Loved the food, ambience and music but I’d recommend the waiters and waitresses be more attentive to the guests.
Love this place. But I am Vegan and my daughter too. Therefore I would love Vegan options. That would be amazing. And Alfonso our guy, was amazing as always.
THIS RESTAURANT HAS A BEAUTIFUL VIEW - THE STAFF WAS GREAT AND THE FOOD
WAS DELICIOUS - ESPECIALLY THE LOBSTER TAIL WITH BRUSSEL SPROUTS
Lovely view, good food, wonderful drinks and attentive service.
This restaurant is within the Doubletree hotel and what a beautiful view. Located on the more quiet side of Long Beach. Food was excellent and service was excellent.
It was our wedding rehearsal dinner. We had a group of 10. Everything was wonderful
The brunch is definitely worth it! The food great and ambiance was very chill! Would def recommend and looking forward to going back
Excellent service! Our waiter forgot to get his name, the best!!! First time there and will not be our last
Best brunch places in California
I had a great experience, from beginning to end. The Food was awesome, taco bar, dessert bar and all cold appetizers bar! endless drinks, $10 bottomless mimosas!
Anniversary brunch. Was awesome deal with unlimited mimosas
Me and my girlfriend always enjoy a Sunday brunch date, I have to say this time the service was great!!!
Some issues with our open table reservation
This restaurant within the Maya Hotel has a fabulous view...very relaxing and lovely. The martinis and margueritas we had were excellent. Our waiter was very grumpy and the service was extremely slow. The waiter would not answer my questions about the level of spiciness of the food. The prices were quite high and the portions were quite small. I would not mind the higher than normal prices if the portions were larger. My bbq chicken salad was very average and small and I was hungry when I got home. I loved the view and the ambience but food value/price and service needs improvement.
We have come to the Sunday Brunch on several occasions and have usually found it to be a great dining experience, however on this Easter Sunday it was quite the opposite. The selection and quality of the food was mediocre at best and the price was exorbitant. For you to charge 80.00 for this level of brunch and then another 10.00 for bottomless champagne is just being greedy. The regular brunch menu and format is far superior. We have dined at some of the finest brunches in California and the menu you provided was not worthy of 80.00. It would not of been so bad had you doubled the usual price (why?)!and provided Steak, lobster oysters and other options befitting an 80.00 price tag but we’ve had better brunches at el Torito for half the price. The changes you made for this occasion were just a bad idea I’m afraid you have lost a loyal customer.
The view is spectacular , we were seated at the patio overlooking the City of Long Beach and Queen Mary , it went downhill from there , the service was slow , Our waiter put our appetizer ,soup and entrée all the same time, hold and behold , everything came at the same time, Our entrée got cold because we are eating the appetizer and soup first while the entrée is getting cold . The food is okay, big disappointment , My seafood crepe has no flavor , the soup is salty , the short ribs is adequate. The only thing that is good are the drinks and the chicharon with fries . The manager came over to our table and ask if everything okay and I said the appetizer ,soup and entrée came at the same time, he did apologize, he said he will talk to the server . The waiter did not apologize . This is a big disappointment and we are not going back . The view will not compensate for the bad service and adequate food
We thoroughly enjoyed the Brunch and spending the afternoon in the comfortable setting. Our waiter Thomas was attentive, courteous and accommodating, as well as the other staff that visited our table and responded to our requests. Lovely setting on the bay with pleasant music, decor and ambiance. We are looking forward to our next special occasion to celebrate at Fuego.
Reservation with Open Table got us front row prompt seating for brunch. Live Latin jazz combo, views of the harbor and the Queen Mary, and great service make this a relaxing Sunday Brunch.
Considering my group consisted of servers and bartenders, I was really disappointed to hear they felt the server was rude to them. It takes a lot for our group to feel dissatisfied with service. We’re in the industry and know the routine, we’re always generous and understanding. I personally enjoyed the ambience, food, drinks, and more importantly the company who attended. That was my focus , I wish my group would have felt a little more comfortable, but the remainder of the night made up. One server and one experience will not deter me from coming again, I just hope the next will be more pleasant.
Had a great time especially with the deal online
Great food and service was excellent
The french toast wasn't anything to brag about. Nicely presented, but was not really flavorful. I have been to the restaurant before and ordered a burger, and that was really good. The view is incredible and the jazz band on Sunday was a nice touch. It was the service though that was outstanding. My server was warm and attentive. She responded to each request that was made and was always smiling. She made the visit really nice.
Celebrated my sister's birthday here with the family and had a great time! Service was exceptional on the day we went (3/4/2018). The unlimited mimosas kept coming and even when the taco bar ran out of salmon, our server had the kitchen prepare a few salmon tacos just for us!
The staff was very friendly, the food was great, the seating was very comfortable, the view was incredible, and the drinks were tasty. The downside was not enough staff, so there will be extended stints between our receiving service. A couple of times we had to go get the attendant so we could make a request. This is not an ideal situation when attempting to dine there during lunch as there is not much time to spare .
The food and service were GREAT but the view is what made it AMAZING
It was very busy! The service to get our order entered was VERY slow.
I was charged a full price for the third guest and was expecting to get the coupon price(coupon was brunch for two).
At the end we got a very NICE desert plate since the desert bar was already empty.
Nice view! We strolled to the Queen Mary and back.
You can't help but feel like you are on vacation. The live music makes the meal experience extraordinary
I've been to Fuego on many different ocassions and have spent hundreds of dollars there. So, for my 50th birthday dinner, I knew that I wanted to go there to celebrate with 6 other people, including a visitor from Haiti. I made reservations for after church at 2:15.
Open Table nor Fuego Websites show that you only serve drinks and bar food between 2 and 5. After brunch is no longer served, most restaurants allow patrons to order from a regular menu, but you don't. My GPS said that you were closed at 2. So, I had to call ON OUR WAY THERE from Los Angeles to learn about the bar food between services. Do you know how hard it is to find a decent restaurant for 7 people on a Sunday immediately after 2:00 AND with a couple of kids who were hungry?
So, it was all bad.
Thank you for asking,
It was awf
Comfortable patio dining with great views of the Long Beach waterfront/ Queen Mary area. Really enjoyed the Sunday Brunch, the entree selections were good and liked the buffet options. Great live band provided the music.
Our night was filled with terrible service. I made a reservation weeks ahead for 9, when we arrived they were unprepared. It took them 20 minutes to seat us and then finally we were sat at a table a foot from the entrance and a foot away from where the servers ran up and down steps putting dirty dishes away. Every single time stomping up and down the stairs, I could hardly hear the person next to me. It took about 35 minutes for a server to greet us and take our drink order. We requested another table at this time too, which our server walked away and we did not see him again for another 35 minutes until he dropped off our drinks and left. At this time we had been there for about an hour and a half, received minimal service and and not once were asked if we would like to get our food order in. At this point we simply asked for the bill on the drinks that were ordered and left. Overall, you will receive terrible service if it’s a group.
Great food! Great margaritas and I’m pretty picky! Service a bit slow but pleasant! Would definitely come again!
Located out by the Queen Mary on Terminal Island, this out-of-the-way restaurant features quiet dining with a superb view of the downtown Long Beach skyline across the Los Angeles River. The ambiance is especially wonderful at dusk when the city lights come on. In addition to outdoor patio dining, huge sliding doors open the entire restaurant to the outdoors reminiscent of restaurants in the tropics.
We had slot of fun on Valentine’s Day, the only thing the service was really slow! Other than that loved it
food is amazing
This is a great spot to go and get dinner with that special someone. I was very happy with everything overall. The service is great, the food and drinks are delicious, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. The entire staff is very friendly and polite too.
They switched out the normal menu for a special menu for the holiday. No one informed us it was going to be 100 per person for dinner. When they called to confirm the reservation they did not mention the holiday set price.
This place is pretty awesome. The food is delicious and the service is great. The view is amazing.
A group of us went for Sunday brunch. The view is beautiful...the salsa style band is fun...very attentive and accommodating staff. Loved the food...especially the taco bar! It’s inside the Hotel Maya, which looks like a cool hotel. My absolutely only complaint is that the brunch is a bit pricey, otherwise, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.
