It is a lovely dining room with great food.
Fresno off season is wonderful. The food was delicious and although it was noisy, unlike a July-August experience, table talk was possible. Friendly staff make you feel welcome. We will certainly do it again, but will probably stick to off season.
It was a blustery night in East Hampton last Friday, but Fresno offered a warm sanctuary of great food and cozy atmosphere. We have come quite often and are always glad we did.
Great job on the Scallops Special chef.
Been here several times and always well worth it. One of my favorites in EH
Great restaurant, service and food. In the midst of a N'or Easter, we found a special place.
Last night was a wonderful evening. The restaurant was quiet, service was relaxed and the food was everything it should be. Wish it would stay like this instead of being a magnet for the rude and wealthy city-fools who tend to be loud, rude and abusive.
Had a $10 open table reward rejected by the owner. It was by MasterCard. He said his system wouldn’t accept it.
I use open table a lot. Why if I can’t get my reward. Who can I call to discuss
Not quite the value. We had $30 price fixe that includes appetizer and entree. $5 more for dessert. The food is somewhat American mixed with Asian and really think it would be better as american. Butternut squash soup mixed with miso tasted like a mistake in the kitchen. The green hummus was almost tasteless. Mussels in coconut milk was fair and the papparedelle duck pasta was too Spicy. The setting is cozy though we were the only ones at 5:30. If crowded, the tables seem very close. The service was friendly and warm but so is Starbucks.
My favorite restaurant in the Hamptons!
Excellent food and service
Been there many times. very consistent. Best burger in the Hamptons. Pork chop is also excellent. Keep in mind it's a drop costly but worth it.
Fantastic all around. Michael and the crew always do an incredible job, the special fish was spectacular!
Was introduced to the restaurant in the fall by friends.. and decided to head back when I was hosting other friends in town.
Always great! The whole fish was soooo good!
Great service from Alex at the table, Kyle behind the bar and Tina all around. Would reccommend any of David's restaurants; Fresno delivers everytime.
Kristi was great!... As always, Fresno is perfect for us... thank you!
Our fav go to spot in EH
We done all year long
Great consistent food
Fresno is without question one of the best restaurants in the Hamptons.
The food is always reliably very good to excellent - tonight the tomato soup with pesto was fabulous, the salmon perfectly prepared, the wedge salad always great and their special manhattan which they craft by hand with great spirits and they barrel age is the perfect cold weather cocktail
other places may come and go, and get flashy reviews, but I know for a great meal in East Hampton nothing beats Fresno
Michael, Gretchen & Tina are the perfect hosts! The food is wonderful and there is always something new and delicious to try. We highly recommend to friends and family and anyone visiting East Hampton for the first time.
Best roast chicken anywhere.
Very creative chef! We have never been disappointed here.
We absolutely love Fresno, definitely one of the very tops on our Hamptons list. Tina is the most gracious manager and Kyle as our waiter could not be better. We will be back over and over again!
Fresno is always a hit with us. In our neighborhood, dependable food, friendly service. love sitting at the bar on a dark winter evening.
Food was outstanding and very accommodating to diet needs. Staff especially friendly for area.
Normally I love this restaurant but my last meal there was terrible largely due to awful service, which no one acknowledged. Our waitress acted like she’d rather be someplace else. Our food took a very long time to arrive. Something, our drinks perhaps, should have been on the house.
Fresno never disappoints. We brought our house guests and they enjoyed their meal immensely and the ambience was lovely. The service was excellent. We were seated immediately upon our arrival and dinner was served with just the right amount of time between courses.
Exceptional prix fixe...and amazing desserts!
Always delivers. Our favorite Friday night spot. The chef is always adding new twists to enhance the offerings. Kudos to the entire team.
Delicious dinner. Service much better than on weekends when servers get slammed.
My family and I have eaten at Fresno ten times over the last three years, and it gets better each time including the service, beverage service and the food. Always a great time!
Steady and consistent...solid food, nice ambience...would certainly go again
Though a little off the beaten track, Fresno continues to be one of our go to Hamptons favorites. The food is always excellent - my fave is the Tilefish - and the specials are super fresh and locally sourced.
Definitely worth a try while in the Hamptons. Make a reservation
Excellent food, drinks and service. One of the best meals this summer.
Amazing as always. Fresno will not let you down. One of the best places in east hampton.
We were a twosome and have eaten at Fresno a number of times. The tables are very close together which turned out to be a problem throughout the meal. The fellow next to us did not shut up for a second. This became worse when he sent back the entree. He almost sent back the desert. We know because we could not miss even one word. The waitress was "so sweet" - pronounced swait. The tables are too close.
Went for dinner with my daughter. The menu was great and so well executed. Our server took good care of us. It was really a great dinner experience, but it always is at Fresno.
Disappointing, after reading good reviews felt the food was average; not running back :(
After considering this our "neighborhood restaurant" that's always reliable for 8-9 years, we were disappointed for the first time. To begin with, when the doors opened we were told by Tina that we could not have the table we always sit at for it is now "reserved" for another couple who "come in every week" (and they didn't arrive until 40 minutes after us)! Fresno has now succumbed to the "Hamptons" seating syndrome? (This is not Nick & Toni's)
The prices are up this year and the wine offerings, while still extensive, have been "upgraded" along with the bottle/glass price offerings. The "early dining" menu with the additional surcharge for most items does not make it the value it used to be. We have always loved the frites. Now they are thin fries that were so hard they tasted like they had been "rewarmed".
Chef Grechen always has inventive ideas for soups that are delicious and not to be missed.
Three times (both busboys and our waitress) came to see if we were done and could they take our plates within 45 minutes of sitting down!! Michael needs to make sure his new staff understands that when dining is complete, look for the knife and fork in it's "signal" position. Certainly not when a "guest" still has a half full plate, is chewing and has a full glass of wine (not even if everyone else at the table is finished)!
I'm so disappointed that this is a necessary "share", but a true reflection of our experience on 8/19. We've owned our home in EH for 39 years and know what August means...tired chefs and staffs dealing with crowds and sometimes rude patrons. Still, a smile, cordial welcome and "relaxed" dining experience" should come as part of the "bill" we are paying. We walked out feeling we had lost our neighborhood "go to" (at least during the summer).
Great prepared food and excellent service. Chicken was perfectly moist and salmon was new variation on classic preparation.
