At Friday's Station you are paying a premium for the view. However, knowing that going in, the food and service were very good and I would come back here again.
$75 for a 12oz steak and overall price of the entrees should reflect an amazingly big experience. .reasonable portion, the most amazing cut of beef, unprecented flawless table service. And a server that was well presented, tidy with at a minimum clean attire. Missed on this one... thank goodness for the view.
Had escargot, oysters and scallops with a bottle of Malbec rather than heavy meal while watching the snow storm roll in. Again excellent service from Steve.
Beautiful views of the lake & mountains and really great food! The prawns in pineapple-rum sauce are amazing! Shrimp bisque is really good. Wish they still served the salmon spread with bread. Great place for a special occasion. Expect to pay for it. We left very satisfied!
Gorgeous views! Great service!
Awesome dining experience. Wonderful views and service.
We went in for are 40th wedding anniversary. I don’t drink alcohol so I brought in a bottle of non alcohol drink. $2.99 a bottle. The server said it will be a $25 corkage fee. The maître d’ has always told us we don’t have to pay corkage. My husband had the crab and it was fishy. Every other anniversary that we have celebrated in there we have gotten a free dessert, not this time. When you spend $$ you expect a little bit more!
The service was outstanding and so was our meal. The views are spectacular and made our dining experience extra special
Everything was wonderful! Five of us celebrated two birthday’s. I had the Lamb Chops, medium rare, and they were perfect.
Vacation great food
Best prime rib.....ever. Excellent bartender. Shrimp and crab cakes were excellent.
The food was delicious and beautiful view of the lake.
Good dinner selections. Our waitress, Yvonne, was friendly and was a great waitress.
Waiter was really entertaining, good sense of humor.
Such a great place! The Maitre D, Bo Young, could not have been any better and came by the tables to make sure that everything was going well. Our server Heather was unbelievable. We will return again and again!!!
My family and I came to dine here during dinner. It was a very decent meal though one of our side dishes was forgotten. They made up for it by giving us an extra dessert which was nice. We had the filet and others at the table had the Chilean Sea Bass and crab cakes. It was okay. The dessert was delicious however and we thoroughly enjoyed that. Service was impeccable and our server ensured that we were attended to for everything which made up for the food. Overall, a good place to dine if you are willing to spend the money.
Over rated, over priced, quality of meat is so so. Charge 2 corkage fees with 1 magnum bottle. BS.
Hostess, bar and table service were excellent,
The appetizers were great but the main course – bone in ribeye was under cooked at first and then they brought another piece of meat which didn’t quite taste right...We have had good meals there in the past though So the chef just may of had a bad day.
Great food, service and view!
Was asked for my Total Rewards card 3 times at restaurant, but received NO discount for bar or meal... even though I charged dinner to our hotel room. Barman was not professional... shouted at us from other end for drink order. No class.
Ordered Rib-eye cooked medium. Came almost rare and less than medium rare. Had to send back to get refired. It took too long for service throughout the meal. Noise level was very loud in the restaurant. We have eaten at Friday's Station 4 times and are never overly impressed. I expect more for fine dining and probably will not return even though we go to Tahoe every few months. View is spectacular, but at the end of the day it is the food and service that needs to shine.
Absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing!
The food was fantastic. We had the Sea Bass and Scallops and the Cowboy Ribeye Steak. The chef here is amazing. Our server, Michael, is the best in terms of service and great recommendations. He makes a wonderful experience even better.
Second time I have eaten there and it’s the second time we have felt 2nd class to “regulars”. We stay in the hotel and love it, we gamble for days and I was just disappointed that our trip ended (for the second) time feeling “less than”. I make reservations weeks in advance to get a window seat and each time was not greeted very nicely. We did sit at the window but my date and I felt very unimportant. Beautiful restaurant and waiter was great.........just wished I didn’t leave there feeling yucky.
Will not be going back........sorry.
Went to Friday's Stations planning to enjoy an "old staple' on the menu: Their Snoopie Salad. We were disappointed. The description says: Butter Lettuce; it was mostly iceberg lettuce. Not much crab. As Tahoe locals, this used to be a favorite there. We won't be going back. Also, the service, while efficient, was not very friendly. And, the shrimp cocktail that we had before the salad, while good, was grossly overpriced. We won't be going back. Too bad. When Bill Harrah was alive, this was a great place. No more.
Michael was a great waiter just like last time. New busboy did a great job as well. Timing down to a science. Excellent prime rib!!
Combine the beautiful views of Tahoe with excellent service AND wonderful food and you get a fabulous evening. Scott, our waiter, could not have been more spot on! Thanks to all the great crew for a wonderful and memorable dinner.
Everything on plate was perfect. Balanced meal where nothing needed any additional seasoning. The steak was cooked perfectly. The creme Brulee was among the best I ever had. The service was excellent and though I was dining alone I never felt uncomfortable or neglected. I would highly recommend.
Salmon could have been cooked a tiny bit more
Loud but but food, service and views way over weigh everything else. Our first but not last time there.
My wife and I were doing the whole30 and our waiter was very accommodating and checked to make sure all the dishes we ordered didn’t have dairy, gluten or added sugar.
Awesome! Great view. Service has perfect.
Disappointed that my request to substitute baked potato for garlic mash potatoes on $58 Porterhouse Steak entree was not allowed per restaurant policy.
Never had a bad meal here until 1/21/2018. Ordered a filet and it wasn't tender as usual. Disappointed but didn't tell our server because she was so nice. (Myra)
We enjoyed a delicious dinner - filet was perfect - sea bass delicious - salad scrumptious - and topped it off with a Baked Tahoe. Lovely night for a special birthday dinner. :)
Been to this place every time when in South lake Tahoe. Love the French Onion Soup my favorite.
I went to Friday's earlier in the week and the food, service and ambience were great! It was as advertised a "fine dining" experience. On this visit the service was terrible. Not only did the waiter bring the wrong glass of wine he brought the wrong color (we ordered white and he served a red). He did not bring the soup I ordered and did not have an explanation why. He rushed us and leaned on us as he cleared the table. Then the bill he brought was wrong. I had to speak with the manager. I do not know if the waiter was untrained, incompetent or rushed because of the Saturday crowd but the meal was not enjoyable and an overall bad experience!
One would think this was a premium grade steakhouse, but unfortunately that is not the case. While the wait staff was dressed in tuxedo like outfits, I knew something was off when our waiter said “ how can I help you guys??” Not, Sir and Madame, How May I help you this evening....anyway! The steaks were terrible with no flavor. A good quality piece of meat needs basic seasonings if prepared correctly. I won’t even feed the steak to my dogs and they eat anything.
The cocktail was ok but not the greatest.
I will say the environment is nice and of course the views are lovely but I won’t be returning to this steakhouse nor referring anyone here. Sorry.
My boyfriend and I stayed the weekend in South Lake Tahoe for our one year anniversary and we wanted to go out one night for a nice dinner. Friday's Station was perfect and the view was amazing. Our server (Heather?) was funny and laughed at my jokes which was probably the best part... she recommended a delicious item on the menu and brought us chocolate moose that say "Happy Anniversary" for no charge. I would return!
