My trout was cooked perfectly and my husband ordered the fresh catch which was also amazing. We dine here all the time and are never disappointed. Excellent food, presentation is always beautiful and the wait staff is the best in town.
Our meal was delicious. Compliments to the chef. Our server,Tanya, was excellent. Love this place!
We hadn’t been there in a few years, so when friends moved to Waynesville we decided to meet there. It was as good or better than we remembered. Great choices of locally sourced food. Everything was prepared for flavor and presentation. Will definitely be back again soon
Limited capacity and seating which I fully appreciate. We’re early by 30 minutes and they can’t seat us. She was going to send us back into the rain until I asked if we could sit at the bar.
When we get seated and the dining room is less than half full, why are you putting 3 full tables in a 10x10 square foot space? Asinine. The customers at the front didn’t have people within 20 feet of them.
The waitress we had previously and she did nicely then. Her performance tonight was disappointing. Tonight she was eager to tell my well behaved kids about a bunch of fruity soda drinks. However when we inquired about a kids menu options, her reply was poorly handled. She acted surprised that I asked. We were told fries or we could deconstruct an existing menu item. No other recommendations. Then she has some unnecessary comment about other kids eating well off the existing menu. Not helpful.
The kids shared a steak and the waitress brings it to my wife expecting her to cut and split it. Unbelievable. Good restaurants will split it before bringing out or help the kids.
Food was A+ as usual. But it’s not good enough service to make me want to come back.
Great all around experience, we’ll definitely be back
Some of the best sea scallops, ever. Perfectly prepared. Our server was just as wonderful. A real treat for Nashville visitors. And, Viognier by the glass!
Great wine list and food. Servers were really fantastic. The food was cooked perfectly with good portion size. I would recommend going for just an appetizer, full dinner, or just a nightcap and desert.
We have eaten at Frog Leap many times and the food and atmosphere are always great. My wife had the Trout and I had the Leg of Lamb and both were outstanding.
Our table of four had the daily catch, the pork chop, and the shrimp and grits. They were all excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal.
Can usually rely on a nice experience here, also very loud and hard to hear during busy hours , over all very nice Farm to Table place
The shrimp and grits were excellent, as was the grouper special. And, as always, the Devils on Horseback were beyond compare.
Service was excellent. Wine List was great, offering pairings with entrees. Presentation and flavors of dishes was superb. Celebrated a family event over a meal. Enyoyed Boy all.
Always delicious. Excellent service. We are local and don’t eat here as often as we should.
The food was outstanding on a challengingly busy Memorial Day weekend. Fascinating combinations of tastes, impeccably plated, gracefully served by our charming waitress with perfect wine pairings made for a lovely evening. Despite the number of tables, we were never rushed, and were attentively cared for. The wine choices were also excellent and I loved the chalkboard with the local farm sourced food. Highly recommend
Great ambiance, food and service. The finest meal I have had since Covid. A wonderful experience
Friendly staff and great service. The food was excellent, fresh and delicious. Creative flavors and beautifully presented.
What a gem of a culinary experience. From the lamb to the poke bowl to the flatbread, everything was outstanding. The service was on point, the staff seamlessly transitioned in between each other. We would return and recommend highly. Even with some of the top restaurants in the area down the road in Asheville, Frog Level Public House is worth a visit.
Fine dining in flip flops - Frog's Leap Public House features thoughtful, inventive food that gives both conservative diners and adventurous ones something to enjoy. We were impressed by the quality of the food and its thoughtfulness. The smoked hazelnut chocolate cake with toffee was phenomenal. I've never had smoked hazelnuts before and now can't understand why not.
Likewise, the lamb on ash-charred potatoes with caper rosemary gremolata was fantastic, perfectly seasoned and tender. The hush puppies were well seasoned with a crisp exterior and light, fluffy interior; they were delicious with pimento cheese and hot pepper jelly. Every time mushrooms showed up in a dish, they were great.
Service was friendly, informative, and professional. This is unfussy fine dining that can be enjoyed by many.
Hidden gem! Big flavor and great staff. Menu changes seasonally so always something different to try!
Kim, our server, was an absolute dream as was hostess. Food was extraordinary.
Wonderful service has always been a strong point. The food is outstanding.
We really enjoyed our dinners of the Caesar Salad with its Stone grits with Parmesan, the Trout with asparagus and sweet potato slices was delicious. The daily special of Black Grouper with fingerling potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms was terrific. Most impressive was the waitstaff, cordial, friendly, gracious and so welcoming.
We had a variety of dishes ordered at our table. From tenderloin, to lamb and shrimp and grits. It was all excellent tasting and properly cooked.
The food here is amazing. Not only is the flavors impeccable, but the are gorgeously presented as well. I'd recommend anyone to eat here. I will be back and experience the food here again.
Not the experience I was looking for on my wife's birthday. They were understaffed so service was poor. My trout was good, but my wife's scallops were almost raw. My wife was supposed to get a complimentary desert for her birthday, but that never happened. Very disappointed.
The food was superb and artistically presented. Service was excellent.
Always good, always special.
Our first visit to Frogs Leap Public House, and everything was delicious! I ordered the fish special (crispy skin Black Bass with a beautiful mix of roasted mushrooms, onions, peppers, asparagus, potatoes on a parsnip puree). We have been traveling full time since September, most recently along the southern and SE coast, and have not had a fish entree prepared so beautifully! We also ordered the duck pate appetizer and the Boa bun with short ribs. Hand-crafted cocktails that were equally as impressive.
Host was wonderfully engaging. Staff adhered to all Covid protocol, which we appreciated. Very cozy atmosphere.
Favorite restaurant in Waynesville and Asheville. NEVER disappoints. The wine pairings are amazing and have never had a bad server there.
Nice to be able to go out again without fear! Enjoyed our meals. The service was very good. Had a couple of nice bottles of wine, appetizers and entrees. Tried the pigs ears - interesting. Hubby loved the hush puppies. Fish selections were tasty. Presentation is always nice. Menu is very interesting and extensive. Enjoy your visit!
We felt like we were on a gourmet Food Channel episode. Wonderful food and service.
Frogs Leap seems to get better and better. We have dined their 2-3 times per year while in Waynesville since 2018. They never disappoint.
One of my favorite places! Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. Kim C was a superior server.
Amazing service, delicious food, worth the 40 minute drive without question.
Great food and service . Very nice elegant restaurant we will be back soon .
Creative menu, knowledgeable service, delicious preparation. Well worth the visit.
It was our 34th anniversary and was so looking forward to eating here. They were so busy our reservation was 7:30. I totally understand that COVID has been cruel to the restaurant industry as it is hard to get help. Our server was new and we realized she was having a hard time and they sent another person to help that was knowledgeable. We really thank them for that. The food was beyond amazing! Not enough room to say what should be said. We both had the pork chops and were the best we have ever had. It was closing time and our waitress disappeared. Lol we were ready to leave and it seemed to take forever to get the check. We would definitely go back but earlier. Again the atmosphere and food were 5 star and the service we would at least give a four star under the circumstances they had to work.
Awesome everything as always! - I try to stop by at least once whenever I go up up to my house in nearby.
Our first time and certainly not our last. We were surprised at the array of interesting small plates and meals to share. I have dined in restaurants up and down the eastern seaboard, this little spot stands out. Be adventurous and try something daring. You will be glad
Great overall food and atmosphere. Grateful to have a place to gather with friends in our small town to celebrate.
