Fuel in Lewiston, Maine, is part of the historic Lyceum Hall in the heart of downtown. The bistro-style restaurant serves French dishes with a modern twist. The food at Fuel provides a taste of the French countryside. Try dishes like French onion soup, braised pork shank and NY Strip steak frites. Parking details
Parking is typically plentiful on Lisbon Street, right in front of the restaurant. If not, a parking garage is very, very close. Go to the end of Lisbon Street, take a right on Main, and a right on Park. The Park Street garage is on your left. Come out of the garage and walk straight through the Courthouse plaza (a small park), and you will find Fuel straight ahead. The garage is free after 6:00pm

Enjoyed a fabulous Valentine's Day dinner. Fuel is a constant satisfaction! You can't go wrong. We had the Lamb and Salmon and it was to die for!!!!

Second time eating here---food as good as it was the first time. I cook a lot myself, so my standards are high, and Fuel meets or exceeds them. Attention to details, such as the bread they serve and the waitstaff's wine knowledge add to the experience. Highly recommended!

I have been a long time patron of Fuel, and the experience there was nothing short of perfect! Our server, Autumn, is always cheerful and attentive to what is going on at the table and to making sure everything is delivered timely. Every part of the meal was cooked and presented perfectly! Steak was cooked to order, fondue was hot, bacon dusted fries were amazing, and dessert rounded out the evening with perfection.

I came on a Tuesday night for dinner with my son and a friend of his. We started with the escargot to start and it was excellent. The presentation was interesting in that the escargot were served over a bone with marrow and a velvety smooth demi-glace. It was amazing and the portion was very generous. The three of shared it and were quite happy with what we had. I had a caeser salad with anchovies that was very good, well dressed but not overly dressed.

My son and his friend had steaks that were cooked perfectly to the temperatures that they requested. I had the salmon that was grilled and cooked to a perfect medium and very moist.
I will definitely be back soon.

Our server, Paul, was a great guy. Very knowledgable and very well-versed in the in's and out's of the menu. Could describe each dish as if he were the one who designed them.

I highly recommend anyone looking for melt in your mouth steak to order the au poivre. It's what I get every time because in four years, it's remains as delicious as the firs time I tried it! The fondue is addictive, I only wish they served it with the bread that they serve as a free appetizer, it would add some nice depth to the flavor experience-so maybe just save a piece to try for yourself! My husband always tries something new there when we go, and he is never disappointed. I had a bite of his scallops the other night-wow. I don't even like scallops typically but these were a pleasant surprise, especially with the sweet potato apple sauce paired with them. So yeah, I like the place. Worth the slight splurge!!!

The food was very good, but the noise level was so high that it was hard to carry on a conversation with our friends. I would have to qualify a recommendation with that information.

Food is delicious every time! The appetizers are amazing. The menu is always changing but the favorites stay! Drinks are fantastic! Lastly, always have dessert!

Caesar salad, roasted beet and apple hors d'oeuvres, braised pork shank, and steak au poivre all seriously delicious. Steak cooked exactly to order. Pork a bit stringy. Large portions. We were too full for dessert. Deep wine list; good beer on draft. Saturday night in December perhaps not best time to go. Crowded and NOISY. Tuesday/Wednesday sounds good both for fewer customers and bargain Happiness menu. We will recommend Fuel to friends and expect to return ourselves.

Great service with lots of personality from Ms. Heather . Steak, pork shank, foie gras spectial on Friday night was spectacular, pork belly was out of this world house wine by the carafe was more than serviceable. Love that there is plenty of space in the room giving you a sense of some privacy amongst others. Prices were very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food presented. Go hungry and enjoy a couple of shared appetizers along with expertly prepared mains. We never do dessert but I'm guessing by the rest of the food it is pretty phenomenal.

We were quite satisfied with our dining experience. Everything was delicious. One in our party ordered scallops and there was not enough accompanying them. The scallops were good but there was not enough to eat. Everyone else liked their meal and had plenty to eat.

Atmosphere and service were nice. I had the filet and though it was good, I wouldn't say it was GREAT. Dessert was delicious.
