between orders.
This was one of the worst experiences I have had eating out.
They tried to compensate with a round of free drinks and they took the desert of the bill, but who touches what left of the food when you find other people makeup on your cup.
I was hoping some one other than the very confused waitress would come out and apologize for repeated blunders, but all I got "so sorry" in broken English over and over again from confused waitress and bus boys. I was not belligerent, my wife even scolded me for not making a fuss over this. I even left the TIP in the value of the free Drinks that I got.
On this note, I am done.
If you value your time and money there are much better places to eat in Staten Island and Brooklyn.
The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and served professionally.
We enjoy dinner at Fushimi. Food is fresh, tasty, and artfully presented. This time my wine tasted a little off like it was opened a few days. Last time, the same wine was delicious. It a little pricy or I would go more often.
Have started to come back here a lot, really enjoying the special rolls and specials. Salmon cake app special is terrific and Sunset Blvd roll. Always fresh and enjoyable.
Fushimi has consistently provided delicious food with great service. A winning combination. Sushi was fresh and they cater to dietary needs.
Went with two other couples and ordered a variety of great appetizers ranging from sushi to spring rolls and a steak special. Everything was great.
We do not typically eat sushi or sashimi but we wanted something different so we tried Fushimi and we are glad we tried it. We ordered Udon with shrimp and scallops to share. Vegetables were crisps tender and scallops were done perfectly. We ordered a tuna 4 ways which was good but too much sashimi for me. And a mummy roll. Mummy roll was my favorite. Since we were determined to have everything we never tried I had a lychee martini and shared a matcha lava cake with matcha ice cream. The Fushimi coffee was delicious served in a brandy glass laced with walnut liquor and topped with whipped cream. I will definitely order again. All presentations were exquisite. Now that we have some experience we will be back to try different sushi and sashimi
My only criticism is the slow service. While everyone was pleasant and helpful, they were so slow. It was a little too long to order, time between courses and waiting for the check was ridiculous. C'mon guys it was so nice to pay through open table app like Gotham bar and grill.
Overall, my husband and I had a great time celebrating our first Valentine's Day as a Married couple. The food, atmosphere, and drinks were on point. Can;t wait to go back and visit again, this time we will be bringing friends.
Fushimi has good food, nice people, and a relaxed feeling. Prices are a little high, but worth it once in a while.
Everytime I dine there the waiter usually brings out a hot towel. And service is good. I love the array of sushi options and the short ribs are awesome!
I wish there was an option for zero stars. This place is awful! We made reservations in October for Thanksgiving. I called the restaurant directly to make sure they would be open and was told absolutely! Even received an email the day before confirming our reservation for the next day. Needless to say I was not happy when we pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant and the sign on the door stated they were closed. I ended up with my family at a diner for Thanksgivings...thank you Fishimi! Then when I called to talk to the restaurant about this disaster, the manager was rude beyond belief! He had no desire to make things right. If I were you I would definitely pick another place, if they treat their customers this way, I can't imagine how the treat their staff!
OpenTable on the other hand was very accommodating! I recommend always booking your reservations with them!
Very enjoyable! Very good food, and good service.
I'd recommend the Blue crab appetizer, 4 way Salmon Sashimi & Lobster with shrimp entree were good. Place is a bit dark.
for me personally this is the best sushi on staten island its a little expensive but everythind is always so fresh and the service has always been great
Excellent food. On the most part, everyone tries to please - - except the manager at the frond desk. He is an extremely unhappy person and quite unaccomodating. Bring back Calvin.
Don't take table next to the bar - so noisy.
The location is great. He people are friendly and attentive. Great music
Used to be my favorite sushi spot years ago. It has slowly declined and is no longer what it used to be. Edamame took 15 mins to come out and it was cold and unsalted. The drinks were mediocre. Sushi was good but the servers were too busy joking around with each other to pay attention to us. My new favorite sushi spot is Ocean Sushi in Annadale - beats this place by a longshot. Food is super fresh and service is fantastic, unlike this place.
