Friends is nestled in a 500 year old Tudor building on historic Pinner High Street. Our house may be old but our culinary heart is very much of today. We serve the very best of British and French cuisine

It was meant to be a quiet dinner for 2 and we enjoyed our food very much.
Attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere and fine dining ... a perfect combination.
Unless you're willing to travel to Central London 'Friends' is the only restaurant for miles that prepares and serves food to this standard.
We've eaten here on a few occasions and every course served has been fantastic.
I made an oh-so belated, but most welcome return to Pinner's not-so-best-kept secret on Friday; the place was bustling with diners, clearly elated to be sampling the delights of uber-talented chef Stelian Scripcariu. Old favourites, revamped to tempt the most staid of palates, alongside innovative and novel dishes make decision making a tough call. Why can't they offer a smorgasbord of the whole lot?! Thank goodness for the option of half carafes of a number of great wines to ease me through the angst. The scallops were succulent cushions, reminiscent of many a Mediterranean enchanted evening, and the ensuing steak was as tender as an F. Scott Fitzgerald night. Now, I'm not a pudding gal, but the yogurt parfait is not to be missed in favour of an early cab home. I'm not much keen on yogurt, I don't eat blackberries, and I positively despise basil, but this little objet d'art, complete with honeycomb, is something I'll remember if I live to be 100—which is most unlikely if I keep eating as heartily as I did on Friday! Congratulations, Stelian and team (led by Maria, Pinner's second hidden gem). Keep doing what you're doing, and they will come.
Visited for mother’s day and all throughly enjoyed our visit. Food was very special and service very nice.
Superb food and great wines too. The service is absolutely spot on. In fact the chef actually comes over too!!
Friends Restaurant is in a class of its own - it has no real competition. A rare and welcoming oasis.
We hadn't been back to Friends since the change of ownership. As strangers we were greeted warmly. The menu choices had me drooling and the food was delicious. Presented in a TV Masterchef way but more meaningful portions. The chef came round to chat to customers later in the evening, a charming man and clearly an inspiration in the kitchen. Although we no longer live round the corner we will be dining there again.
Excellent meal. Food was outstanding in quality and flavour. Lovely atmosphere and good service. Highly recommend.
Really fantastic service. The duck was delicious, cosy intimate atmosphere.
Well worth a visit. Service and food very good. Will go back!
Had lunch with a friend. A really lovely restaurant (with tablecloths which I think really makes it) set in a lovely old Tudor style building in the beautiful High Street of Pinner. The ambiance was good, the food was good, the service was good - what's not to like about it? Nothing!
Excellent menu, tasty food beautiful surroundings, very highly recommended
The food was very good and the service was great. The chef came out especially to greet us at the end of the meal which was a lovely touch that made our experience special.
After finding this gem on a Google search I was excited to try it out. And it didn't disappoint. Cosy and friendly surroundings, attentive staff - although towards the end of the evening when it was busy they were difficult to come by, but it was a Sat night - and amazing food presented beautifully. Well worth the £££ for that special occasion. I'll be returning for my birthday celebrations!
First visit to Friends,
Food was excellent waiting staff were great and Chef came to make sure we were happy.
Will definitely return to Friends with friends.
Went to Freinds for late Valentine’s Day dinner on Friday everything was excellent especially the wine thanks very much we will definitely be back
The pre-starter was a lovely surprise and beautifully presented on a black slate plate. The bread rolls were nice and warm still and delicious. The starters of salmon and beetroot with goats cheeses was beautifully presented and delicious. The mains of spinach, pine nuts ravioli was lovely and filling. We did not have any space left for dessert. We met chef Stelian and got offered after dinner liquors which was fantastic palate cleansers just what we needed. We most certainly go back again.
beautiful ambiance and amazing chef with a team. Loved this restaurant and the food!!!!
I will be going back.
I booked this restaurant for Valentines dinner. The restaurant itself is lovely. The rich history of Pinner can be seen from outside and inside throughout, with low ceiling and original beams etc.
The menu was great, the food tasted awesome and the chef himself went round to each table to ask how the food was. The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive but not so much that you felt rushed at all. A beautiful meal and evening and the fact that I live around the corner from this (almost) hidden treasure means that I will definitely be back again with the wife.
Thank you so much to all at the restaurant for a lovely evening and meal.
Thank you so much to the lovely staff at Friends for making our Valentines dinner so special! From the moment we walked the service was great, amazing food especially the lamb and the heart dessert. Will be come back next year for sure!
Great, classy to high end restaurant. I had a very delicate salmon starter... "fusion" style. Fantastic stone bass main. Rich and full of flavour.
Wire, reasonably priced wine list.
We were there for very busy Saturday when they struggled a bit with speed ofv service, but everyone was nice. Lucky, we were not in any hurry.
Took a client for dinner and was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and the service.
For a lunch time meal everything was cooked fresh and to perfection.
The food and service were really good. Certainly a bit pricey, but, the food was really top quality. Very disappointed that the choice we opted for wasn't on the menu, it's a limited menu but should cater for everybody. We were seated close to the stairways and could hear a lot of noises from the kitchen, so felt a bit bothered by that - if not would have made for a wonderful dining experience.
It was an enjoyable meal but it was quite expensive at £144 for 4 people for lunch. Maybe that's why we were the only customers.
Great food and wine and friendly and attentive staff
The whole evening exceeded our expectations.from front of house, who were so welcoming and professional,to the kitchen who delivered great and well thought out dishes.a lovely evening indeed.an unexpected visit from the chef at the end of the night to get feed back from us and convey his thinking and conceptions behind his dishes, was a nice touch.it is very refreshing to meet someone with so much passion, for what they are doing.we will definitely go back again.
From the very beginning of entering the restaurant, my fiance and I were greeted with a friendly face. The staff at Friends restaurant were helpful friendly and added a special touch for my fiance and I's anniversary.
The food was great especially the lamb. 100percent recommended.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was peaceful and conversational. Great place to take a friend/date/older family members.
I have no complaints about the restaurant and a personal thanks to the staff and the chef's at the restaurant.
Excellent and imaginative food beautifully presented. A wonderful meal celebrating birthday. Thoroughly recommend.
We wanted a great fine dining experience to celebrate a birthday. The starters were reasonably nice but the main courses were largely really tasteless. I was very disappointed with the Turkey dish and ended up leaving half of it. I thought the restaurant was extremely expensive so will definately not be recommending it.
Superb service. Friendly yet discrete. Food to die for. Definitely a special place for special occassions.
Ideal for my lunch with old friends - fantastic food, quiet although the restaurant was full, and charming service.
A gem of a restaurant and the lunch menu is very good and at a cracking price considering the quality of the food. I guess for the young trendy lefties who would want to sit with their phones stuck to their faces then this would not be the place for them. For food boffins who want a cozy warm atmosphere with great tasting food then this is.
Amazing food! Amazing service all together a lovely experience
The service and the food were excellent. The starter was was outstanding. We all had the salmon main course which we quite often have when we eat out this was one of the best we have ever had. Thank you
This is a lovely small local restaurant, with beautifully presented, delicious food, efficient service and a really nice atmosphere. We had a party of 11 for a birthday celebration in the private room, and everyone agreed that it was a great night.
We have visited a few times now and will return. The food is good for the price paid. It's not your standard menu and caters for something a little more special.
The service is good as you would expect but have to mention Maria in particular- her smile is infectious and really goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
Very nice waitress, very attentive, excellent delicious starter, main course of Roast turkey could have been more generous with the veg quite expensive but balanced by very good service and anniversary treat mince pies. Would like to return.
Excellent service and phenomenal food. Will definitely return
The service at Friends was very attentive. All the food was very attractively prepared, good portion sizes without being too big and very tasty. Good range of choices for Sunday lunch. Restaurant was busy but without feeling crowded or too noisy.
