Frog Hollow Tavern Ratings and Reviews
We have been to Frog Hollow three times in the past 4 months. We have thoroughly loved the experience every single time. The first time we sat and ate at the bar. The bartender was attentive and explained everything about the menu and what local farms each of the items came from. The second and third time we dined at a table and Cole took care of us. He makes sure that you are well taken care of, but doesn't hover or crowd you. We would recommend Frog Hollow to anybody visiting Augusta, GA or make it one the places you go to anytime you want excellent food.
Probably the best dining experience in Augusta. The service was nothing short of superb. Very good wine selection and excellent farm to table foods and veggies. Go with the special, in my case the pork chop, since they have special sources of pork and know how to put a sauce on them that moves the humble chop into "veal chop" tenderness and taste. Excellent. And, yes, get the mac and cheese. It is creamy and dreamy which is not what one expects from this American staple. Even with your kids, you'll find it impossible to eat Kraft Mac n'Cheese ever again. A bit noisy, so quiet conversation is difficult. But still worth it.
Everything was good here. Fresh ingredients, interesting tastes, good service, good bar. Best place to eat in Augusta! If you are looking for huge portions at low cost...look elsewhere. If you are looking for refined dining, great tastes in a well run establishment, you can't beat it!
Food was good, service was very good. We were there prior to concert and our waiter was very conscious of our start time - much appreciated.
I had the pork chop - which was great, my wife had the braised pork it was ok, but not great. Vegetables were all very good.
This was my husbands and my first time eating here. We can't wait to come back. The food was amazing and so many more dishes we can't wait to try. Service was like I've never experienced before. Our server new all of the specials by heart and described them using mouth watering, I can't wait to eat this manner. He even knew the farms and process where the food came from and how it was handled. The manager was super sweet, positive and friendly. This is definitely my new favorite place. Worth the money. The experience just elevated out date night. Thanks again for a great evening to all the staff and chefs at the Frog Hollow Tavern.
We were in town for a weekend getaway and booked because of its rating on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. We always wanted to try a farm to table restaurant, so we ordered accordingly. Their pork products were fantastic with prepared richness and great flavors. The beef tenderloin was so tender, you could almost cut it with a fork. Great ambience and attentive service. We will definitely return.
Had friends in from out of town and treated them to a spectacular meal and dining experience. Cocktails and wine were delicious, and our meals were so good we shared so we ours get as much experience as possible. Service was the best, and the whole staff were friendly and inviting.
I absolutely loved this restaurant. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there. Wouldn't of chosen anywhere else. We were 30 minutes late for our reservation, but we were able to still get our table on a Friday night. Our waiter, Allun, was amazing. The food and wine was delicious. A must-go-to for Augusta.
Excellent meal and service! My wife and I had the Halibut special with their version of a low country boil...simply amazing. We finished it off with an Apple bread pudding that was not overly sweet and still delicious! We will definitely keep FHT at the top of our “go to” list!
