I had been to this restaurant twice several years ago while stationed locally. My family and I moved away on orders but were in town for two weeks. My husband and I decided to make a reservation there for a date night. We walked in and were seated immediately, which was good. However we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for the chef to start cooking because a family showed up at the last minute and were seated with us, so we had to wait for them to order so the chef could make everybody’s food. My husband ended up with greasy goo on his hands from the table because it wasn’t wiped properly (or at all) from previous use. He had to let a server know and ask if they could please wipe it. Then I ended up with a brown thick substance on my plate that was not there before and had not been used yet. It was not until they brought me a new plate that we realized that it came from the overhead where grease had accumulated and had not been cleaned. We realized this as the server switched out my plate and then wiped the overhead. There were still pools of grease accumulated in other areas overhead that had not been wiped. The food was pretty decent but the experience took away from it. Then, when we were leaving I ended up sliding in what looked like the butter that they use to cook with some egg pieces on the floor that had not been cleaned. I had really high expectations and was sorely disappointed.
We arrived early and were seated quickly, however the host did not turn on our grill, so we had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes for the chef to begin our meal. When the chef prepared the meal he was not given the correct amount of food for our table and a few people had to wait for their food to be done after everyone else was eating. We were given a 10% discount on the meal for the first delay, but nothing for the tardiness of the meal to a select few. The chef was very apologetic that his staff had let him down with the way the meal went, and he did a great job cooking the meal. Overall the experience was good, it was just a shame and a let down that I couldn't eat with the rest of the table and then they all had to wait for me to finish my meal.
We were there to celebrate my sons 16th birthday. We were treated nicely and once our party arrived they told us they were understaffed and asked if we would sit at a table that they didn't cook in front of us at. I politely said no because again it was my sons birthday. They crammed our party of 8 and 4 others together and we were literally elbow to elbow. Once seated it took about 15 min for someone to finally come and take our food order. The food was good when it arrived but $140.00 for a family of four was pretty spending considering how we were crammed and poor service.
We have been plenty of times and this was the first time that the hostess treated us poorly. She caught a attitude with us over having kids in our party and not counting high chairs as a place at the table. The website to book reservations does not have a child option so maybe that should be added. The shows have gotten worse every time we visit chefs are not into the show they show up cook and leave. Will is the only guy that still puts on a maxing show! Food is always good reason why we always go back. But the service is always pretty slacked we are left with no drinks for half the meal and when it’s time to pay the check the server is always rushing you to pack up your food.
Our cook was Daniel....he was fantastic! We had such a great time with him. He was entertaining, funny and a wonderful personality. A keeper for sure.
I celebrated my birthday here. First time coming. I enjoyed this place. The chef wearing the red hat was awesome. I think his name is Daniel. I wish the tables were set up so you feel like you are eating with you're party and not with others you do not necessarily know. This way I could have enjoyed my family and the chef cooking our food. Overall it was great fun and awesome food. We will be returning. Thank you!
We always have a wonderful time when we go. We have noticed though that you stopped putting peas & carrots in the rice, you cut the zucchini different than the sticks & there’s a lot more broccoli than normal. We do do with less broccoli.
We go there for dinner often. I generally love this place, but it was super busy and I feel like our table was over looked. There were 10 people at our table, which made our serving portions smaller. I'm sure we will come cack, but hopefully it wont be as busy.
Food was delicious. Server did not refill soda unless we asked and the tables were so close together. We had to keep moving whenever people needed to pass.
This is a wonderful restaurant with great food and service. The chefs are well trained and put on a good show. Highly recommend for a fun evening.
We always enjoy Fujiyama, but had never been to this location. We had a great time. The food, staff and service were all fantastic!
We made reservations for father’s day. We arrived about 20 minutes early and we were able to be seated right away. The place was packed! Someone came in without a reservation and were told it was a 2 hour wait so reservations seem advisable.
This place has a wonderful lively energy. Our cook was so great and gave extra attention to our 5-year-old grand daughter. She was delighted. The food was excellent. It was simply prepared and not too salty. There was a wonderful variety of vegetables. The soup and salad that came with the dinner were very tasty. I can tell this will be a new family favorite.
I have been here a few times and have always had a great experience. So when I brought my fiancée here for his 1st time, I knew what to expect. Our server was great and polite. Our chef was good. I can't imagine the pressure of entertaining that many over a hot grill. However, he wasn't that engaged in our particular side as he was with the party sitting with us. In a way we felt left out. Not to mention, when everyone served and he was cleaning the grill, I was still waiting for my "land" from the land and sea dinner I ordered. I had to wait for it to be cooked in the kitchen and wasn't ever asked how I like my steak. I'm just glad it was mine that was forgotten and not my fiancée that we were celebrating. Over-all he loved the experience and that's what counts. We will be back but probably not at the peak dinner rush. We made reservations and were seated right on time but it was definitely felt a bit rushed.
It’s not at all what it used to be. It used to be mine and my wife’s favorite date night go-to and now we can barely stomach the food.
We came for my girlfriends birthday and I made sure to let the server know twice. We had two people at the table with birthdays, they only brought the cake and sang to the other person and left my girlfriend with nothing. Plus the server only talked about how he hated Benihana since they extorted money from him and he sued them and he won, now he works at Fujiyama... awkward!
This is the 2nd time we have had this cook and once again did an amazing job. Thank you for a enjoyable night.
We went for my sons birthday, and our service and food were absolutely amazing!!!! We had an amazing experience!!!
Great service. Food sizes were lunch size, which was what we expected. The steak was smaller than expected. And as two wanted well done and one was medium well, it was all cooked together so cook time was over. But it was still good tasting. Salmon was chopped up, do not know if it was the cook or if we asked for well done. As on previous visits they just served it whole. But still it tasted good, just looked weird. Taste though is what we go for. Nice little show, varies depending on cook. Came for 2 celebrating graduates, only wish they could have gotten a free dessert, as we had 13 people. Also, we were confused on why 18% gratuity was added to every bill, as I thought that was not allowed in Washington state, but I usually tip 15 to 20 % it was just a suprise for our couples, and the single guest. We had 4 separate checks. Overall, it was good food, good sizes, and good celebration. We would do this again. Brought 5 people who never been here before. They said they would come back also.
Our chef, William, did a great job!
Now I’m just adding text to get past 50 characters. Done now.
The food was under seasoned and over cooked. Service staff took forever to bring drinks and then only came back at the end to give us our check. Horrible experience.
Great food. Great time.
Celebrating brothers girlfriend graduation with her masters.
We've enjoyed a number of special events there and makes those moments special moments.
About a year ago I would have recommended this place to anybody but in the last year the portion sizes for all the meals went dramatically down, the chefs that you have on staff have little to no personality, and did not cook the food to par. the rice was hard, my steak was under cooked, and the vegetables were also half cooked. We were given little attention by the server for drink refills and the floor was very dirty.
The experience was great. Food was wonderful and the chef was entertaining and mindful of my seafood allergy. The portions were large enough for 2. Only negative was the wait staff were not attentive to our beverages with refills.
Everything was really good. The restaurant was pretty quiet since it was still early in the day.
Wait was a bit before being fed but overall it was okay.
Seven of us came in to celebrate a friends birthday. I was the only one of our group that had been there before. The food was awesome. The chef was wonderful and provided us with some really memorable entertainment. They all raved about what a great time they had and were thrilled with my choice of restaurants. Thank you to the staff of the silverdale Fujiyama steak house for helping us have a fun girls afternoon.
Jeremy was fantastic as usual. My husband and I were impressed that he remembered us even though it had been three years. His food was delicious and he was very friendly. He is one of our favorite cooks. We brought family in from out of town and they loved it.
Fun, great service, and tasted great. The cooksare very talented!
Food potion sizes were MUCH SMALLER than every previous visit. That was VERY disappointing. Chef was wonderful & entertaining. If portion sizes are the same on our next visit we won’t be returning or recommending. The value for the price was very poor
Great show! The food was excellent! Everything and everyone was on spot!
Food was great, a little bit of a wait beyond our reservation time but once they got us seated the service was pretty quick.
Great service and great food. Excellent for special occasions. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience
We arrived early for our reservation. Due to the current guests we waited a half hour for our table. No a big deal but the young host was a bit too boisterous.
Once we were seated we had pleanty of good food and the chef was entertaining to watch.
Great atmosphere and yummy food. I would go there again for special occasions.
It was an amazing night out with the family and a special someone and her two awesome kids! Food was great, service was impeccable! Loved every moment, overall amazing!
We love this restaurant - however, they need to do something about managing reservations. We made a reservation and came on time but were not seated for another 30 minutes due to other parties that were coming in being seated first . This was unfortunate since we had a few handicapped individuals in our party that could not stay very long. When asked when we would be seated, the host explained he was “mad because management made him seat other people first and it’s not his fault- he then explained he wanted to go home and smoke a bowl” good for you ? He said once individuals finish their food we could be seated and pointed to tables who just sat down. Once we spoke with management we were seated ASAP and the dining experience and food were wonderful. I hope they figure out a new way to handle reservations as we probably won’t be reserving larger parties again.
We have visited Fujiyama's several times and almost always have a good experience. Our most recent dinner was fantastic! Our chef Daniel was by far one of the most talented chefs that we have encountered. He was funny, personable and had several new "tricks" that we have not seen before. We really had so much fun, and our food was excellent!
A group was set at our grill that had special dietary needs. No butter, eggs extra. The cook decided to make their food first then ours. The grill was constantly cleaned because of the other group. Our food just didn’t taste very seasoned, fried rice was crunchy. Loved the chef but those people should have been at their own grill. Bad seating and customer service on the hostesses part.
