Chef Sean A. Wight’s vision of an affordable yet stylish dining and social club is born in Frog Hollow Tavern. Located on the 1200 block of Broad Street, the space is a modern “Restaurant meets Bar” where a diverse crowd of people enjoy the company of others paired with a comfortable atmosphere, detailed service, and exquisite affordable cuisine.

Overall the food was good. I had shrimp and grits in a thin sauce like soup so a spoon was needed to eat it, didn't get one. This was my first time having shrimp and grits with the tails left on so I had to take them off which was very messy. Tails should always be off for shrimp and grits. My wife got the pork special which was very good with the cook at medium as recommended by the chef however the thicker part of the pork was mid rare. Veggies that came with it was just very simple in terms of taste. Don't like the fact that you can't get sweet tea so you either drink water or get alcohol beverage which seems to be the push. We went there because we had went to the owner's other restaurant farmhaus which was excellent. My other issue was with the menu that seared salmon should definitely be on a menu like this in a upper scale restaurant. If you like a massive variety of wine and a full scale bar this is the place to go. We will be checking out the owner's other restaurants.

I think a table should be available for a reservation and having to wait 10 minutes is overbooking. I think, as an older woman dining alone while traveling, being called "dear" by a server is patronizing. I think being asked if I am ready for the check with a half filled wine glass is trying to hustle me along to free up the tables. The swordfish was good, but not a good as it was made out to be.

Good and Service were great. Have eaten here many times when I lived in Augusta. Only thing disappointing was the wine choices by the glass. I was informed they had to much “bottle inventory” and had to cut back. Usually the selection is very good by the glass. Normally I would get a bottle but we have plans afterwards.. Alec our waitress was great, not sure that I spelled her name correctly.

Frog Hollow has never disappointed! The food and wait staff are always on target! Our seating is what caused a moderate noise level. We were seated right beside the entrance door, so through traffic and large parties were distracting. They were manageable! Not much would discourage me from eating at Frog Hollow Tavern.

The food was amazing. Everyone at the table had different entrees and debated who had the best dinner. The attention to detail was apparent in everything from appetizers and drinks to dinner and dessert. The pairing of foods to create individual entrees was unique and delightful. The evening rivaled diners we have had in Amsterdam, Paris and Munich. Highly recommend!! We will be back often.

Frog Hollow Tavern is one of the best options for an upscale dining experience in the Augusta area. The rotating seasonal menu has a wide variety of options, from beef to scallops, that are all expertly prepared. Both the seasonal and standard cocktails are wonderfully mixed. The waitstaff are some of the best in the CSRA, especially Peyton. We've had the pleasure of having her as our server twice now. She is exceptionally professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the restaurant and its offerings. I would absolutely recommend Frog Hollow Tavern to anybody looking for great food, phenomenal service, and a welcoming experience.

We all ordered a different dish and all were superb! Service was polite and unobtrusive-perfect balance of attention and personal space. Best shrimp and grits ever! The pork chop was huge and excellent as well. The swordfish and pork shoulder were enjoyed too!

The wait between appetizers and meal was almost an hr and then to have steak medallions and fries served cold and was told the wait was because beef was ordered med well . Doesn’t take that long for medallions to be cooked med well . Manager did not converse well and said if your still hungry we can bring you something ends when we had only tasted , found cold and hadn’t even eaten . Waitress didn’t check on us and all around guest ordered , were served , finished and paid . We were one of the first parties seated for the evening . Ruined my sisters birthday evening .

We sat at the bar and our bartender was rude at best. I think his name was Alex but cannot be 100% certain. He was unattentive, seemed to have "favorites" at the bar. We ended up leaving before our reservation as it seemed like we were doing him a favor to be there. Not a great experience at all.

Food was delicious! Cowgirl steaks cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. Interesting wine list, had a bottle from Trefethen which you don't see very often. Great service.

Excellent servers. Food was outstanding. I had the Pork Shoulder and it was tender, sauce was full of flavor. Their Mac @ Cheese is excellent. The presentation of the Chocolate Raspberry dessert was great. Very enjoyable dinner.
