As usual they have great food and great service. Nice menu variety.
Waited over 45 minutes for a lunch (combo), but it never arrived, so we cancelled the order. Very disappointing and very late getting back to work.
Waiter couldn't answer any of my questions. Food was gross
Fuji Sushi is always a great lunch option. Fabulous bento box specials with plenty of choices for entrees. Very nice modern atmosphere.
Worst experience ever. As usual we waited 45 min for food and when it came my chicken wasn't done. The waitress tried to say it was but I told her I wanted something different. 5 min later th ed lady next to tells her waitress her chicken wasn't done either! This place is ridiculous. Every time we go we wait forever and have a horrible experience. A lot of my coworkers go there and we have all had similar bad experiences.
The food was good; we had the bento boxes and the portions were good -- full before eaten all, not even counting the rice. The service however was extremely slow. Our tempura sauce came at least 10 or more minutes after the lunch was served. We were told when the lunches were left it would be right out but still had to ask for it and at that time the waitress was a bit abrupt but did bring it shortly after.
We went for lunch, and enjoyed our bento boxes. The tempura was especially good. Make a reservation, or you will likely encounter a wait. Free parking is available.
Smallest chirashi bowl
Good sushi, good service, and a small parking lot for customers.
We have eaten at Fuji Sushi many times over the last 20 years. All the food is excellent and the service is too. We have taken our kids to eat there as well as friends and business clients on different occasions.
I always order the bento box for lunch, such a good deal with great choices, and always tastes delicious.
Great tasting food! Soup was so hot, I burned my tongue (my fault). Service was 'spot on'. Everything was prepared exactly as we asked. Pricing was a bit higher than I expected, but still within reason for a business lunch.
I tried the Fuji Bento for the first time. The sashimi and sushi were very fresh and tasty. A generous piece of salmon was accompanied by delicious chicken teriyaki, and crispy tempura. Server could have been more attentive but it was very busy.
The bento box with Katsu Chicken, without any cabbage but without any Katsu sauce tells what level of detail misses . The salmon is over cooked and the sashimi is really mundane. The tempura is flavourless. So no the food is less than good.
We ordered Omakase and instead of being served by the piece, as is custom, we received all the nigri at once in what could only be described as like a party platter from Costco.
Good food with fast service. The portion keeps getting smaller & smaller. I guess that's a good thing??
We love the restaurant. We recommend it to all of our friends.
We celebrate family birthdays here 4-5 times a year. So appreciate the parking lot for customers. Gluten free is the nigiri sushi options, tekka and kappamaki, grilled mackerel, edamame and there are probably more.
Waited almost an hour to receive our food and this isn't the first time. People who came in after us were already eating. I had to stop and ask the waitress otherwise we probably would have waited longer. And there is never an apology for the wait. Only one of the waitresses is friendly. Oh and a guy waiter that is very nice and fast (wish we had him more often).
I come here for lunch a few times each month and usually order the same thing--unagi don and two pieces of uni. Over the years, the unagi has been average to above average, but in the last 4 visits or so, it has been excellent. In my view, unagi should never be tough or rubbery. It should be soft and have a delicate flavor complimented by the sauce. In Seattle, most unagi is average. Here, the new level is top notch. Keep it up! Thanks.
Best bento in the city by miles! Such a nice touch that edamame and tea are included.
Amazing service and took great care of my group even though it was 10 people!
Fresh fish and non-sushi dishes like curry were great too..
Just wish they had soy paper!
OpenTable reservation was great. We were greeted and seated very quickly. The server was expedient and attentive. The food arrived as we sipped hot tea and chatted for a short time. The food quantity and quality was spot on. The server checked back with us several times before bringing the bill. A filling and enjoyable time at Fuji's
Very authentic Japanese food, vibrant, and helpful servers. Great selection of sake!
Can't beat the bento special. You have a choice of 2 entrees - many selections. You also get soup, salad, pickles, rice. Large sushi menu. Previously really liked the miso black cod but at $27 decided to pass on it this time and stay with $14 Bento. Like to go here before Sounders games. Fast service.
the waitress wrongfully gave us the incorrect order, then when ours arrived made us pay full price for that one too
We were heading for another Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood, but it was booked until 9:30 pm so we gave Fuji Sushi a try. Good authentic Japanese food, a bit noisy for us. Good sake menu! Wait staff was very welcoming, polite and helpful. We were seated right away, but had reserved through Open Table as we walked there. We will go again!
This visit was much better but I didn't order sushi like usual. The food came alot faster so I'm thinking with the sushi if its lunchtime you can expect to wait a long time.
I love Fuji Sushi and frequent them, but this will be the last time I go. Their service time (order to table) has increased so substantially that you literally need 2 hours to have a decent lunch there. The first time it happened I thought "ok", but now on the 5th time, I am over it. I have sent and email to their owner stating the same and I know about 5 other people in just my office who have decided to dump fuji sushi. Such a shame too. I loved them so, I just hate waiting upwards of 45 minutes from the time that I order to get my food...
Overall, I'm pleased with Fuji sushi. The only let down is they probably need 1 more person to handle checks and bus tables during Lunch hour rush. They frequently have lines out the door so Reservation is recommended. I told them to try and get us out of the restaurant by 12:45PM as we still had to bus back to my work about 8 blocks north, and they were close with getting us done by 1PM.
I really like the food there and the ambiance however this is the 3rd time I went on lunch break with co workers and we end up having to take our food to go because it took too long. We were there 45 minutes before we recieved our food but witnessed others getting their food who came after us. Then when we finally were served everyone at the table didn't have their food. We had to ask for containers so we could get back to work on time. Previously, same situation only we arrived right when they opened. Waited again about 45 minutes and nothing. Then when we finally got our food some of it was missing. I asked the waitress about the crab sushi a few of us ordered and she said they ran out of crab! I said but we got here right when you opened! The manager gave us 20% off our bill but honestly it should have been free.
We have been here many times but this was a disappointment .
The chirashi bowls were meager , fresh but just ok.
The service was slow slow
The sky and tea containers leaked on all of us - very disappointing 😪
This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Seattle. It's authentic and worth the money
OG Japanese Go To Place for the local Japanese American community. Excellent tempura! Full menu - always tasty - and great value. Love it that my parents are a cheap date here & they have a free parking 2nd lot up the hill. Great access and enjoyable time.
This was my first visit to Fuji Sushi on a recommendation from one of the six people I invited to the lunch meeting. We arrived at 11:35am. About a 1/3 of the tables were occupied. We placed our orders and got tea. Thankfully, we all had a lot to talk about because some of us were not going to see our food till 1:30pm. ALMOST 2 HOURS AFTER PLACING OUR ORDERS!
After the first hour, I had to get out of my seat to get an explanation from the hostess. She said there was a large amount of bento boxes ordered and there was no way to anticipate or prepare for such a large amount of bento boxes ordered. Three sushi chefs at the bar could not handle the lunchtime rush?
The kitchen hit their marks. Anyone who didn't order sushi got their food at a respectable time. To salt the wound one of the people in my party had his very late sushi order go to another table.
So they quickly made him another couple rolls and gave him a 20% discount. But the rest of us who also had to wait for our food for the entire lunch hour got no such discounts.
If this had been my first visit I might well not go back. Although the food is wonderful, the service was abominable. We were a party of 7, there for a special occasion, and had reserved ahead. The first three were served a full 30 minutes ahead of the second three, and the final serving came after the rest of us were done. The excuse was "a new kitchen and sushi chefs." Our experience was anxiety producing and unpleasant. I hope this is not typical.
What is the purple stuff?
Fuji Sushi provides a superior dining experience. From the moment we were greeted, to the presentation of the food, until our leaving with satisfied smiles, we could not have been more pleased. Any restaurant can provide food; Fuji Sushi provides an experience for all senses.
courteous attendants, friendly atmosphere. easy parking, There are private rooms, consistent with typical Japanese restaurant set-up.
Excellent lunch menu-good value, good atmosphere, great food!
