Terrific healthy food options!! Many to choose from.
Great!!! Food was delicious!
Absolutely love this restaurant! The coffee, food, waitstaff and atmosphere is wonderful! Parking can be tricky, but well worth it!
Thanks so much for the review!!! I hope to see you back soon. Oh - and keep in mind that recently we added to our free customer parking options with dedicated indoor parking across the street in the Rex26 building (it's at the ALDI level of the garage - look for the French Meadow signs).
Thanks for holding our requested table!
You're welcome :)
This is a great restaurant! lots of variety and everything, literally everything is so good! This is one of my family’s favorite places to go when they are in town. Highly recommend from brunch to dinner, this place is the best.
The noise was very loud, making conversation difficult.
I ordered the squash ravioli, which was swimming in oil. I couldn't eat it. Instead, I shared another person's food (turkey burger, which was very good).
When I told our server about the ravioli, she just shrugged her shoulders. She didn't offer any compensation or apology for the meal.
Our server was not very attentive and didn’t apologize for the slow service at all. We had to ask over and over again for things. It was really quite poor service.
Great atmosphere; has an eclectic menu and cocktails. Great restaurant for an upscale meal.
The vibe is a comfortable community. The menu is extensive with something for everyone including carnivores, vegetarians and vegans.
We were a bit confused arriving for a late lunch having made a reservation and no hostess/host was available. One orders from the extensive menu (grab a hard copy at the start of the line and have a seat to peruse ) and seats one's self in the large front room with booths and tables and countors. There is a back room with more booths and a bar but we weren't sure if it was seat yourself or what. Again, no hostess or host on duty to direct confused tourists.
After ordering, the staff brings your food to the table with the help of an identifying stanchion. Our sandwiches and salads were substantial, well crafted, fresh and tasty. The lemonade was a nice tart-sweet but it wasn't obvious how to get more and no staff was immediately available to ask.
While the menu is extensive and takes a bit of time to consider, it was the dessert case that almost had us undone. Cakes and bars and cookies or my! We settled on a couple of bars and anticipated their pleasure. There is no witty way to say this: bars were not good. Dry, hard, flavorless!
Bottomline: Enjoy the vibe, be self-sufficient, eat your entree with relish and skip the dessert.
We ordered drinks and food together right off the bat and waited about 20 minutes for our drinks and another 45 for our food to come out. Extremely long wait times between Seeing our server on the floor at all, which was surprising for how busy it was on a Saturday night. My friends and I always enjoy a meal here, but the service was disappointing this time.
Usually I love French Meadow. A few misses this time. We had an unfriendly and unresponsive server. The restaurant was cold. The wine by the glass selection was very light. The server was not happy about bringing a sample. The Moscow mule was okay but not served in a copper mug. And my ribs were - fatty. The whole exp was okay but could have been so much better. Maybe the reason there were so many empty tables.
Dunes at the bar and got some solid recommendations from a female bartender - short rib and Zucca - a sweet potato hash-like side. Both were perfectly seasoned and executed.
Yes. Friendly, casual service. Tasty food and a inviting space make it all an enjoyable weekend breakfast.
Great service. Really clean, creative, and sustainable menu.
Loved the buffalo cauliflower app! Lots of choices for vegetarian.
Service and food ware great.
Fruit tart is amazing!
French Meadow is my husband and my favorite restaurant ever. We go here for every special occasion, and our one year wedding anniversary was no exception. As usual, the food was incredible, the service was exceptional, and the atmosphere was perfect. French Meadow is absolutely the best.
Overall it was a fine experience. I got the breakfast plate and the poached eggs were overcooked and there was a strong taste of vinegar in the water they used. Again, everything was fine but I don't think I would seek out French Meadow on my own accord again.
There was an unusual problem on this, our tenth, visit to French Meadow. My wife's eggs and my toast were cold. I suspect a fluke in the kitchen, but we didn't complain because we had an old friend with us who was joyfully conversing, and we didn't want to spoil the mood.
I had to eat gluten free and the servers and ordered the sour dough french toast. However, found out that the french toast is not served on sour dough (which is ok on a gluten free diet), but on other bread.
Had to order something else which was not good
The Organic Healing Plate is an excellent option for those on a low sodium diet.
We met here for a family dinner ! So much fun! Great food , beautiful ambiance and wonderful service! I love it here! Thank you!
A wonderful menu of healthy items for all dining preferences!
Not quite as good as our first visit but still acceptable
Super cute place inside. Our lattes were delicious but the food left much to be desired. The blueberry corn pancake came out cold, very dry and over cooked. The kids Mac and cheese was so strong they both refused to eat it. The yogurt parfait was tasty but small for the cost. Overall not a great experience and wouldn’t return.
The food was amazing, especially the curry. Beautiful back patio for dining and that slab of coconut cake topped it all off.
Made a quick reservation for 7 with a few diet-restrictive guests - French Meadow was great helping adjust the menu and seat all of us together. Will definitely be back (hopefully with fewer people).
Food was great. Wait staff were good but it seems as if they are short staffed so service is slow.
We were celebrating my wife's 60 th birthday with our adult children. I had reviewed many restaurants menus before deciding to make a reservation, and looked for a diverse menu that would appeal to everyone in our group. The food was excellent, the service was super and everyone had a great experience. I had heard many positive comments about French Meadow Cafe, but had never eaten there. I absolutely made the right decision!!
Delicious food. Waitress was not friendly, and even though the restaurant was not busy, she was very obvious in wanting our visit to be brief. Not a very welcoming experience.
Always love the ambience at this place, especially for a special occasion. Prices are moderate, but I justify it by being a special occasion. Our bartender was excellent and was able to accommodate our requests with wine suggestions.
The menu offers many interesting options, all at a reasonable price. I have never been disappointed.
We decided to try French Meadow since I am vegan and my husband is not, first impression was the table we were seated at were uncomfortable. The seats were too high and we had to hunch over our meals. I ordered the tofu scramble but have a stomach sensitivity to onions so I had asked what was in it and the server told me there was onions but one or two and I could easily pick them out. My husband ordered the classic breakfast. When our food came our toast was burned on both plates, mine was very hard and dry and his was chewy as if it had been toasted multiple times. My tofu scramble was all onions so I was unable to eat it. Our waitress asked if it was too much ominous for me, I said it was because it was so full of green and regular onions I could barely see the tofu. I asked for vegan butter for my toast and she brought me one packet of regular butter...not really helpful. She didn’t have any solution except to offer 3$ off but I barley ate my breakfast and most of it was not edible so I then had to go and buy breakfast somewhere else. Very disappointing. I will not return or recommend this establishment to anyone else.
Was looking for a restaurant that had options for non-meat foods. OK. Moderate prices? Kid friendly. Yes. Also serves adult beverages. I had never been to FMC but it seemed busy when I had passed by, typically a good sign.
Service was poor. The first thing staff should account for is a party with two children (4 & 8). Being timely is crucial. Sure it would be nice to have a leisurely dinner, but kids rarely are on the same page. The server was slow to return to check on us.
The food was average at best.
The ambience was very dark.
Overall, not a good experience or impression. Do not intend to go back.
The food was great! Our server was so helpful, she was friendly and sincerely very nice and considerate. My wife is gluten free, so having understanding servers is important to us....she certainly was!!!
Hi Mike - Thank you so much! This is exactly what we strive for -- to make sure every guest is served with great care and understanding -- so this makes us happy :) Hope to see you again soon.
This is a fabulous place but way way way too noisy. Even the younger folks in our party of 7 could not hear each other without raising their voice. It's too bad because it would not cost THAT much to change. Definitely would never recommend this to anyone with even a slight difficulty hearing. The food, the service was all 5 star.
Beautiful and large venue. Great place for brunch, very good food and coffee!
Thank you, Kerri! Hope you'll be back soon.
Great service and food was delicious. Say outside so can’t really gauge the indoor ambiance. A little pricey for the salads and entrees but will definitely go back.
Thanks so much for the kind words. We love to hear from happy guests! One note: We are genuinely committed to organic produce from small and local farms -- for example, we are one of the very few restaurants actually serving organic celery -- and this does in fact have an effect on pricing.
loved my food! Didn't like sitting on the sidewalk: the table and table ware were dirty from sitting outside and the street noise was obnoxious. Next time, I'd sit inside! My pinot Grigio was good too!
