We have always enjoyed the ambiance and relative safety (covid) of your courtyard but to be honest, four of us had different dinners and none of us thought our dish was more than okay.
Overall experience terrible from the beginning. It’s been quite awhile since last visit and a big disappointment. Waited over 45 minutes for a shrimp appetizer that was brought out with my wife’s entree and not with my entree. Waiter sensing our annoyance for waiting so long toped off my wife’s wine without us asking which we thought was a nice gesture. Finally my entree was brought out and was burnt to a crisp. Knowing big changes since our last visit I asked if there was an ownership change and was told new owners took over about a year ago. Waiter brought out a new portion of my entree knowing how bad the original was without me saying anything. At this point it was useless and we had no interest. When check finally came we were charged full for everything including the wine we didn’t ask for. Regrettably I paid the bill in its entirety without questioning or complaining about the amount being charged. My opinion is if that’s how they want to treat customers that’s their business and I just won’t go back. It seems the new owners are over their heads in managing this place.
Couldn’t hVe been better! Great service and fabulous food.
Honestly, food was great and the service was perfect. Couldn’t ask for anything better
Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was an extremely busy night according to the staff racing around and looking nonstop busy. Our fish was a bit overcooked and the octopus was not edible. The manager took the octopus off of our order and was very nice and cordial. However, this was a second try at this restaurant. I don't think we will dine here again.
service was ridiculous. one hour to get a salad. two hours to get the entrees
the seafood paella special was pathetic. clams and mussels only.
Most of the dishes were not good. Quality was much better pre Covid. The server was very nice however extremely slow and did forget to bring one of our appetizers.
LOVED IT! Food was amazing and service was soooo good!
nice relaxing place to go for delicious, good quality food in the back outdoor area.
Reasonably priced - decent liquor pour"s - friendly staff - sit as long as you want- highly recommended.
The food was good. I had to ask for more dressing for the wedge salad, it came out with very little on it. The ambiance was ok.
Unfortunately, the back outside area which is pretty was booked having a private party, so guests requesting out side dining were put in front of the restaurant. The view was the parking lot. If I would have known, I would have not picked that place to celebrate my birthday. Additionally, I think they only had one server for everyone . The service was so slow and when we told the manager, she did not apologize. We had to leave before dessert as we told the server we had to leave soon and he never came back to take our order. After 20 minutes, my husband had to go inside to pay.
Todd was a fantastic waiter. Thank you also to Phillip for coming to check things out. Even the chef made an appearance. What a very special birthday celebration for me.
Great food and service
I made a reservation for an outdoor table, knowing how pretty their garden is. Upon arrival, I was told that my reservation from open table wasn’t guaranteed . Had I called directly, they would have given me the table. How disappointing!
We were celebrating a birthday, we sat outside feeling like the Covid social distant rules were being followed.
We had a fabulous meal . Topped off with a sparkling birthday candle.
Apple blueberry salad did not come with blueberries until we asked. Specials should be on paper not just told to you due to too many specials to remember. Also, should give prices of specials. Food overall was very good and service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and patient. Will come back mainly because of how she treated us
Went for Happy Hour and appetizers. The glass of wine was $16.00
What a rip off
No ambiance, no bread or cracker waiter just rude
Fries to Caviar is a lovely setting, serves great food, and the staff is most accommodating.
Dined here New Years Eve. Ate outside. Very windy night so decorations would not stay where they should have.
All in all very pleasant, food was very good, and service was a bit slower than usual, but ok.
The tuna and bolognese dishes were excellent. Appreciated the ability to reserve outside.
The food was outstanding, the best gumbo I’ve had outside of New Orleans, service was the best, I did not eat outside but will the next time I go
The food came out before we had gotten our cocktails. When told the order was lost, we could do nothing. The food alff see o came in shifts, the five of us could hardly eat together. The waitress was apologetic and probably not at fault, however when the bill came , there was no accommodation made! Not a desert or the drinks, since they took half an hour to get to the TA. When I asked the waitress to see the manager, she didn’t bother coming to the table. The waitress said 50% of our drinks were taken off the bill, and a $5 desert. I have never experienced a more poorly managed restaurant. It’s unfortunate, because the food was good and the wait staff lovely. Needs a new manager!!
Good from beginning to end. Our server was wonderful
I GO ONCE A WEEK.. ONE OF MY FAVORITES. ALWAYS ACCOMMODATING MAKING A CHANGE TO YOUR DISH HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Very nice diversified menu. Good presentation and very good food. Beautiful outdoor dining.
We ate outside. There is ample well separated spacing with respect to Covid.
Our meal was excellent, We shared the Grilled Octopus appetizer, I had the Surf and Turf special, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the steak Diane appetizer portion for her dinner entrée. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
This review is specifically regarding the Sunday dim sum which is nit the typical Fries to Caviar restaurant which we have always loved
Our Sunday Dim Sun was abysmal...took 40 mins for a cocktail that we had to go inside to bar to remind. Foot took very long came cold and one dim sum container was dropped upside down on table.
The Peking duck was average at best
The dim sum manager couldn’t care less
The ultimate insult came when my credit card was “declined” according to same manager in front of my guests!! Was NOT declined but she times out at register and it never went through!!!
I will be back to Fries and Caviar but not on a Sunday .
Service was great and the food was excellent. I love how they support local businesses like Captain Clays fresh seafood.
Dim Sum night, Everything horrible ordered six dim sum one worse the other inedible will never go back!
It was our birthday - my wife & I share the same day. We needed outdoor dining & I like the menu at Fries to Caviar.
Our server was tremendous. She was quick with icy cold water as I was parched from a day on the beach. We shared Fries 2 Caviar appetizer & enjoyed wine & drinks. Entrees of chicken parm, chicken Milanese and the Grouper special were really good.
I appreciate the friendly accommodations and always a pleasant attitude!
Fries to Caviar is a reasonably price restaurant with exceptional food. I ordered the special chix dish and it was "special," freshly prepared, unique sauce, tender, flavorful. My husband ordered a steak dish that was equally a delicious meal. We ordered dessert and it was well worth the calories. The restaurant is clean, tables are separated for proper "social distancing." We had a relaxing meal, w/ great service. We will definitely return for another great meal.
This place never disappoints!! Excellent food, great service and inviting atmosphere!
The service was terrible and the food was not what it was last year....overpriced and not even at the correct temperature! This was my last time going there.
Excellent dishes that are innovated with amazing sauces. Their avocado carder is heavenly hand the clams and mussels were exquisite!
Food was really excellent. Had the duck and would get it again. Wife had Pampano also excellent. Outdoor seating was spaced and protected from rain. Definitely will go back.
First time eating here and will definitely return! Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere!!!
Wonderful evening. Fantastic meals and great service!
The food was well prepared and served. The ciacetti sp? Is exceptional.
Got there and even though we had a confirmed outdoor reservation, they told us they overbooked and did not have a table for us with no apology whatsoever. Due to COVID-19 we did not want to sit inside. After just standing around waiting for our friends, my husband went back inside to find someone in charge suggesting that maybe someone on the back patio was almost finished. Lo and behold there was a table getting the check. When we got seated it took more than 20 minutes to order drinks. Then after quite a wait, one out of four drinks was served as they had run out of wine glasses. Next we ordered appetizers. Again, one came out and was eaten before the rest arrived. Ridiculous! All in all, not the best experience.
