Great service and friendly servers! The food was delicious and the drinks fabulous:)
We arrived early as we were with our kids. The waitress was very welcoming and kind. They made a few menu modifications for the kids and were patient with our menu questions. The service was great even as it got busier closer to 6:30/7. The food was really amazing. We had short ribs, salmon, Caesar, sushi, wine, beer, and dessert. Literally all were cooked perfectly and served with a smile. We will definitely be back.
We dined on November 23. It has always been our very favorite restaurant for the filet mignon which usually is perfectly cooked every time over the past 18 years. However, this time we were very disappointed. The temperature was medium not medium rare and the texture was tough not the melt in your mouth delicious as in the past. It was almost as if there has been a change in the quality of meat purchased. So disappointing. Hope some one checks this out.
Greg and his staff never cease to please! Great place especially the spicy chicken!!
Service was extremely slow. We did have a new waiter but it took 35 minutes to get a glass of wine and 1 hour to get our food.
Horrible service. We arrived for our reservation at 6:30 on a Saturday night, ordered immediately and received drinks right away. By 7:10 we had not been served appetizers. No one around us has been served food that arrived before or slightly after us. Skip this place. Extremely frustrating. We left before trying the food. Bite, a few doors down, had great food, fabulous service, and delicious food.
The place looks like a casual pub, but the eclectic menu offered a surprising choice of options from sushi to filet. We tried the lobster dogs because where else are you going to get a lobster dog?! Yum! I would definitely go back to try some other menu options.
As usual, delicious food! My only complaint is the "canned" music & very warm interior. Ceiling fans would make all the difference in the world!
Horrible food and service.
The food was fantastic! We’ve been vacationing in north Lake Tahoe for 24 years. One of the best meals we’ve had there. Everything was delicious and well executed- the chicken karage, Caesar salad with a tahini based dressing, salmon, short rib, and the yummy beignets for dessert. Will definitely be returning.
The Sashimi, Salad, and Sushi were absolutely incredible. Would definitely come here again.
Food is awesome and Staci is a wonderful waitress and bartender!
Great food. Small place, but cozy. Limited menu, but all is really good.
Please, please come to Fredrick’s while on the North Shore of Tahoe (worth the drive)!
Small, quaint, cozy with great food
This is my husband’s favorite restaurant in town. I am very happy that the music and noise level was on the quieter side this trip in. It’s usually too loud for us to even hear each other. Thank you for making Valentine’s Day special for us. :)
Ashley is fabulous, so lucky you have her. She is the bartender and served the entire restaurant. I normally get the sashimi but will think twice next time. It was cut paper thin and not presented as normal. Ashley totally understood and graciously comped is our dessert; very classy, thank you Ashley!
We’ve been here before twice and had much better experience. This time hike the one and only waiter was very nice as was the one bartender they were much too short staffed for the number of people that all came n within a period of a half hour. They need at least one more person. As a result several dishes while they would have been delicious were served like warm. This was very unsatisfactory on a couple of the dishes one a main course which we had before that was excellent.
My food was good, but it should have been hot when served.
Consistently great food. Can be noisy, but that's part of its charm, feels like a little piece of Europe.
Especially cozy in wintertime. One of our Tahoe favorites.
Hoping for a much better experience here given the prices. The filets we ordered were not very tasty and side dishes as well were bland. Somehow our orders were not entered with our kids orders so came out 45min after, which didn't help the experience.
This is our third time and it has always been delicious. We will be back.
I used to be a regular customer, 2.5hrs for dinner, cold disappointing food!
I will not be back!
The food was excellent but the service was extremely slow and they weren’t that busy.
Good food ambience and fun
Out of items-no pork in the lettuce roll ups,
Poor service-attitude
Seagoing had no flavor -very disappointed
Used to be so good
our dining experience at Frederic's has always been great. Good food and service. However, this past Saturday Sept 15th there was only one waiter. He was hustling and got our food to us. We asked about dessert and he said the kitchen was really backed up and it might take 2 hours to wait for dessert, he suggested we go next door to Bites. We asked to see the dessert menu anyway, but then decided to leave instead. We thought a 2 hour wait was a bit too much. Have been here numerous times and never experienced anything negative before.
My mistake for trying sushi in Incline Village and expecting it to be near the quality of Sushi in Los Angeles. Ahi Tartare was tasteless with poor quality tuna and the scallops were nearly inedible. The only saving grace was a very pleasant waitress and bartender.
We enjoyed our food. My wife had salmon and I had a Dragon Roll. We started with a very nice scallop appetizer. The server was very good. The restaurant was not really busy, but for some reason the time between our appetizer and our entrees was excessive. We were on vacation so we really did not mind, however, when the bill came the server had comped one of our wines for being patient and "working with them," which I guess is their term for not complaining. Anyway, if you are looking for something different in Incline Village, FredRicks Fusion is worth a try.
Truly enjoyed our dinner here, first night in town. The food was excellent, service friendly. Enjoyed it enough to repeat a second night.
Fredrick’s has been around Incline Village for a long time. It has a small but varied menu including sushi. The salmon, short rib and firecracker chicken are always good. This time, the duck egg roll was dry, but the cauliflower soup was enjoyed. The restaurant is small and reservations are recommended for the weekend or during local busy seasons. The staff is friendly and attentive.
Fredrick’s consistently delivers a superb dining experience in a cozy, friendly setting. The menu isn’t large but what is served is delicious with great presentation and attentive service. We love the lettuce wraps and cauliflower soup to start. The short rib and salmon entrees are my favorites and my wife enjoys the firecracker chicken. It’s our favorite dinner house in Incline Village.
Enjoyable evening, small but interesting wine list, attentive service, attractively presented and tasty food in an unpretentious setting. Highlight was beignets with a sweet mocha dip backed with a delightful mocha martini. Would unhesitatingly repeat the experience.
Everyone is so lovely & the food is outstanding!!!
Our favorite place.
Nice dinner with granddaughter and friend who love sushi . . . so this place was a hit on food. Service could have been better.
Food as usual was great service was very slow dinner took 2 hours too long
Outstanding
We picked a night where there was only one person waiting tables, tending bar, in short doing everything "out front". We were told that there was only one person working in the kitchen. Further, we were told that we were the only reservation that night; the other 10 - 15 groups were all locals.
The server/bar tender was much more interested in socializing with the locals than waiting on us. As a result a meal of salad, entree and dessert lasted about 3 hours. The food itself was "uneven' - - some items very good; the salmon over cooked and dry. I am sure it was hard for the one kitchen employee to keep track of everything.
I realize that this review is 180 degrees from almost everything else written about Frederick's and is equally 180 degrees from the hundred or so Open Tables reviews I have left, but the night was what it was. We have been in the North Lake Tahoe area for a week and have had many excellent meals. With many good choices in the area I will not be going back to Frederick's.
The only negative about this restaurant is that there are virtually no acoustics, making the noise level when we visited unpleasant. It was very difficult to have any type of sustained conversation. We would only recommend going there with a caveat about the noise.
This restaurant was a gem! The sushi was fantastic, server was super friendly, and atmosphere very warm.
I would def recommend, and go back!
