The food was ordinary at best. The fried pickle appetizer was over cooked and meager for the price. We won’t go back there again. There was nothing “fresh” about Freshcraft.
Food was ok. Service wasn’t great- sat at bar, bartender mixed up our order... twice!
Always love coming here. The beer and food specials are top-notch and everything else on the menu is so delicious.
Cozy little spot situated in the heart of downtown. When you walk in, its comfy and cute. Perfect for a ladies night out, with some great wine and beer choices. The food was reasonably priced for a downtown spot. Would definitely come back for the happy hour drinks.
For a restaurant specializing in craft beer, their menu was pretty darn average. In addition their food was very mediocre - the schnitzel had zero taste, the spudpuppies had no flavor, etc. Not sure we'll be going back anytime soon.
We have dined at Freshcraft many times and this latest experience was quite odd. Server took our drink order and never returned. After 10-15 minutes I went to the hostess and asked for a server. Second server was very good. Hostess seemed flummoxed by the situation.
Freshcraft was fun. The seating in the booths in the longer, hallway-like area was nice and felt cozier than the front or the back areas. Service was great and the food was quite good. It was definitely pub-ish and the portions were well sized.
A holiday get-together with family from New Mexico. I chose Freshcraft because of the varied menu and nice beer selection. Music (where we were sitting) was pretty loud, but since we all liked it, it wasn't a problem.
This place has gone way downhill, we used to love dining here. The food and service are horrible now
Great place to drop-in and grab a bite before events at Pepsi Center. Meatloaf sliders and italian beef sammy were our picks of the evening - both great. Good selection of brews. We'll be back.
Fantastic place every time !! Food is phenomenal and the drinks are too
They couldn't find the OpenTable reservation. The pork entree was substandard, but the steak salad was good. The beer selection was not what I expected
The service was very friendly, but our food took quite a bit longer than usual this time, and it wasn't that crowded. Not sure what happened, but all was good once it came.
Used to have more vegan options - not there's only 1. It was WAY loud; not a pleasant dining experience
Our waitress forgot about us, about 45 minutes after we gave our order we had to get the manager, who comped our whole meal.
We love the fried pi ckles and every special always amazes us! We were able to get speedy service to make it to a show and had a waiter who was flexible and helpful!
We particularly liked the variety of the menu and the small, medium and large plate options.
Pictures online were deceiving. This is a basic bar and grill. No ambiance. Food was average at best.
Our server was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and the food was delicious. Great atmosphere overall -we'll be back!
Good variety on the menu. Basic home cooking. Salads were FRESH
Great selection of beer, Food and service are excellent!
Menu was promising, however service was slow and intermittent. Food was subpar, Steak frites served season less and fries were cold.
I was in town for a few days visiting a few friends and wanted to treat them to a nice dinner on my last night. My friend had suggested we try Freshcraft after I told her I had already gone to Avanti.
The food was EXCELLENT! The brussels sprouts appetizer was superb and incredibly succulent. The burger was phenomenal. The service was nothing spectacular, but he was attentive, knowledgeable and honest. I always appreciate a server who is honest enough to tell me what the restaurant's signature dishes are without trying to sell me on what's most beneficial for the server or the restaurant. The whiskey list was broad and featured well-known whiskies as well as other craft whiskies.
The price point was reasonable and very affordable. Overall, if I'm ever in Denver again, I'll definitely be back to dine at Freshcraft!
Great beers and food! We went for a casual night out, and it was perfect for a great beer and sandwich.
Freshcraft is a hard one to rate. We had reservations through Open Table and were seated quickly, but then it took a good ten minutes to be approached by a server, pushing us past the end of Happy Hour. Thankfully, Freshcraft has a grace period on that cutoff, unlike some restaurants, so at least that made up for the slow service.
Our server was amazingly knowledgeable about the various (and very numerous) beers on tap, which was awesome. So many establishments' servers don't have that ability, so I applaud that!
Our drinks were excellent, but our food was a little lacking. The fried pickles were very bland; and call me what you will, but a fried pickle needs ranch, not some fancy aioli. Leave the aioli for the nicer dishes. :-) Let's not try to dress a pig in pearls, friends. :-)
The steak in my steak frites was VERY good... but VERY close to well done. I ordered it medium rare and had maybe two bites with some semblance of pink in it, but we were late for a concert and didn't have time to have it remade. For a well done steak, though, it really was tasty.
We came back after our concert for drinks and a snack with friends and were surprised to find that they close at 11:30 on week nights. Never let it be said again that Oklahoma has nothing to do on a weeknight! At least our pubs and restaurants are usually open beyond that point! I'm no expert, but when the packed Pepsi Center empties, it's probably ideal to have more than one dive bar down the street left open if you want to keep those concert-goers around. But maybe that's a development yet to materialize in a rather newly fixed-up area?
All in all, it was a good experience and one I'd revisit again if in Denver. The problems that we did have seemed to be eagerly rectified by the servers when possible, or at least offered if we'd had the time to wait for it.
And if you're a craft beer enthusiast, you'll not be disappointed in their selection and knowledge of what they have on hand!
We love Freshcraft the food is great and is the service is fabulous. My loves the beer choices. We live close so nice to be able to walk but the drive is definitely worth it.
Food was exceptional. Service was lacking. Bartender was helping our waiter who brought our meal to the table. When asked to bring condiments for the meal like a salt and pepper shaker, the bartender completely ignored the request. Bartender was literally 10 feet in front and would not look our way. Took another 5 minutes to get waiters attention .
Freshcraft had a great beer selection and great food. We'll definitely be back.
It was a bit too loud. Food was amazing and we love meeting friends here.
Excellent food and beer on tap! I had the pork belly hoagie, ale cheese soup and wings and they were all excellent!
Great service, only thing I didn't like was the colslaw but everything else was amazing. The Rubin sand which was incredible! Our server was amazing as well and the vibe was friendly and laid back. I would go back next time I'm in downtown!
We live in neighborhood Freshcraft is always good the burgers are great and the pretzel with that chese sauce to die for. My husband loves the beer choices. recommend.
The food excellent as always. There were times were waiting for server, but was extremely enjoyable for mammoth pre-game.
Tavern atmosphere, bar food, good selection of beer. Service was fine although they seem to nickel and dime you with extras and substitutions.
Good early evening outdoor patio with awesome beer
Great food!!!!! Nice server but extremely slow, might have been a busy night.
We had a party of 8. We all ordered something different.
The food was so-so. It was super loud. We wanted to visit since
we hadn't seen each other in a long time. The beer selection was good.
We enjoyed sitting on the patio before dinner.
I had the vegetarian tacos. I wanted some protein so I ordered chicken with them.
Very weird tasting. Never had anything like this and it wasn't very good.
Fish taco or taco with beans for the vegetarians would be much better.
The mushrooms are not Southwestern Yuk
Waiter did a good job.
Delicious and fun. Atmosphere perfect to relax before going to a concert.
We've enjoyed meeting friends here several times. It's in a central location to the Denver Metro. They have good beer, food, and service. If we had one request it would be they dim the lights just so slightly in the back area, as it seems to be brighter than the rest of the restaurant. In general, you can’t go wrong here.
