FT33 Ratings and Reviews
I hate to give this place 2 stars as the food was very good. However, the service (or lack thereof) left quite a mark on our experience. We patronized FT33 on Valentine's day and let me say I was quite pleased to find that there we still open tables indicating the restaurant was not as busy as I was expecting. So ideally we should have received prompt service. Hubby and I patiently sat and waited to be acknowledged for close to 20 mins. Oh...wait we got water in those 20 mins. I suspected that the female waitress that was waiting the table next to us was who were waiting for but she seemed uninterested in serving us...for whatever reason I don't care to know. I was able to flag someone down to finally at least talk to us and take our drink order and then eventually "go ahead" and take our food order. I have never felt so excluded in my life. Thank you Garrett for the excellent service you provided in spite of your recalcitrant co worker. As far as food, the shaved kohlrabi and the cavatelli dishes were outstanding. Unfortunately I will not be visiting FT33 again.
Amazing menu and the service is on point. This place is well managed. If my waiter was busy someone else brought the next course and everyone knew the menu. Very intricate plating- was fun to watch and eat. I highly recommend for a well run and fun evening out! They have a sign up.....”you can’t do epic stuff with basic people”.....they have a great staff.....
Amazing! Recommended to me by friends, this was such a fantastic experience. I was on a business evening, and we had a wide range of preferences. Everyone came out pleased with their choice. Our server was exceptional, and the unique flavor combinations for most of the dishes were perfectly balanced. A great find!
We had heard such great things about this place and had wanted to try it for a while. The food was definitely unique, however for the price point you do not get very much. Overall good ambiance and service, but the menu is really meant for an artsy food critic than a good date spot.
What an amazing experience! From the moment we walked into the door we were greeted warmly by the lovely hostess. I brought my boyfriend here to celebrate his promotion and they sure made him feel great! Our server was training and was just great! Her trainer even came over to introduce and was keeping a watchful eye.
The food...THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD. Period. Fresh, flavorful, colorful, tasty, out of this world. Nothing can do this justice so I recommend you get here now to eat.
They topped our meal off with a lovely "congrats" cheese board and champagne. Beyond special.
We cannot wait to go back!
This place was amazing. Not gonna lie, we did get alittle lost and couldn't find the place at first. We stood outside unsure if we were at the right place and one of the servers came out to greet us. Once inside, we were seated in front of the kitchen. I hadn't asked to be seated there, but it was such a nice surprise. I had told them that we were celebrating my bfs birthday and the staff did wish him happy birthday multiple times. Our server was very knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. I loved it. He explained every detail about the dishes and we decided on the tasting menu. I couldn't even explain the food if i tried. All I can say, is that it was packed with so many different flavors and texture. My description does no justice what so ever and you just have to go for yourself. I know for sure I will be back!
This was my second visit to FT33. The food was very well prepared. The taste of my entre and dining partner was very tasty. For what you pay though, food portions are very small. Our server was excellent. Very knowledable with the menu and everything was served in a timely manner. Dining area was really too cold. Both the front and back doors were open on a January night where the temperature was in the 40-50's, so the dining room was not comfortable.
Major disappointment was the cocktail. Each of us ordered a dirty martini. The martini was served in an unchilled cordial glass that you would use for an after dinner drink. When you spend the amount of money as you do at FT33 you should receive a martini in a chilled martini glass. Blue cheese olives were requested with the martini, but we were told that the chef has been unable to find satisfactory blue cheese olives in the area, but the martini's were served with very bland, maybe from a jar, pimento olives. When you spend $140 for two entrees, one martini each and one dessert, you expect a little more.
FT33 wants to be known for their farm to table food, but with so many outstanding dinner options in Dallas, the entire experiece needs to be great.
This is a 'must go' each time we are in Dallas -- the food is amazing, the presentation creative, the service excellent, and the setting wonderful.
We sat at the Chefs table, and enjoyed watching the food prep and delivery. It is very difficult to run this kind of 'open kitchen' restaurant successfully, but FT33 does not disappoint!
Totally disorganized kitchen ruined service. Cold dishes .Manager claimed their food is designed to be served at room temperature . Really ?
Presentation in drab bowls a big miss . Farm to table concept does not disguise mediocre culinary underpinnings . A theme restaurant that totally misses.
This restaurant used to showcase the chef’s understanding of food - texture, acids, etc. This trip was a disappointment. Dishes seemed lost - way too bitter and overcooked. Server lacked usual friendliness too. Hope FT33 can come back to what it used to be!
The service at this place was pitiful. I’m hoping we caught them on a bad night for the restaurant’s sake. It was my birthday dinner and when the waiter took our order I could tell he was frustrated with my friend’s and I’s dietary restrictions, so he just left midway of taking our order and went to another table. I was horrified. This also came as a shock bc when I made the reservation, the restaurant was made aware of our dietary restrictions. Eventually, the host caught on to what had happened to us and he took our order. With that said, we had to start from square one with our order. When the food finally came, they forgot my friends meal altogether which is awkward for everyone else that is ready to eat that has manners. Also, it was not like we weren’t spending money. We each had a couple of cocktails and got a couple of dishes. With it being my birthday, that really sucked. I always like to end on a positive note if leaving a review and I will say that my Gnocchi was fabulous.
1) We had a reservation and ended up waiting for another 20+ minutes at the bar.
2) Drinks were just so-so
3) When our table was ready, we asked the hostess if they could bring our drinks to the table when they were ready and she told us to "wait at the bar and bring our own drinks to the table when the drinks were ready." I've never had this happen before
4) Every item we ordered on the menu was extremely salty.
5) Service was slow
