Great food and entertainment. Our clever and skilled chef had our large group (20) laughing and enjoying the delicious dinner. Generous meal portions, too.
It was so-so, cook wasn’t interested and made mistakes, no show at all, cooks good but would prefer he cook vegetables first. Nobody asked about special occasions or if anyone wanted dessert.
Wow, how disappointing in so many ways. Their "schtick" is cooking in front of the customers but that turns out to be just 'meh' and everything about the experience is two dimensional. My wife had hoped to be able to order a steak and just enjoy it... but unfortunately they chop EVERYTHING that they put on the grill and then bathe it all in the same brown, salty, MSG laden sauce. When ordering they asked if we wanted white rice or fried, so opting for the later it was a surprise that it was an additional cost (my fault, likely, if I hadn't noticed on the menu). So they chop a few eggs open in front of you, fry some rice on the cooking surface, add chicken, and that BROWN SAUCE (plain soy sauce, really). Separately cooked some vegetables (broccoli, mushroom, and carrot slivers,..), and in more BROWN SAUCE from that same darn bottle. They did the same to the entrees. My "surf and turf" had a lobster tail that unfortunately was way overcooked turning it dry & tough. Again, it got BROWN SAUCE and tasted like everything else that night. Poor critter really died in vain.! Ribeye; same!
Dinners came with a salad which was also minimalist. Everyone gets the same bland white dressing. Hey, at least it didn't taste like soy sauce! In retrospect we should have just had the breaded coconut shrimp appetizers and nothing else. Those were decent. Also had the tempura vegetables and you get a piece of six or seven different ones and they were mostly ok. Hard to ruin zucchini or onion with tempura. The piece of sweet potato was hard as a rock though.
When you distill this place down it is all about a show and quite disappointing food. The chairs have cracked and worn naugahyde and don't appear to be cleaned regularly (sticky floor; nasty in the corners). We asked others around us, as we were departing, and they agreed that the food was salty and not very satisfactory.
Won't be back ever. Service was lackluster - not savvy / amateurish.
Wife whispered: better food and show at home!
Fun experience every time we go here! Different chefs have different tricks, and we see something new every time. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful as well. Can't wait to go back! Yum yum sauce is the best!
Accommodations were granted this time
The Staff were wonderful! Very accommodating and friendly. We had two wheelchair guests in our party and they were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The food is always great and the excitement of watching the preparation is always entertaining. Thanks!
Always an awesome time. Good value and great food. Will definitely be returning again soon.
It was amazing service as well as great tasting food. Bit pricey but the experience makes up for it.
All was good except the wait time for our cook took an hour to show up after we ordered. Other than that. He was great and server was great. Just a poor wait time.
Fun, delicious and enjoyable. The staff was accommodating and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Have been there several times. It has been my favorite place to enjoy my birthday dinner with family and friends. I have recommended it to my friends and family. Will return in the future.
Excellent preparation by Jeremy ! The food was hot, delicious and a great date night with our grandkids. We come to Fujiyama's several times a year. Making reservations on line is so easy !
Overall I had fun and my daughter enjoyed her birthday dinner. We had a fun group at our table and the chef was funny. I've noticed you've raised your prices and I felt the food quality was down a bit from last time. Lots of onions as fillers in the veggie department, and our steak choices were all pretty tough. It's always loved in there when it's full, so that's too be expected. Our servers were all really sweet.
We loved out chef. My son who is 6 years old was loved it. My son kept saying I bet you can't do anything cooler than that so our chef continued to do cool things to impress him. Thanks for a fun evening.
Entertaining, delicious and a nice price point-you just can’t go wrong with this choice!!
Luv this place!! Food is fantastic, wait staff is on point, we always have a ball. Can't wait to go back!!
My son has been here multiple times and recommended it. He said the chef perform great tricks however it's didn't. Was hoping to see a great shows. Overall it was a good trip for a surprise reunion for my husband and his old Navy Buddy
I loved it! Always a good time!!
This was by far the best dinner restaurant I’ve been to in Silverdale. Our chef was amazing! Great restaurant guys!!
Fire alarm going off 20 min food cook too fast
Always love food not that day
The fire alarm went off for 17 minutes and we decided to tough it out. We were expecting some free drinks, deserts, or a discount and didn’t get any of the above! Disappointing double date with my daughter and her boyfriend.
The waiter was pretty rude when we first arrived. We were 20min early and when we were sat down he made the comment we were wondering if you were ever going to show up. Just because others got there before us does not change the time of my reservation. I was early not late. He was polite the rest of the dinner. He gave a dirty look when we told him we did not want the salad. It would be better if they offered more than one dressing. The food is good, but the portions we got are in way close enough to the amount of money we pay.
under cooked meal. We talked to the waiter and we still get charged the whole amount even though they served us undercooked chicken and shrimp. We go a good amount so we were suprised that it was undercooked and we were dissapointed that we werent offered anything
This is the first time that I was not impressed with the service and the server. We apparently got a brand new server that was pretty much just a cook. they got my meal order wrong which was the Fugiyama deluxe. I got served chicken and when I ask the chef why I did not get any lobster and scallops she got some from the kitchen and served me when we were all finished eating. One of the reasons we go to Fugiyama's is for the entertainment presented by the chef. We were all disappointed by the lack thereof this time.
The cooks make the experience. Ours, William, was fantastic!
We eat here almost every special occasion. We live our cook as he's been there since opening and always does a great job.
The cook was very entertaining and the food was great!
One of our guests was late and subsequently his order got messed up (we preordered for him). The staff did what they could to resolve it and that was appreciated. The food was good and the restaurant was busy-ish. The server was very good to us as well as the chef. I am not blaming the lateness of my guest on the good mixup. That was definitely a communication issue but it didn’t help that he was as late as he was.
There were lots of children. Which is fine but I was hoping to have an adult night out. It would be a great place to take a group of kids
Food & Service was great. Took my friends there as they have never been. They had a great time. Lot's food to take home and have leftovers....
Was a great experience. Love the food and the show
We have the same chef everytime and he is amazing! He's always in a lively, fun mood and can entertain kids and adults alike. The food is always delicious - we come back often for special occassions!
We normally have good experience with Fujiyama but this last time we went our chef had managed to put a damper on what’s supposed to be a fun birthday celebration. She was very careless on how she started our meal by splattering us with oil and water. Though I know she didn’t mean it still upset our party. Mainly because she wasn’t very apologetic about the whole situation she just tried to shove it off. She even said oh it’s just one of those days. She rushed through the whole cooking that the other chef even turned and asked her oh your done already. Though she gave us a bad experience, management and our waitress made up for it. They did the best they could to give us a good outcome.
We went to Fujiyama for Christmas dinner, something that seems to be becoming a tradition. We were seated promptly once the last of our party arrived and had beverage service shortly after that. Both our server, Desiree, and our chef, (sorry, I can't remember his name, but he lived in Yokosuka for 10 years and served in the Navy for 6, if that helps), were wonderful. For having to work on Christmas day, they were friendly, helpful and in the case of the chef, hysterical!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the entertainment.
Fujiyama is great for a special occasion. You get dinner and a show!
The restaurant is too small for the four square grill areas, tho it feels Japanese for that reason. The food was delicious, but they must use MSG because both of us got upset stomachs before leaving.
The chef (Thomas) was very entertaining, and kept everyone laughing & food was amazing. Definetly be requesting him next time.
We were there about 2 hours & heard "the birthday song " 3 different times. It was obvious the staff was NOT into singing it at all.. None the less I will still be.back
This place is my favorite. Thomas and William are by far the reason it is a great atmosphere!!!
Fantastic food and great quality. Worth every penny, just have to ensure you have a reservation, to save time and headaches.
