Sorry but the first time I dined a few months ago the menu was outstanding, this time I had the same fettucchine alfredo and was seriously lacking in flavor and the chicken parm was the same.
Food choice were all great. Service staff was cheerful and attentive. Outside seating is right at the top of the stairs over the Village, so very enjoyable. Like everything here, it is quite pricey... but it's to be expected.
Mere steps from our room in the Rainbow Tower in Waikiki, the second story walkup location can open all of its windows for an almost outdoorsy feel. Great sunsets over the harbor, well made drinks, and very tasty entres make for a wonderful night out. Well done!
We ordered the salmon, and it was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. And the maitai was excellent. The only hitch was that we ordered the entree to share. When it was served (not by the waiter), it was plopped down in front of me and the side dish we had ordered was given to my wife. Since the waiter indicated no problem with sharing the entree we expected to be provided an extra plate. When we mentioned this to the server he scurried off to find the waiter who then arrived with extra plates - so it ended well, just a faux pas they need to correct.
We’re kama’aina and this was our 3rd visit to Fresco. For all of our visits we’ve been impressed with their service and food. Kele did a great job in servicing our table of 4 adults and 1 child, he was friendly and attentive to our needs. This place is great for kama’aina because the food is ono with just right portions and not over priced. Plus! They give 3 hour parking validation and kama’aina discount! You no can go wrong! Check it out! If you get there early, ask for a table with the beach view, it’s so relaxing. The only downside is they don’t have A/C.
Thought this was going to be a mediocre meal at a hotel...boy, were we wrong.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
And didn't have to leave the resort to fight the lines in Waikiki for so-so food.
I would recommend coming here even if you are not staying at the HHV.
Good service but food was average at best and one dish had undercooked shrimp initially AND after asking for it to be fixed. The manager removed it from the bill and provided extra wine, so appreciate the attempt to remedy but the kitchen has serious problems.
Food was tasty and plentiful however the service was hit and miss. We got our appetisers and had not finished those when the mains arrived at the table.
It was just ok. Service was good but food was just ok. Nothing was really bad - except my soup wasn’t hot. Chicken parmigiana was good. Lasagna was good. Spaghetti was ok. My caprese salad was just ok. It was quite expensive for what you got. Wine list was fine. Good selection by the glass. I just wouldn’t go back.
We had gone here before and thought it would be perfect for our anniversary. We were seated and ordered. We watched 5 other tables, sit, order and being served before ours arrived. The manager and food arrived right before we were going to get up and walk out. My order was less than warm. We were told something about the risotto having to be remade.
We thought the food and service were both great. Salads and pastas were fresh and cooked perfectly. Great change from typical Hawaiian food while away from home.
Nice ambience with our table on the back. Excellent service. Three course menu is a very good value. Menu choices had good variety, but a creative pasta dish would have been nice. But overall really good experience. I would go back.
A very good option if you have been here for a few days and want something else. A solid spot for very decent Italian. Unexpected Surprise! Make a Rez if you are staying there. It gets busy.
Fish off the day was a little over cooked, but tasted excellent. The kids portion was really big, my little guy loved the spaghetti. My carbonara was perfect, tons of great bacon, really good flavor, could have used a little more crab. The lobster bisque was amazing, huge Cooks of lobster, great flavor, not a small portion. Really good meal overall.
Great service but okay food. Also, beer was not cold so waiter offered different beer.
A hidden gem within the Hawaiian Village, we actually ate there twice during our stay because it was so good. We were not disappointed either time and if/when we make it back to Hawaii we'll go there.
I make it a point to eat at Fresco's every time I am on the Island food is excellent, service is excellent, great wine list and cold beer. If you like Italian food and good service you must try Fresco's
Excellent service & nice ambiance
GREAT Italian in a busy, commercial resort. This is not your average "hotel food". I know moist people won't think Italian when they think of Hawaii, but I strongly recommend giving it a try.
Had some problems with food, service and drinks. But it’s a great location.
We stayed at the Grand Islander and this restaurant was in the Hilton Hawaiian village. I enjoyed the atmosphere, service and the lasagna was excellent. I very good meal.
Good service with average food. Nice quiet restaurant with pleasant views of the Hilton Hawaiian Village
Surprisingly good Italian food in the Pacific being native NY ers.
Some c/o small portions but not so. The waiter was superb.
Calamari was rubbery. Ordered grilled shrimp with my pasta, shrimp was overcooked and tough. Pasta itself was OK, but not great. Wait staff seemed eager to have us done so they could clear the table. Not a good overall experience.
Very friendly staff and the presentation of the food was really nice. Pasta was cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. The location is very difficult to find as signage is poor.
Average place at best. Nothing special.
Nice ambience. Food is ok.
Decent prices for area
Service was questionable. The mussels in my entree were overcooked. Management seemed to care less that I was unhappy, on Valentine's Day.
Food & service were excellent
One thing we thought required attention: the music was most annoying, the
Such a great experience over all we booked a dinner the next night for a second visit
Excellent time here. Food was good, not great, for the $. The service was very good and the ambiance was excellent. Would definitely return.
The place is very clean, quiet and well decorated. Tablecloth and big tables is another plus. The staff is very attentative and pleasant.
Food is well prepared and plated very nicely. We were early for our reservation but we were seated promptly. Their early bird three course special is worth the price. Will definitely recommend the place
Food quality is not great
Caesar salad to share...generous portions. Spicy shrimp scampi was good but shrimp a little over-cooked and pasta could have been cooked a little more for me. Veal cutlet was tender and very good. Service was excellent. Seated by an open window and could watch people which was delightful!
We came for my husband’s birthday on our first day in Waikiki after a very long flight. The food was all right, nothing exceptional and the service was a little perfunctory. But it was still a good meal.
Food was terrible - loaded with garlic
Overall was a great experience to come to Fresco for the first time. Unfortunately due to time constraints wasn't able to experience the fireworks show. Waiter was great and appreciated the dessert at the end of the night.
Food was decent. Server Matt was great.
Good variety of food. Prepared well and timely, friendly service. Interesting wine list
