Fuego - Maya Hotel
With a vibrantly colored indoor-outdoor dining room overlooking panoramic views of downtown Long Beach and the historic Queen Mary, Fuego is an amazing restaurant in Long Beach CA that specializes in mariscos (fresh seafood). Also featured is a generous array of antojitos (appetizers), as well as tacos, tortas and entrées.
The bar serves premium tequilas-the largest selection in the region-that may be sampled at the bar along with handcrafted margaritas and other signature cocktails. Fuego also hosts Maya Fiesta Domingo-a festive outdoor brunch featuring Baja-style seafood and savory barbecue accompanied by live Latin Jazz.
The steak I had was delicious! I am drooling just thinking about it! The French toast and the unlimited taco bar made it one of the best brunches I’ve had!
Have eaten at Fuego several times now and food and drinks are consistent. Highly recommend it.
We had been here once before at their Sunday Brunch. The view is spectacular with the surrounding floor to ceiling windows. Our waitress was fantastic, she offered to change up stuff and offered us suggestions and even got us desserts off the Special Valentines Menu when we were just eating off the lunch menu. The manager kept making sure we were warm enough as it was a rainy day and most of the people were eating on the covered patio. Were coming back soon to take my mom and dad to celebrate birthdays. We wanted to make sure they were wheelchair accessible (they have a conveniently located elevator) Definitely going to be a favorite to eat at and might even do a Stay-Cation at the hotel.
Thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks
Marvelous dinner menu. Saved by great recommendations from our server. The food was amazing. The views are spectacular after dark.
Waiter was not kind. just not comfortable. But we enjoyed food. View is so nice!
It was a truly an amazing and delicious dining experience. The view of the Queen Mary to downtown is impressive. The food is incredible. I will be back
Great location and view. Service was good but confusing set up. You get to order an entree and we were pushed to order pretty quickly. Then there’s all these stations (tacos/ceviche/fruit/cheese/dessert) that are pretty useless by the time you’ve eaten your entree which came in seconds after we ordered.
I must admit that I’ve been to enough brunches that I get you usually graze those stations and then you end up with a pretty good meal. The insistence of ordering first and then grazing is just dumb. Top it off with the removal of bottomless mimosa’s (we were informed this just started) and we had a $250 brunch for 3. $44 for Prosecco x2 is included in that total. Just really not worth $45 per head for the food.
Pleasant staff! Very tentative, good food. I asked to stay outside, and they led me a quiet corner. Lovely view...
We had so much fun yesterday at brunch! We have already made our reservations for next month!
Once again great location mediocre food. Staff was attentive however we asked for the Avocado Toast without chilies. We were told it’s already mixed in, not to worry, not hot & spicy. The amount of chilies dominated the dish. Large pieces throughout making it very hot and spicy.
A bit pricier than anticipated, but portions were good, and food was Delicious!
My boyfriend the least they could’ve done is set it up in a way that I didn’t have to eat my hair while I was trying to enjoy my dinner since the wind was blowing quite fiercely. Luckily our waitress was considerate enough to bring me a blanket but we ended up spending about $600.00 to freeze all throughout the night. Lesson learned... not relying on them anymore for New Years Eve because it was poorly organized.
It was quiet with a beautiful view, but the food was odd? My fiance had an amazing crepe, but I couldn't tell you what was in it. I had the scallops on a bed of ramen. My food was a bit cold, and the ramen was very bland. The service was okay, they were not as attentive to us as they were to other customers, but it wasn't too bad.
They were understaffed on Christmas Eve. The manager made it up to us with free drinks!
What a great way to spend xmas
Fantastic service. Nice waterfront outdoor seating.
We're staying at the hotel and it's great to be able to enjoy a very good meal, feel relaxed, and enjoy the view!
The turkey was dry and did not represent the planned meal. My boyfriend found something at the bottom of his coffee cup and when the issue was presented to the server, he just took the cup away and brought a new one without so much as an apology. The price was way too high for the food received. My sister in law had the prime rib. She asked fir medium rare and received well done, almost burnt meat. The servers were polite and pleasant.
We've had lunch and brunch at Fuego a number of times. Thanksgiving was the first holiday.
The service, food, and view were wonderful. The waiter was particularly attentive. The were four prix fixe
choices which made our selection very nice.
Fuego is a lovely place for special occasions. The view is spectacular. I do recommend it to friends.
It was perfect to celebrate a romantic birthday! View was great, food was tasty, and we sat near the fire and kept warm. We loved it and will return!
This was my second time dining at the Maya for Sunday brunch. My first experience was incredible and I did not think it could get any better. I was mistaken. My second visit was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I made reservations to celebrate my sister's birthday and our waiter Jerry was phenomenal. He was attentive, courteous, extraordinarily kind and funny. The food, service and atmosphere made for a very pleasant day.
wonderful vibe, great service and perfect portions.
Went for Sunday brunch. Stylish boutique hotel and restaurant. Amazing waterfront patio dining. The food was excellent and the service was accommodating and friendly. Worth every penny in my opinion of you enjoy Latin food.
I was disappointed that they do not offer bottomless mimosa anymore. That's the main reason we choose this place for brunch with friends.
The brunch at the Maya Hotel was recommended by my friend. My significant other and I made it to brunch on Sunday November 11, 2018. The atmosphere and food exceeded my expectations. The music was relaxing and the view was spectacular. The price was inexpensive and the amount of food you receive for the price is incredible. The dessert table, taco bar, other table with a huge selection of salad, fruit, meat and cheese was delicious. In addition to the fabulous buffet you actually get to enjoy full entree. I will definitely return to the Maya Hotel for this FABULOUS Sunday Brunch.
has a marvelous time with our group of 14. we will all be going back again and again. great views outside.
Attentive wait staff served creative cuisine on the inviting waterfront patio!
The food was just okay. For the high prices I expected more.
No me gustó el servicio..ni la comida ni las bebidas mi esposa ordenó una margarita ..Y comentó q así no eran y le dieron una super fuerte de licor la mesera .
Both food and service was poor for my Friday lunch with a friend. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for about four years now and the food quality has declined markedly. Mahi tacos were meager in their portion of fish, which tasted like it had been frozen for some time. Choriqueso was delivered with no serving spoon and the included fried chips numbered five (definitely not enough to consume the $15 pool of cheese). A request for more fried chips twice went unresponded to, and eventually service brought regular tortilla chips. Water and iced tea remained empty during the large majority of the meal, possibly due in part to the descent of 60 conference attendees who were seated about 15 mins after my party was. Numerous requests for refills were ignored. To pay the bill, I had to get up and track down our server amidst the chaotic dining scene.
Perfect place for dinner
This place was well worth our one and half hour drive for Sunday brunch. The price is up there, but well worth it for the view, live music, excellent food, presentation, etc. We are making plans to return in January.
Made a reservation for a nice casual date and was staying at the hotel. Turned out to be a good decision the food was excellent. Along with the service and total atmoshpere.
Food was very good, but cocktails not very good.
We were in town with family from Nashville -
They absolutely loved dining here.
The food was great, the views were outstanding and the staff was superb!
Had a friend brunch on Sunday. Great view, great vibe, friendly staff, but the food wasn’t that great. I’ve been during time and had a great experience. The brunch wasn’t as good. But overall experience was nice.
We stayed at the hotel. And invited friends over to the restaurant. There were six of us in total and everybody had a wonderful dinner. The food is delicious! And the views can't be beat! We will definitely be back again! To the Maya Hotel and Fuego Restaurant!
We were there for a birthday celebration of which 3 of 4 people visited for the first time. There were too many flies, so much so the citronella candles had to come out. The outdoor patio could use power washing because there was a piercing smell, and just need an overall cleaning. I have frequented this place a lot in the past, and chose this local place for friends to enjoy the view. And that was about it...
Beautiful setting and view, great food and service!
