About

This restaurant is permanently closed.

Free House American Eatery & Pub provides an ambiance which is a combination of a customary British-style pub and the flare of American culture. The place is dog and family-friendly and also has a separate smoking lounge on the patio. Guests can enjoy massive discounts during happy hours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Free House American Eatery & Pub recently underwent renovation, with the plain and bland interior being replaced by a more sociable and loud ambiance with an introduction of TVs featuring the latest sports matches. Wagyu sliders, goat cheese croquettes, smoked Gouda mac ‘n' cheese, Vietnamese wings and Free House salad are some of chef Ethan's suggestions. Stella Artois and Stiltsville are the artistically crafted beer favorites offered on the menu at Free House American Eatery & Pub.

Of course we would discover this find on the last night they were open prior to relocating due to losing their lease!!! I think that whole plaza is part of that East Atlantic multi-block renovation... but I sure hope they find a new home soon! We came wanting nachos and wings (both which they were out of) but with happy hour appetizers until 8 pm, we tried the Goat Cheese Fritters (worthy of a fine dining establishment) and a macaroni and cheese I would sell my soul for! The burgers were a high quality American Kobe beef and totally impressed us with quality. By the end of the meal we were trying to help the owner brainstorm a new location. They need to downsize and better define their identity but Downtown Delray really could use a neighborhood place with 5 star food and the hands-on owners standing by. I will anxiously watch for their relocation!

a friend praised the place from a visit a few months back, we were there and waitress/bartender/hostess said they're eminently closing for renovation. that for us meant crazy slow (not her over matched fault...she's a sweety)service food just uninspired bordering on dull.

Great place for brunch! Cool staff and excellent food. Try the steak eggs benedict and the bottomless mimosas! Will return.

I met a friend here for lunch. We ate outside it was very comfortable. I had the Cobb salad. It was large but I ate every bite. Delish!

The restaurant was great. Designated parking which is a big plus for the area on Atlantic in Delray Beach. The Eatery has both a vary large airy in door and out door area great if you want to bring a dog along. For New Year they had a out door band s well as party favors and a nice champagne toast at midnight. The food was great and in particular nice and varied appetizers. Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese was a generous portion,Kaffir Lime Brussels very tasty, Margarita flatbread was ordered twice, so well revived by the group Southern Cobb very large and crispy, Basil Chimichurri Hanger Steak, was thin sliced over a nice portion of mashed potatoes,Rum & Guava Glazed Salmon also very tasty, and the burgers were big and the onion rings a great side. Interesting Specialty drinks as well a full bar rounds out the dinning experience very nicely.

There were plenty of TVs to watch football while dining. Good choices for table options. Inside, outside, high tops, bar. Delicious menu items and great for sharing. Portions are good in size.

Waitress was nice enough but service was very spotty despite the place not being busy. Food was ok but portions were small and prices are not cheap. She suggested we share an entree which was a bad idea.

We ate at Free House on a Friday night. The waiter was extremely knowledgable in helping us choose appropriate items for vegan and not. It has a nice selection of wines and beers as well. We were pleasantly surprised. This place is a little off the beaten path which is a good thing. It has great parking and its easy to get to the happening area of Atlantic if you so desire. We will definitely dine there again. I hope others find out about it as the inside was quiet that night. The outdoor seating was full.

I ended up dining solo here and sat on the dog friendly patio which was perfect for me and my dog. The service was very attentive and its great to be slightly off the Ave. Fun and local beer list and I also tried one of their specialty cocktails - Ave East - which was very good. Hanger steak was fantastic and I also ordered Brussels Sprouts which were the best I've ever had! Big plus was their parking lot!!

This place is full of greatness! The food was to die for, cocktails were delicious and lots of tv's to watch any sport you can think of. Aside from all that all of the staff was super friendly and helpful. The food and drinks came to the table pretty quick. I will def be back! I'm happy I was able to find this gem!

We had lunch at this new eatery during their first opening week. The restaurant is located in a complex of several shops on Atlantic Ave. There was plenty of free parking as promised with designated parking spots for patrons of the restaurant. We were greeted immediately and seated by the window. The decor is rustic and sporty with large screen TV's displayed showing various sports. A few other tables were occupied and the restaurant is prepared for outdoor tables as well (but this day was overcast and drizzling). Service was very attentive, but not intrusive. No bread was offered or delivered to the table. We both ordered salads, which were generous in size. The ingredients were fresh and the dressing was tasty and distributed well/evenly throughout. The added protein was cooked well and was very good. The menu has a nice variety of items; largely salads, burgers and sandwiches for light fare and grilled fish, steak, and chops for heartier appetites.
