Chef Sean A. Wight’s vision of an affordable yet stylish dining and social club is born in Frog Hollow Tavern. Located on the 1200 block of Broad Street, the space is a modern “Restaurant meets Bar” where a diverse crowd of people enjoy the company of others paired with a comfortable atmosphere, detailed service, and exquisite affordable cuisine.

Our party enjoyed their meals: Scallops entree over risotto was delicious! Tilefish entree was excellent too. Also had the Soft Shell Crab special with a delicious asparagus arugula but would not order it again because the crab had little flavor and too fried and greasy tasting. We had the Wedge Salad and the Simple Salad and loved both. Finished with the delicious Apple Crisp.

First time eating here and can’t wait to come back! Our server, Fritz, was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable of menu. Our meals were delicious and desserts are to die for! Great experience and a great Birthday supper!

Our dinner experience would have been all 5 stars if it hadn’t been for the 12 top right next to our booth. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and the table next to us included some guests that were obnoxiously loud! Yes, they were having drinks but that is no excuse for drowning out other table’s ability to talk. I want to say it was not constant, but often enough and it wasn’t everyone at the table, but 2 or 3 that wanted everyone to know they were in the restaurant. Next time put big groups in the back of the house or in a banquet room setting, not at the front of the restaurant.

Want a cool, unique place to dine in Augusta with the classiest most exceptional service I've ever had? Frog Hollow fits the bill! Items I would order again--Sea Scallops, Tea Hive, or any of their other fun & different cocktails. They had a very impressive wine list with varietals from California, Washington state, etc. Only complaint was the menu was super-difficult to order from--if you are not a duck, quail, heavy cheese, cream, bourbon fan, you were stuck with very little to choose from. I found myself "exing out" everything that had--for me, somewhat unapproachable fare. But I'm not the most sophisticated foodie out there, so if you are, perfect menu indeed!! I did love the minimalist, uber trendy atmosphere--lends itself to lots of fun and good times with friends or work associates :)

The food isn’t what it used to be. The oyster special was terrible, shrimp and grits barely had any grits and was too smoky. The apple dessert was not good at all. I used to get some of the vegetarian options about a year or two ago. They were fresh and flavorful. Wish you could reintroduce those.

My wife and I went here for the first time. Our server was phenomenal! However, I don't think that this style of restaurant/dining experience is our jam. The food was decent but it wasn’t worth the price at all. 1 small place is the same price of a full meal for 1 person at whiskey bar or sole, (which are far better options). If you want to eat here, it would be more for a flex/status rather than food and drinks.

unfortunately, this was the worst experience we have ever had at FHT. service was great but the food was subpar. my husband's ribeye was a weird cut and overdone. my pork shoulder was ok but i thought a little dry in spots and not much sauce. hate to complain because we love this place but wasn't worth the price this time.

Invited a friend to come a along to dinner. This was not my first experience but it was far better than the last. Ben was our waiter. Very cordial, friendly and knew the menu and all that it had to offer. Our selection was an excellent suggestion along with the wine and dessert. Our compliments to the chef and all in the kitchen… My choice was the marbled rib-eye, potatoes and the creamed kale that was delicious. My friend had the shrimp and grits, which may I add, was far more than just your average shrimp and grits! Forgot to take the photo of our with our crème brûlée. Thank you for a wonderful experience. My friend was quite impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. ….. P.S. Silverware, dishes and glasses were all sparkling clean. Thank you, we appreciate that!

Josh was a fantastic server. He was easily the most polished we’ve encountered in Augusta in a long time! Food was slow coming out (we gave ourselves 90 minutes to dine before a nearby show, but after salad and entree we did not have time for dessert). Pork Chop ordered medium but served very rare; we did not feel like we had time to get it cooked up to medium. Salad was delicious and generous and my wife’s halibut special was divine. We love Frog Hollow and will of course go back again.

While the food was excellent for the most part, our server seemed to be uncomfortable in his role, and not very knowledgeable about the menu items. He was hard to hear as he did not speak very loud. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay, and received a glass of Sauvignon Blanc instead. I wasn’t sure exactly what I had until I saw my receipt.
