   The food tonight was 10/10, truly delicious. The shrimp and grits were smokey, flavorful and well balanced - best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. My brothers had the halibut (ate everything, cleaned his plate) and butcher steak (Smokey, flavorful, delicious). Fritz took care of the table and has loads of personality. Sparkling water came out without having to request it (little things like this mean a lot, we always order sparkling and the fact they FH remember was ❤️). We also requested an “off menu” appetizer, onion rings with bbq sauce and it was delicious- should add this to the menu ❤️. Thanks FH was a wonderful meal and experience.

   First time here and absolutely phenomenal! Our server, Fritz just might be the best server we have ever had! Employees worked together by helping to quickly bring drinks from the bar to table and food straight out from kitchen as not to keep us waiting. Both food and drinks were phenomenal!

   Third visit and I had the gnocchi, while my guest had the halibut. The food was absolutely phenomenal, as usual. And our waiter Fritz was engaging, helpful, and totally on the ball. The ambiance was low lighting and quiet, perfect atmosphere for our date night. Though I did mention it was for a date when I made the reservation (where I also made sure to request to be seated in Fritz's section, as you should too!) So perhaps they took that into account. Either way, I had a fantastic night out, and I really appreciate the effort the entire team at Frog Hollow puts in to make a wonderful experience. Bravo!

   Love this place! The pork chop is always amazing. Last night it was being served with "potato salad". This was a total misnomer and almost caused me not to order it, and it did deter one of our party members. It was actually roasted baby potatoes that were delicious. Other than the poor description everything was phenomenal.

   Frog Hollow Tavern absolutely delivered. The halibut was perfectly cooked—flaky, flavorful, and hands-down one of the best I’ve had. The Old Fashioned was spot on too—well-balanced and smooth. Great atmosphere, great service. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.

   Sampled a variety of small plates (roasted James River oysters, asparagus bisque and the mussels in curry sauce) and large plates (braised Berkshire pork shoulder, shrimp and grits and a scallops dinner special)…everything was exceptional! The service was top notch too. Our server Fritz, made a point of asking all our names, used them throughout the meal, and provided a level of service that was above and beyond what we expected. His recommendations were excellent and he and the other wait staff were attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.
