Frog Hollow Tavern
Expect a dinner menu that features a substantial amount of local and regionally grown seasonal quality ingredients, and menu that offers unique libations, which encourages an active and lively upscale bar scene.
The wine list that boasts over a hundred value driven wines has a focus on sustainable, organic, or bio-dynamic practices. The bar also features a diverse offering of Scotches, Cognacs, Bourbons, and Vodkas, and includes many great classic and seasonal cocktails, all made with freshly squeezed juices and homemade mixes.
Great meal! Enjoyed everything! Perfectly cooked scallops and pork belly. Excellent short rib. The clams were delicious. Baked oysters were tasty but a little over baked. Terrific service and cocktails. Well taken care of by the staff!
Good experience and atmosphere. High quality farm to table food with exceptional small plates, desserts, and cocktail/wine menu. Very pleasant experience. A bit loud at times.
While they tried to be accommodating the menu is very limited for a pescatarian. We are originally from the MY metro area so the cost was no a surprise but the servings are very small. They confirmed it was a 21st Anniversary however, did not acknowledge.
Was good l, food was great a little pricey for me though.
The service by Rhett was attentive without being intrusive. The andouille sausage small plate was outta the world! The classic cocktails of G&T and Oldfashioned were perfectly made. We had ordered the fish and pork bellyfor the mains and although it was not mind blowing one could taste freshness in each bite. Finished the meal off with a Creme brûlée and was the perfect end to the meal. This was our first time at this place which we have heard so much about and am glad we finally made it. Hope to be back here soon.
The scallops and pork belly special was amazing!!!
Excellent food and service. I have never had a bad meal here. Each of our party of 4 had difference meals and they were all exceptional.
The food was phenominal, the drinks were top notch, and the ambience was impeccable. Whether it's a family event or date night you can't go wrong at frog hollow!
LOVED it. So good, best restaurant in the CSRA! This place does everything excellently and has a professional staff.
This is one of the best Augusta has to offer. My wife and I went for dinner on a Friday night and were in no way disappointed. We had some small plates (roasted oysters were amazing). House-made andouille sausage was equally awesome. The 14 oz. pork chop was the best I’ve ever had. We also had the pork belly and it was truly perfectly prepared. The Mac & Cheese was made like a layered lasagna and it worked. The staff was excellent the décor was very nostalgic and we loved our visit. We have lived in Augusta for over a year now and we have paid twice as much for meals which were not equal to this.
Went for an early dinner for our 35th wedding anniversary. Your establishment did not disappoint and our server was excellent. The pork chop was delicious and the farm to table aspect is appreciated. We'll be back and will recommend to friends.
The atmosphere was amazing. The food is always great and on point. This is me and my favorite restaurant. I had the rib eye and she had the pork shoulder. They both were so juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The mac and cheese is the best you'll ever have from any restaurant here in Augusta hands down.
Fabulous as always! Love y'all.
Everything was wonderful, as usual! Loved the eggplant fries and the pork shoulder. Desserts were great too!
Food was amazing! Waiter was really nice and knew about all dishes. He explained everything to a science which helped us choose our meal. Definitely going back.
The food was incredible. Our server Ava Rose was simply the best. We went with her recommendations for our large plate and it was so good! Our favorite dish was the eggplant frites! They are a must try! It's a touch pricey but with their commitment to local sourcing it's understandable and well worth it.
A must for us for at least one dinner each time we come to Augusta. Fabulous food, great service, and this time we had a very quiet table in a far back room we didn't even know existed. Perfect for our anniversary celebration. Wish we lived closer.
We arrived early and were seated promptly. Our server was very knowledgeable and very energetic. She promptly took our drink orders. The roasted oyster appetizer special was amazing. One of my friends ordered the swordfish and he said it was spectacular. The shrimp and grits were good. It was quite noisy though and hard to hear each other talk. The temperature in the restaurant was almost unbearably cold.
We were recommended by a friend, Brian Workman. My customer was very impressed and told the manager everything was excellent. They praised the service, food and everything involved.
Great place for dinner. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Good ambience and very clean. Its award winning mac and cheese was unique - to me, it is more like a cheese lasagna without the tomato or Mariana sauce. The onion rings are made with heavy dough then battered and fried...interesting but not my favorite. The pork chop was very nicely seasoned and the roasted oysters were yummy.
We had a reservation but noticed the bar was not full. We went to have a drink before being seated. My wife and I enjoy sitting at the bar versus a table . Brie and Candace made our experience so enjoyable we stayed and ate dinner instead of being seated. Don't tell anyone how good they are so we will have room on our next visit.
Our waiter had the best way of delivering descriptions and service was excellent. Really enjoyed the food, very rich - except the onion rings on my pork dish were tasteless - but the Mac and cheese suffle was very unique and the pork and sauce were amazing
I made reservations on the website without any problems. I had flowers delivered from Flowers On Broad to surprise my wife for our wedding anniversary and they were nicely placed on our table before we arrived. Our waitress was Adrianna and she was perfect. I believe she was training someone, taller male with curly hair, and he was fantastic as well. The main meal, desert, and drinks were beyond describable. I've had several items on the menu and it's always so hard to decide on one because I want them all. The menu changes but there is always a few staple items. Frog Hollow Tavern is the perfect place to take your date!
Excellent service and food. Highlight of our stop in Augusta.
From the moment we walked in the door we knew it was going to be a great experience. This was our first visit to Frog Hollow and we chose it to celebrate our anniversary. All the details were there to make it a special evening. The food was absolutely fabulous. Save room for dessert. We had a hard time deciding because they all sounded so wonderful. The chocolate cake was incredible!
Rhett gave great service, and was knowledgeable on wine list. Food was delicious!!
great restaurant . food was outstanding, service was great. celebrated my wife and son's birthday very special occasion...eaten at Frog Hollow several times, never disappointed.
Enjoyed the food, service and overall experience. We will definitely be back next time we are in town. We had the shrimp and grits and the pork chop special. Awesome! Our waitress Ashley offered great service and good conversation.
Best Restaurant ive been to in Augusta. Great food, great service.
We had a wonderful dinner at Frog Hollow 3 weeks ago. So we thought, why not take a friend. We had the best seat in the entire restaurant again. Love it.. The staff would not let us sit at our table while my husband was parking the car in the rain.. not good...
The wait staff recommended a wine,we tried it and found it lacking in anything to recommend it at all. In other words. Dreck.
The second choice was ok. We really did not want to bother again. And the waitress gave me the impression that this was it. No more choices.
We ordered the apple carpaccio again. Our favorite dish at Frog Hollow.. fantastic again.
Ordered dinner..waited 30 minutes at least for 3 overdone large plates. Not happy w our food. We then ordered all the desserts, as we do.
All 4 were again wonderful.
Probably won't be back in the foreseeable future. Many more restaurants to try.
excellent quality food for good value. Service quick and accurate with a good wine menu to match the food. Menu changes with the seasons and accompanying sides are well thought out.
Have the Apple carpaccio for starters ..............its exceptional!
Simply one of if not the Best Restaurant in town. Our go to place whenever we are in Augusta, be sure to make a reservation !!!
One of the best restaurants in the Southeast, a must eat in Augusta!
Wow Great service even better food, and cocktails!! Best pork chop on the planet.. Blantons on a cube = perfection!
The wait was particularly long and I made a reservation at 7:45pm and didn’t get seated until 9 pm:( it was my birthday too and also my first time at this restaurant. Everything else was great once we got seated though. But if you make a reservation there’s a 50/50 chance you will be waiting longer then intended and could be standing or waiting outside in the heat with mosquitoes:)
Good food and service. Never disappoints! We had to wait a little, but the restaurant provided complementary appetizers which was really nice.
Good food, excellent service, this was our second time there for anniversary dinner and will be back.
One of our very favorite Augusta restaurants. Service is impeccable but not stuffy, the sausage is my husbands favorite and the farm table style is perfect. Nice wine selection, my husband wished there were a few more beer sections.
We had heard about Frog Hollow through some friends but never had a chance to visit until the other night. The experience was not what I expected. It was better. I was thinking it would be an upscale bar type atmosphere; instead it was an extremely nice, reasonably quiet setting. It was perfect for the birthday we were celebrating. The servers were attentive without being overbearing and the food was great. We will be back.
Excellent farm to table dining. Pork chop was excellent as well as the Rib Eye. Service was top notch. This is a special occasion location so for dinner and a drink expect to spend $150 after tip.
