We always for to Fuji for birthdays with our family of 7. It’s a fun place to celebrate and the food is delish.
Food favor and taste was the best hibachi ever...JOSE knows how to cook!!!
Oh I had so much there for my first time. Our waitress was amazing and friendly and made sure everyone at our table was taken care of. The chef was hilarious and was so much fun to watch. The food was great and it was about an hour long show. Can’t wait to go back again
Score is low due to the attitude of our cook... wow.
We came in the late afternoon and there was hardly anyone there...so it was perfect! We were nervous about bringing our newborn with us, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and made sure our 8 year old had the best time ever! The food was fabulous, the chef was hilarious and fun, and we just enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you!!!
Uh, what happened to the ice cream that used to come with the meal?
We had a delicious dinner, our chef Milo was excellent he had a great attitude and he was very good with all our 12 guests I would definitely recommend him as a chef, in the future I will be looking forward to having him cook out meal once again. We did order some children’s meals and were a little upset that we didn’t get those meals from the kitchen until the very end.
One of our favorite places to go! Food is always delicious and service is amazing.
Everyone was friendly and nice, great service and I would highly recommend if possible to request chef Steve Curry he made our night amazing.
It was a perfect for celebrating a birthday!! Everyrging was great!! So delicous!!
Always a neat place to have a great dinner and a wonderful Hibachi grill experience!
Restaurant needs to perform some deep cleaning as areas around the grill and cooking stations were dirty. Seating area was also cold. Need to come up with some new jokes, same sayings every time.
It seems like this is an "event" destination.... as it was for us: Our daughter's 18th birthday. Not sure why we don't come more often! Always a lot of fun, our chef was terrific, which can make or break the experience for sure. A LOT of food overall, though some might find it expensive. You are paying for the show as much as the food. Always a great time!
Reserved a table for my Fiancé’s birthday dinner for two but stated a 2 year old would be with us and when we walked in the host said “oh you put down two people but there’s a baby too” I also requested a high chair or booster seat but a booster was preferred and the host said “you put down high chair and I sat out a high chair but I guess I will switch it out for a booster.” Then we were sat and the cooking and food was good as usual, server talked about his broken fingers a few times. I requested the Fujiyama birthday song to be sang and this was neglected and never acknowledged and we left merely unsatisfied at a place we normally enjoy. This will be a problem in the future.
Always an entertaining experience with great food and good service. I recommend reservations since they seem to be always busy.
Just plan for a long date night on Sunday nights. Generally they’re on top of things, Sunday’s are apparently their slow night so everything takes longer. Had reservations at 4:30. Didn’t get seated till almost 5, ordered, chef finally showed up cooked & we got out of there at 6:15. Had to race over to the Toyota Center so we’d make our show time.
Fun environment, good food, noisy buy OK if you expect it. Entertaining meal and enthusiastic service make it special. Not recommended for quiet, intimate conversation!
We had a great time ... good service and food. Celebrated my son's 18th bday and they let us bring in cupcakea.
Food delicious as always. Worth the travel.
Food and entertainment were amazing but we ran out of water and had to wait a while to be refilled a couple times but other that that it was fantastic
Esoj was our cheap. Very entertaining!!!!
Food was great. Our waiter was unsociable. He told me drinks are cheaper in the bar if I go get them myself. That comment did not sit well with me
I absolutely love this restaurant. As a person with a seafood allergy, it's often hard to find Asian food based restaurants that will accommodate my allergy, Fujiyama's never fails to do so. The staff has never made me feel bad about coming in with an allergy (which has happened at other restaurants). The food is amazing, the staff is amazing. I will admit it does get a little loud, but that's part of the show of the restaurant. It's our go-to restaurant for date night and special events.
Great time, would be nice to see the chef come up with a new show but good food.
The food and customer service is great. Each time we’ve been the experience have been excellent.
Excellent meal, excellent service.
We love this place. Our last experience was awful. Our waitress was catty and no real personality. She rushed us out as soon as possible and although I mentioned it was my fiancée birthday multiple times nothing was done about it. We were not even offered dessert menu etc. she also split the bills wrong. It was very terrible and I'm the type to never complain about service people. The food was absolutely amazing but the chef did not do a show at all. He made very little conversation as well.
He did an onion volcano and spun eggs. After that the whole table just watched him cook like normal no show etc.
I took my fiancé there for his bday because Fujiyama has great food although expensive. What you also pay for is a show and a longer dinner.
There was no show. Waitress was so terrible idk if I will ever go back. I'm so disappointed because it was a birthday celebration and it was ruined. We were in and out in anhour maybe less. That is the first time ever. Usually the dining experience is a lol longer which is great to visit etc.
The whole thing was bad except the food
It was my birthday. There were 7 birthdays there. My kids reminded the host and the server. Nothing was done but all around us was. They never offered me a refill on drink. Reservation was 7:30pm we didn’t sit down until 7:55 we didn’t get to order until 8:25. I had a younger guy sitting next to my daughters snap chatting and taking pictures when I asked him politely to stop pointing in our direction as his party was to the right of him he finally stopped. I asked to move seats and wasn’t given the opportunity.
The service was great. Really friendly and willing to accommodate with the change of people coming. Great food! Our habachi griller was great. Put on a good show. Had us laughing and having a good time!
Service was ok, Chief was awesome and food was amazing.
Our service was the best ever. Our food was a bit dry this time but I think the restaurant was very full.
Great Valentines Day Dinner. The food was delicious and drinks were great!
As always they do a great job of making our night a memorable one.
It's so different every time you go you just don't know what to expect. Our waitress, for the first time ever, was OUTSTANDING! She was awesome. We never had an empty drink, was attentive and so nice. Our chef, not so much. He was nice, but not much fun like the others and didn't give us a show like normal. Not real enjoyable. Considering the amount of money you pay, it was ok at best. A little disappointing. Food was yummy.
We go to Fujiyama for most family birthdays. Food is always fabulous. We had a big party so we got 2 chefs. Both chefs were great!! Engaging. Fun. Joyful. Cooked everything great. Our server on the other hand was basically non existent. This has been our experience a lot the last few times we have been. Not always the same server, but the same experience. No one got refills on their drinks, so or alcohol. It’s not a short stay when you go to Fiji so no refills is not ok. She also brought me the wrong drink from the bar because she wasn’t really listening when I ordered. I had to go get it fixed myself. I have no idea if this Fujiyama is understaffed or if their waitresses aren’t trained on how to be a waitress, but the consistent lack of waitress service is frustrating. We are paying a lot to eat there, being well taken care of should be part of the gig. Also they add the tip to the bill. It’s really a bummer. Tips should be earned. We tip the chefs separately. We are very generous tippers, but being told what we have to tip when service is poor is frustrating. She didn’t get any extra from us and normally she would. Overall we enjoy Fujiyama. Truly. We just wish they’d figure out how to staff and train the waitresses.
This was an amazing experience, chef was wonderful. Ambiance was amazing. The food was delicious. Thank you for a great experience.
Nice set up. Needs an update with both service and interior excellence as it really creates a luxury dinner experience. Standards need to be reviewed and met. Not only food but the whole package.
Overall great time. Hard to converse with others, as seating is surrounded the grill. But overall great food and service.
We always love the special treat of watching our dinner made right before our eyes. A true vacation for the family cook (Mom)!
I just visited Fujiyama for the first time. I did not know what to expect. They made us feel like we were a couple of revered politicians finishing up a hard day on the campaign tour. I won't throw hyperbole's for the food, but I will say everything was above average. The service-in all facets-was admirable. How do the chef's do it?! You could tell our chef put so much effort into his act and it wasn't pretentious. When I thought it was going to become predictable, he'd set us up with a joke or two.
This was a great place to enjoy a special occasion.
The show was very disappointing. The food was good, but something has changed and it is not as exciting as before. We took someone there that had never been before and it was sad. Will not be back.
