Fredrick's Fusion Bistro Ratings and Reviews
This is one of our best dining experiences of 2017. The service was prompt, courteous and fun in just the right balance. The food was simply excellent. We both had seafood, and it was tasty, had just the right texture, was properly seasoned, and was just plain fun. We've already recommended Fredrick's Fusion to friends who go to Tahoe, and we will certainly be back.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Incline but usually the noise level is unbearable which it was not on this evening as it was the low season between the summer and winter seasons. The food is always excellent with the exception of the Sushi which is quite average but still tasty. The sake choices were good while not extensive and very tasty as well. The staff help was very friendly and helpful. Always look forward to going back for the lobster dogs, tuna poke and a very original take on miso soup.
We verysimply liked nothing about it. The food was mediocre in three cases and actually bad in a fourth. The waitress was knowledgeable but way too gabby. It was a disappointing experience. On the other hand, we appear to be in the minority, as most reviewers seemed to like it. But we definitely won't be back.
Found on Open Table. Small and obviously known by the locals. Each dish was delicious. One waitress who waited on a dozen tables but with efficiency, attentiveness and cheerfulness. SO if you are in a hurry to eat and go, don't bother. If you are content to wait, converse and enjoy the food and wine and have memories of a fine meal, come here. A varied menu. Out of the ordinary and obviously prepared with expertise and care. On our list for next year.
Been to Fredricks and have never been disappointed. We like to go to the Happy Hour and sample all the half-price appetizers on the menu. The duck egg rolls were killer (and I don't really care for duck), the scallops were perfectly prepared and the ahi wontons are fantastic as are the half-dozen or so sushi rolls on the menu. Highly recommended.
The food was outstanding. The restaurant had some issues that night (which could not be helped) so our dinner took 21/2 hrs. The waitress was wonderful and very accommodating. She gave us 2 free drinks, along with an appetizer and no corkage fee. I would def go again because they did the best they could with an unfortunate situation.
The Staff was very polite and friendly. Jamie was our server and she could not have been nicer. Over all the food and service were average. The Coffin sandwich was hard, very crusty and fairly dry. We thought the meal was a little pricey for what we got served to drink and eat.
Fredrick's has been around for a long time. Service is friendly and food is consistently good. Seating is limited so reservations are recommended in the busy seasons, e.g., ski and summer, especially on Friday and Saturday. Along with steak and salmon, sushi is a staple of the menu.
What a great little gem. Next to the great snow, this was a highlight to our getaway. Far and away the best food and service we had in the area. We were staying at the Ritz on Northstar and this place blows away any dining option there. From start to finish, there wasn't anything that we ordered that was very good. The seafood hot pot was amazing and my wife's filet was solid as well.
Excellent creative food. We had a fresh wild salmon dish that was very flavorful and beautifully cooked. The dish was paired with a delicious slaw and we asked for spinach on the side which was cooked to perfection. The cocktail selection is innovative and delightful and wait staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning.
Felt because we weren't "regulars" we were ignored. Upon walking in we were greeted with sit anywhere there's a table for two. Didn't have a reserved table for making a reservation. Appetizer took 45 minutes, then dinner arrived 5 minutes after appetizer was finished. Food is very good and flavorful. Attitude and serve need work. Not the first time we have experienced this, so, not sure we will be back, which is a shame since there are not many restaurants in Incline where we live.
No children's menu unless you ask, then there are two items. Pasta with butter and "orange" chicken. Kids tried both. Loved it. Adults loved their meals. Fusion is the right word, it's Asian with a twist of French. A bit pricey but I'm already planning my next meal there. I was ready to walk out until the cheeriest waitress told us about the two items for children. Try the gingertini. It's savory not sweet and its strong but very tasty. Tiny local place, I'd recommend reservations to be sure.
