Fuji Mountain Japanese Restaurant
It was great but there were a lot of little bugs and flies flying around that went very distracting and annoying
We wnet to celebrate our graduates and we really enjoyed our food. The service was great. We enjoyed everything about our visit. Any time my mother is happy with her food and service, it was a great meal.
We continue to explore the menu. I had the seafood salad appetizer and the fried oysters for my entree (they are listed under hot appetizer). My husband had the house salad, and the bulgiula (beef, mushrooms, peppers) entree, and he loved it. Always a good meal here and we have tried a fair number of the dishes at this point. Never have we been disappointed.
Omakase for 1 was outstanding and had amazing value! Neighborhood gem you should check out!
Love this place! Never a wait no matter the time and day and food is always amazing!
There were 4 of us and we ordered dumplings and 4 rolls. they were delicious and fresh....it's always a delight going to Fuji Mountain. the service was also great...thanks so much
the best and freshest sushi and sashimi in the city of philadelphia
Good food and service!
The sushi was just okay. We ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and were told they were "all out". We ordered a flavor of mochi after dinner and told they were "all out." This was an early reservation at 6:30 on a not busy workweek evening. Was surprised that they didn't have these items available. Have had much better sushi.
Was the worst service experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Took 25 mins for someone to come take drink orders. We had a party of 7 who were drinking. Never came to check if needed more rounds of drinks. Had to wave down our waitress whenever we needed anything. One person in our party received their food after everyone was done eating. Gratuity was already included in bill and could have had a better tip if were a little more attentive. Food was ok. Place is clean but at 5:30 on a Sunday with not a full restaurant no excuse for the poor, slow service. I saw other tables waving for a server also.
All was good and enjoyable
Took my little brother out for his first sushi. He loved it and so did we!
I loved it. It was my first time trying Japanese. The food was good. I tried strawberry sake I liked that as well I’ll definitely be going back. The waiter was very funny and the food came out perfect.
Great noodles and sushi! We were seated upstairs close to an obnoxiously loud group but we do plan to return.
Great experience! They had fresh O-Toro!
Everything about this place was perfect!! Our new favorite sushi place!
Really great place for sushi, tons of options. Love the fact that the nigiri orders come with 2 pieces instead of just 1 like many other sushi spots in Philly. The o-toro was amazing, highly recommend it.
The food was amazing, I can’t wait to go back!
A friend and I went for lunch during Restaurant Week. They must have not anticipated the crowd because while the food was outstanding, the service was horrible. My friend and I were seated immediately because we had a reservation and then we watched as every table was waited on except ours. It took a server about 15 minutes to finally take our order (which was the Restaurant Week 4-course lunch). They forgot to bring our beverages until we asked a 2nd time.
The soup and 2nd course (apps) came out in a timely fashion but forget about the entrees. My salmon terriyaki arrived and then we waited and waited and waited for my friend's sushi to be delivered. After about 20 minutes of waiting (I was almost finished because I wanted to eat my food while it was still hot), we finally told a passing waiter (ours never came back) that she would have to have it packaged to go because she had to get back for a meeting.
We had allotted one hour for lunch. Not enough time - though everyone else didn't have the same problem we did. They packed up her sushi and her ice cream and off she went. I had to stay and wait to pay the bill - another 15 minutes because after they took my credit card, they also never came back and I had to find a manager to get my credit card back. We got there at 12:00 and I didn't get back to my office (2 blocks away) until almost 2:00. Not acceptable.
I'd definitely go back because the food was SO good, but not during Restaurant Week lunch.
Four of us dined during restaurant week. It seems that our server forgot we were sat, because we had to call someone over to order after about 10 minutes. Two of us were also given the wrong appetizer order.
I still continue to frequent Fuji, because this was the only time I didn’t have perfect service. The food is always top notch!
There were so many flies where we sat. I was very annoying and concerning.
One of the better Japanese food experiences I’ve had. Sushi was fresh and cut generously, appetizers were on point, and the Korean Bibimbap was the best I’ve ever had. Service was good and prices reasonable. Recommended!
Restaurant was closed, but surprisingly checked us in a few days later in the middle of the night. They shouldn’t accept reservations when they’re closed.
Great service, great food. Had a really nice time with my boyfriend.
Had a great dinner with a colleague. Fantastic food, good environment for both casual and business conversations.
Very disappointed out first time here to have sushi and celebrate my birthday. The food was mediocre; we got edamame and shrimp popcorn as an appetizer, and each an entree. I ate one bite of my sushi and couldn’t finish it. Our bill came to $200 for 5 people, and it was nothing to write home about. In making the reservation, I was asked if it was a special occasion. I don’t know why they asked, because they did absolutely nothing to acknowledge it. Sadly, a complete waste of what was supposed to be a special occasion. The service and food was prompt, and the place was pretty empty for a Saturday night. I’ve had much better sushi in the suburbs.
I love this restaurant, it is always accommodating, the food is consistent, and they have always accommodated any requests that I may have had.
Food was excellent & service was quick & attentive. We came early evening (prior to a show) and were in an out in great time. Sushi/sashimi was fresh and tasty and a good value. I would definitely return again.
Love this place. Great sashimi, nice space. Just down the street from a lot of venues, making it a great pre-show dinner stop.
We tried this restaurant on restaurant week. It was really good
Very subpar sushi. The salad and ice cream were really the only items I enjoyed on this menu. I would not return to eat here. There’s much better sushi elsewhere in the city and for the same or even less price.
The service was good but I did have to ask for my change. I tip as its customary for the service industry but don’t assume that all of the change is yours.
The food came out in a timely fashion, hot, and delicious. I went for Restaurant Week but the prices on the regular menu are good.
Fuji Mountain has excellent Sushi and Sashimi. Fish is fresh any they don’t slice the fish too thin which is a big fault at some other restaurants.
The restaurant is clean and well decorated.
The food was excellent and portions were large.
Our server, Gina was lovely.
Prices were fair for the quality.
Fuji Mountain was a great place to try on a rainy night. Good service!
Food sucks now. I'd give zero for quality. Tastes like stale fish.
Delicious and helpful service
Food was pretty standard with good prices. Nothing stood out as unique or amazing to other good, mid-level, sushi places in the city. Surprisingly, the best thing I ate was the mushroom soup appetizer. Service was great. Ambiance was causal and comfortable.
Excellent fresh sushi and sashimi. Great meal, interesting sushi combinations, appropriate sized portions. The chef (s) had the fish and the rice at the appropriate temperatures to maximize flavors.
Service was great. Very helpful, friendly and well paced for the meal.
