Our server was terrific. The food was delicious but I consider it quite pricey from the wine choices to the entrees. The Ambiance is nice but unfortunately we were seated so my view was the server station. Considering there were at least 30 Empty Tables I found this an odd choice. But each food item was fresh and delicious.

This was our first trip to Waynesville. We certainly chose the right restaurant to try. The 4 of us rank this as one of the best we have ever been too. We could not decide which item on the menu we liked best. We had the Ahi Tuna, the goat cheese appetizers and cannot say enough about the wonderful flavors. We had the Sweet Onion Bisque and the Tortilla soup, both absolutely delicious. For entrees we had Shrimp and Grits, Scallops and the Parmesan crusted strip steak. We just cannot say enough. What an experience of flavors.
Our server, Neville, made our evening so enjoyable.
We enjoyed it so much we are returning tonight!

With an ever changing menu tied to what is seasonally available, this is a true farm to fork experience. When the menu changes, it only gets better. Occasional wine tasting dinners will knock your socks off, but then any night will. You can't go wrong unless you go down the street.

I had fettuccine that was out of this world. My wife had a vegetarian version of the fettuccine which was equally good. I tried the gumbo as an appetizer. I was stunned at how good it was and this is coming from a person who’s lived in New Orleans. Yes,the gumbo is actually as good as anything you’d get at Antoines ,Arnauds or Court of the Two Sisters.

FLPH does farm to table right; everything is fresh, locally grown, and exquisitely selected and paired. From cocktails to soups to salads to the amazing cheese selections and entrees to the deserts and coffee, nothing disappointed.

It’s simply excellent. For the price point, it’s my favorite restaurant not only in Waynesville but anywhere, and I live in Manhattan!

Disappointed that the place is not what it used to be. They changed something. Portions are smaller and even the wine pours are frugal. Not sure what is going on but they need to go back to there roots. We have been going there since they opened traveling from FL. to NC. and not sure we will be back.

The food is amazing. My only complaint...my steak had a lot of gristle which was disappointing for a $38 steak but it was seasoned and cooked perfectly.

This was, I think, our third visit to Frog's Leap. When we are in Waynesville, it is the place we prefer to eat. My husband had a perfectly cooked, delicious pork chop; I had the pecan crusted trout. Both were really good. My trout was accompanied by, I think they called it a sweet potato ragout. Whatever the name, it was a delicious way to cook sweet potatoes, with caramelized onions and bacon. My only reservation about the evening was that we had a vegetarian guest with us, and the vegetarian options were very limited--only one entree, and that one mushroom-based . She didn't dislike mushrooms, but had had them the previous night. She ended up eating a salad and a side of French fries--not much of a dinner. I would suggest an expansion of the vegetarian offerings.

We went to FLPH for Valentine's celebration. Unfortunately they no longer have my favorite item (meatloaf) on the menu. Additionally they eliminated one of our favorite deserts and the draft beer list was disappointing to say the least.

I have had some wonderful meals the previous times I visited and highly recommended Frogs Leap to friends and family. This time we tried the flat breads that were just disappointing. The crust was way to thick and the toppings were just Ok . I guess my expectations were way to high because of the excellent meals that I had in the past.

We drove from almost an hour away, based on positive reviews, for a Valentines dinner and we were not disappointed. This restaurant would stand up against most in Asheville. The food was very well prepared and our server, Neville, was very knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Definitely worth the trip. We plan to return.

Frogs leap is our Local favorite. We love buying from locals and eating local. You feel like you've eaten good, healthy food when you are done. The service is superior, the attention is personal, and the food superb.
I hope the owners prosper well and continue in Waynesville until retirement wisks them away.
We love this place over and over.

Got off to a rocky start with not being noticed or seated for almost 8 minutes or so after we walked in the door, even though we had a reservation and we were right on time. But once we were seated all went well. Abby was our server and she was attentive and helpful with menu suggestions. Our appetizer, Devils On Horseback, were just the slightest bit too dark but still wonderful. The trout was delicious, as was the sweet potato hash and the greens. Overall a good experience and I would recommend.

Frog's Leap was awesome! Our server, Neville, was great at offering suggestions for wine and food... very knowledgeable, energetic, attentive and all-around nice gentleman. My husband and I shared the mushroom soup and Cesar salad for our appetizer... delicious. My husband had the seared scallops and I had the pork chop. Everything came out hot and cooked perfectly. We used Uber to get there, but couldn't get Uber after our meal. The owner offered to have one of her staff drive us back to the hotel in her car. Amazing! We would definitely eat here again, and again, and again.

We went to Frogs Leap Public House while visiting Waynesville this winter, and were not disappointed. The food was so scrumptious, with a great menu and many options to choose from. The trout was very yummy, as were the soups, salads and small plate items. I strongly suggest stopping by this restaurant if you are in Waynesville, especially if you enjoy local, farm to table fare with amazing service (top notch waiter, he was so attentive and helpful).
