Chefs air all of their culinary secrets at Fujiyama Steak House of Japan, where they expertly slice filet mignon, flip pieces of shrimp into the air, and grill mounds of rice at hibachi tables as diners watch. Guests can also marvel as sushi masters stuff the freshest fried shrimp, avocado, cucumber, and crab inside the dynamite roll before deep-frying the entire cylinder to a crispy golden brown. They create this same crunch in other maki specialties by incorporating tempura-battered shrimp and chicken.

Fujiyama Steak House of Japan Ratings and Reviews
This was me and my wife's 17 year anniversary. I made reservations for 8:30 we didn't get sat until 9:15 then it took until 10:30 for our cook to start. We ordered sushi and that came out around 11:00. We ended up spending around $135.00 all together and the manager offered all the other guests at our table a discount except us. The only thing that was good about our experience there was our waitress. Fujiyamas has went so far downhill. This is my wife's favorite restaurant and I just wanted to take her out and celebrate our anniversary and it ended up being absolutely horrible!
I had a reservation, but had to wait an extra 30 mins past the reservation time to be seated. Our cook lost control of some of the food while preparing it, it hit a bowl of sauce and splashed all over my date and myself, ruining both our shirts and jeans (NO sorry was given, allowance for the meal or clothes, very upsetting and disappointed). The noise is so loud in there, you almost have to yell at your party members and staff to be heard. The parking lot had construction equipment sitting in it limiting the parking spaces, causing cars to park in the grass and on sidewalks, very unsafe. After being at the restaurant for over 2 hours for a meal, and ruined clothes with nothing off our bill or offer to pay for their mistake, DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
This is one of the best places to eat in Indianapolis. The food is prepared fresh in front of you as well as cooked in front of you. The chefs cook the food and put on a hilarious show. They do tricks with fire and food. It's a really fun place to eat and the portions are HUGE. I highly recommend this restaurant.
If you can, request Victor as your hibachi chef. He was AMAZING!!! Full of energy, funny, great conversation with our group and did tricks that we have never seen before during the meal. He was amazing with our work group and we fully plan to come back to this location again to enjoy his services another time! I will say that if you have more than 10 people in your group, you will probably be at separate tables because 10 is the max that will fit at a hibachi top.
Also, try their sushi as well. They get really creative with some of their rolls and pairings. It is great!
The only thing I didn't like. The chef when he was cooking he gave everyone 3 pcs of shrimp to each person and they didn't get shrimp and I did. I felt cheated. I ordered shrimp and got less than the one's that never even ordered shrimp. I didn't get any of their fillet?! Just sayin'😊
I've been to several restaurants in Indianapolis for sushi and have found most to be rather mediocre. Not bad, but not something to go out of the way for. This place has definitely improved since their remodeling. And I would put it at one of the better sushi places in town.
Go here just about every year with my family for my birthday. Love the atmosphere and food. Only thing I wish they would change would be removing the fat from the chicken before it is cooked. I hate getting all those fatty pieces, it's nasty, other than that I would say it's good and if you get the right chef can be a fun place to go.
We are long time regulars of this Fujiyama. The remodel is really tasteful and clean. The hostesses could have been a bit more courteous, but they were pretty young, ?? First job?? Food great as always, half of our nine person group enjoyed sushi as dinner. Great variety.
I feel like the portion of the vegetables have gotten smaller & smaller. This time the chef did not cut them up very well & they were large. Also I don't like the fact they use the same spatula for the bean sprouts & the fish, chicken & everything else. I had seafood & really don't want that juice all over my other stuff. The dinner cost us $72.00 & was it worth it-NO
