There were mice in the seat cushions that would exit onto the dining room floor from time to time and then retreat
Very nice lunch venue. easy walk from convention center. Very good menu. Gumbo is delicious as was my salmon on salad. Other in group enjoyed their meal as well. Good place for business lunch as conversation.
We had a quiet delicious meal. The service was excellent. Although there were only 8 entrees available we had no trouble finding something that we likes. The Seafood pasta with shrimp, crawfish & moray sauce was superb. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The Gumbo was also delicious. Very low noise level and good ambiance. I especially noticed that the dining chairs were oversized and extremely comfortable. We will return.
Came here for breakfast and the hostess was unaware the bistro took reservations.??

I was a bit disappointed with the Nutella French toast as I was expecting it to have bananas or strawberries. It was soggy and didn’t have much Nutella. I ordered a ham steak for the savory salt compliment however it was more like leftover shavings than steak.
My husband had the egg white omelet which he really enjoyed and said it was quite tasty.
Disappointed in experience. Expressed that we were on short timeline and ordered easy foods (app was the cheeseboard and we each got a salad). Took >45 min to bring cheeseboard and salads were a minute later. We were the only people in the place. Also waiter could not articulate our drink requests to bar. Food was great but will not return!
Upon arriving the hostess informed me that they no longer take open table reservations. After the manager said they would accommodate us anyway, it took 10min to get water and another 10min before anyone came to take our order. My salad entree was delivered to the table 40min after we were seated.
Could not handle a big business crowd for breakfast led to chaos around our reservation for a business breakfast in which our table was given away to 3 parties without a reservation. Was embarrassing and led our meeting being cut short. Service was also poor due to busy crowd.
I ordered the spinach mozzarella egg white omelette that came without spinach. The server was amazingly gracious but it seems like a basic mistake that can be avoided.
Restaurant was clean and part of lobby area of hotel. This restaurant is close to the convention center. The hostess was unfriendly and short with us when we asked questions about menu. The menu was decent and the meal arrived promptly. My overall recommendation is 3 Stars.
Nice ambiance and service was good. Food was less than acceptable. Gumbo had absolutely no seafood in it, and was extremely salty. My friend's french onion soup had no croutons, and was truly tasteless. The spinach salad was excellent. We had a groupon, so value was good. I would like to try this restaurant again, maybe for lunch or an early dinner. We dined late, so this could have influenced the quality of the food.
At first I was very skeptical when I saw the restaurant, as it is directly in the lobby right behind the bar. It honestly feels like the area where you would eat a complimentary hotel breakfast except that it has a podium for a host/hostess. The service was great, however, and the food was excellent, particularly the Croque Madame. I'm not sure that I would be as satisfied if I had paid full price but I would definitely go again with a Groupon.

There was 1 host who was also the only waiter who also had other other tables. The service was not very good. The restaurant is in the Omni hotel which was a surprise. The food was under average for business.
In a word, terrible. We spent the holidays in NOLA and made reservations in advance for Reveillon dinner for Christmas day at the Fulton St. Bistro. It turns out that it is located in the Omni Royal Orleans hotel. This may have been the cause of our trouble since the good reviews we found were probably for the hotel and not the "restaurant." The "Bistro" has the appearance of the type of place where you would typically find the free breakfast waffle and powdered eggs if you stay a Courtyard Marriott. In fact the potatoes that were served were clearly Sysco frozen breakfast potatoes that you find on sub-par buffets. All the food had the characteristics of frozen, processed cafeteria food. This would have been disappointing for Christmas dinner at any price, but the bill for 2 people came to $160.
As bad as the food and ambiance were, the service may have been even worse. If I were a betting man I would place money that the server had been field promoted from bus boy when the regular wait staff failed to show for their holiday shift. Service was slow and unprofessional. After offering water several times, and accepting each time, and later asking, we never received water. He asked if wanted the soup and appetizer courses separate (which we accepted) after which he brought them both together.
FIRST COURSE: Tuna Tartar - I love sushi, especially tuna. This was completely and utterly devoid of any flavor whatsoever.
SECOND COURSE: Shrimp and Butternut Squash Soup - Had the exact flavor and texture of pumpkin pie mix that was slightly diluted with cream.
THIRD COURSE: Grilled Venison Chops - Actually not bad, but tiny.
FOURTH COURSE: Egg Nog Crème Brûlée - They were out of this, but offered choice of Chocolate Pecan Pie or Cheesecake. These were both clearly thawed food service desserts (Sysco?).
Overall a very disappointing experience. Although we were there on Christmas night, with reservations, the restaurant was only lightly populated when we arrive, yet the manager had to wait our table because the 2 wait staff were too busy. Once receiving drinks and finally ordering, it took for every to be served salads and longer for the entree. Service was poor, food below average and prices well above what was expected. Don't bother until the management has changed!
Nothing on the menu on Christmas Day reservations that were for kids. Nothing my daughter likes. Food was kind of plain. The first waitress said she wouldn't make pancakes specifically for my daughter. But the waiter guy that began waiting on us (for some strange reason they changed) said they could accommodate a waffle. That was super nice of them to do that. The chicken and pasta is what we ordered without chicken since my other daughter didn't like the menu, and they still charged us for the whole dinner. I didn't notice until we left.
The gumbo was not a good Roux and very little ingredients such as shrimp
The Caesar salad with fry oysters was poor. The oysters were WAY over cooked to the point of almost burnt.
I enjoyed my meal at the Fulton Bistro! I got the fromage plate and french onion soup. Everything tasted great and my waiter Dewitt was amazing at his job gave wonderful service and recommendations. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We ordered two sandwiches, the Cordon Bleu chicken and Croque Monsieur. Both were quite large, one accompanied by lukewarm fries, the other fresh fruit. The chicken was good, the Croque Monsieur would have been much better without the gratin topping, which had to be removed. It was extra heavy and tasted like paste.So overall it was a good ham sandwich. Service was slow, which we liked because we weren't in a hurry, but would be a negative factor if you're on a schedule. Good beer selection.
Just horrible service...had to ask 3 different people for a water refill. Waitress never checked on us after dropping if our food and running from the table...came back as we were finishing up and dropped off the check without even asking if we wanted dessert...such a shame because the food is actually good...service ruined it.
Nice ambiance in the Omni hotel for dinner or lunch. Slightly overpriced for food/drinks in a competitive culinary market.
The Crab Benedict was phenomenal with the fresh fruit.
Basic American breakfast, but prepared exactly as I asked (which, sadly, is not that common)- eggs over easy and bacon crispy.
Service was outstanding, even bringing me fresh coffee in a to-go cup when I left.
The place was empty, which was surprising compared to the rest of the restaurants around the area. considering it we were one of the only few tables the service was slow.

We really enjoyed our lunch , Crystal was very sweet and did a great job. We started with the onion soup and my wife had gumbo. I had a burger and she had a salad. We will be back.
My husband and I were the only two customers in a busy, downtown hotel restaurant, at noon. Considering that, I would have assumed the three staff members would have been tripping over themselves to get to us, and it was quite the opposite. Food took a long time to come out, but was pretty good. Service was sub par to par at best.
We went to Fulton St Bistro mostly because we couldn't find a reservation go Christmas dinner. We walked in and thought we were in the wrong place. It's in an odd area of the hotel and there's little to no decoration. The waitstaff seemed inexperienced and the manager was frantic. We didn't get our drink orders until our second course. Luckily, the food was great. With few options we had a nice meal for a decent price so I can't really complain.
We went here for brunch on Christmas morning. Very thankful that they were open. There was only one server and given that fact she was quite efficient however was somewhat overworked. This of course can be explained due to the fact that it was a holiday. The food overall was very good. The ambience was nice. Both my husband and I had the crabcake Benedict. Unfortunately the soft cook eggs got delivered to me and not my husband when I requested hard cooked eggs. Some of the little details were overlooked but overall the food was well-prepared. My daughter had chocolate chip pancakes and she did enjoy them as well. They served a very nice tea service as well. I would definitely go back for breakfast or brunch.
The food and service was subpar. We were the only ones in the restaurant yet every course took a long time to come out.
We had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was pretty underwhelming. Turkey and dessert were great, we tried both the pumpkin cheesecake and the pecan chocolate pie. The sides were so so and the stuffing was really bad (unfortunately stuffing is my favorite part of the meal). Service was OK, not good and not bad. There are many restaurants in New Orleans to try before coming here.
I was in town with several co-workers who did not make a reservation for dinner. So, I used Open Table to find a nearby place the Fulton St Bistro came up as close and the menu looked interesting.
We arrived on time and were seated promptly. We had a party of 7. The server took our orders but kept coming back to tell us the items that we had ordered that they were out of, such as steaks and chicken.
Our Reservation was for 8:30PM and we received our food at 9:30pm. Many were not happy with the wait, as we were the only people in the restaurant.
We were offered free bread pudding in exchange for our wait, but no one took them up on that offer.I don't know if they were having an off night, or if the empty restaurant was an indication of prior like problems/
Restaurant was empty no one was staffing the host/hostess station so we left. 7:15PM on Saturday night
My friend and I both had the same lunch. Appetizer was three large green fried tomatoes with marinated shrimp on top. Entree was Pepper Jack Chicken Breast..OMG.. never tasted anything like it. Chicken breast was marinated (and tender) with bacon, pepper jack, onions, pepper and a cream (not thick) sauce. For dessert we had the bread pudding which was also very good. Hugh portions -- brought most home. Would go again.
I was not impressed with the food or service. There was a noisy group of teenage girls who were loud. Then I saw them lying across the chairs. The one adult present with them was equally as loud. It was not a pleasant dining experience.
In New Orleans for conference. It was ok but I should have walked a little further with our party to Tommy's Cuisine which is much better
Chef came to the table and offered us a dessert on him, very nice& much appreciated! Food was excellent.
I've come here several times and never been disappointed! Since bringing on their new chef, the specials have been outstanding! I absolutely love the oysters rockafeller and the shrimp are divine! Looking forward to our next dining experience!!
