Friday's Station Steak & Seafood Grill - Harrah's Lake Tahoe Ratings and Reviews
My date and I had a $60 bottle of wine, prawns/filet, King Crab Leg/filet and one cocktail....$250.00 was too much. Had to send steak back as it was way under cooked and quite tasteless. The one crab leg was the meal highlight. Our waitress was delightful as well as the view, but not worth the money both my date and I wont be back...
We went here for New Year's Eve and had excellent food and service by Tarius! There was a prix-fixe menu for the special night and the choices were great for $120pp. We started with Escargot and a seafood plate, followed by a Crab Caesar salad and a shrimp bisque, that was hot and tasty. For dinner, we had filets and lobster! The filets were cooked perfectly to medium-rare and the lobster was also cooked perfectly, not rubbery or dry. The only gripe I have is that the steak and lobster could have been hotter, but the portions were large and very filling. Dessert was a nice slice of chocolate cake and a strawberry mousse/parfait. Since the restaurant is on the 18th floor, there are great views of the city and the main strip. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We have always enjoyed our meals at Friday's Station and did so this last visit. However, we ordered the Seafood Platter and all the seafood was undercooked...in fact some parts were barely edible. We should have turned the plate back in but chose not to...our big mistake as the next day I had severe stomach problems! We were told by another couple we met that they too experienced the same issue....seafood completely undercooked.
The onion soup was delicious except for a bit too much cheese on top.
Our waitress was extremely flexible. Neither of us like fingerling potatoes and she was able to switch it out for a different side. We both started with the Snoopy salad this time (last time I had the excellent ahi tuna) and I can see why it’s a local fave. We had the chef special with grilled scallops and Chilean sea bass...also excellent. Friday’s never disappoints.
We had our annual trip meal at the chart house and we were so disappointed we decided to go out for another nice dinner. This place was amazing! The food and service were exceptional. My only negative thought is I think some dishes were priced a little high in the 70 range which I think is just a little too high. However, my husband and I will be returning and telling all our other family this is the new spot for our annual Tahoe trip dinner! We had the foie gras, escargot, wedge salad, sea bass with scallops and a fantastic bottle of wine. Service was top notch, atmosphere was great and the view of the city lights was great. They could update their sitting/ bar lounge with new seating and pillows but overall that would be a small criticism.
Friday’s Station is one of our favorite restaurants anywhere for fine dining. The view is gorgeous. The booths are situated so that everyone has a view. The ambience is elegant. Every menu item is exquisite and the service is excellent. I always look forward to a very special dinner there.
Excellent service. Nice ambiance. Subpar food. Ordered the ribeye. I think it was USDA Select grade or maybe lower. You'd think they would serve at least UDDA Choice grade. Steak had no flavor except for the sauce accompaniment and was hard to cut with the knife provided even though ordered it medium. I think I had better steak at Olive Garden. Onion soup and calamari was good.
Before this weekend's event i have been a 8 year customer at this steakhouse. Saying that I started by making a reservation as i normally do on opentable. Being 10 min early with everyone present i was told by the maitre d that i should call the resturant directly for better service. Customer service just lost several stars there. We were seated after 34 min ave having a reservation. Wait staff were ok. I ordered the steak that came with no salt or pepper. I asked the waitress if the steak comes plain and she then said she forgot the sauce to go with it. After receiving the sauce which was a greasy onion and mushroom mix that didn't help the steak at all. Disappointed about my steak I enjoyed the snoopy salad and baked potato. Lastly, the table ordered a fresh pot of coffee and was steered away from the coffee because it wouldn't be fresh. The waitress asked if we would all like a espresso shot to make the coffee taste better in the same sentence. I have never asked for the world in a resturant only fair customer service and on this visit was far from that. I hope that this can be made right for myself and others in the future.
They over-cooked our steak and the lobster was tough, however, the crab legs were outstanding! The shrimp bisque with corn was also amazing! I’d come back again but would remind them the way we want the steak cooked! It also took the server over 5 minutes to greet us.
The food was quite good. Lamb was spot on and the chutney sauce was tasty. Creamed spinach was good, but the use of Panko was excessive. The view was spectacular and the service was right on- Mike was quite attentive and friendly. Advice- reserve a window table at sunset.
Came here for a Birthday dinner. Excellent service, excellent food and spectacular views of Lake Tahoe at Sunset. I highly recommend going early enough to see the Sunset, we lucked out on a clear evening and had amazing shades of pinks and purples over the water!
Ordered the prime rib and the Porterhouse steak (26 oz!) and both were delicious! Well worht the price for food combined with getting to take pictures of the view alone! Will definitely return.
If it weren’t for the delicious foie gras appetizer, the meal would have been a bust. Probably one of my top 3 appetizers ever. The rib eye steak on the other hand didn’t taste right. The peppercorn sauce wasn’t good and the meat tasted old. Ribeye is usually so tender and has a nice amount of fat. The ribeye here was not good at all. Not sure if the cut was wrong or if it was just an old sick cow. Another person on my tour said the same thing. He ordered the ribeye and said “it sucked”. Although my friend had the filet mignon and she said it was delicious. I’ll admit I had a bite of hers and I wish I had that instead. Just do not order the ribeye and you will be set.
If you get the chance to visit Friday's Station at Harrah's you won't regret. A very classy restaurant and lounge located on the 18th floor. The Lounge opens at around 4:30 pm on weekdays and Saturdays so you can enjoy the sunset over Lake Tahoe. The service and food is top notch. We had Scallops as an appetizer, for dinner my wife had the Lamb Chops with Mashed Potatoes and I had the Filet Mignon with Blacked Prawns. Dessert course was a Chocolate Lava Cake with Caramelized Bananas. Again, dinner was amazing and our server, M Patt, took great care of us. Worth a visit if you're in the South Lake Tahoe area.
The lamb chops with dipping sauce were absolutely wonderful. The rare prime rib was so tender and flavorful you could almost cut it with a fork. The snoopy salads were a great way to start out the dining adventure. Great views of Lake Takoe, very efficient and friendly service, overall a very pleasant experience. Can’t wait to go back.
