We have a broad menu catering for all tastes with a fixed price for lunch and pre-theatre (£17 for two courses, £21 for three) and an a la carte (between £30 and £45 for 3 courses), and an extensive wine list starting at £20 and getting pretty high.
We are licensed for weddings, and can close for private hire on certain days of the week. If there's anything that you'd like to know, simply email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Went for a family birthday and the restaurant is lovely and everyone's food was excellent. There was not a scrap left on any plate. The service was excellent not intrusive and always there when we needed anything.
One of my favourites, for a family lunch with children, a romantic dinner for 2 or a group of friends catching up over great food and cocktails
Best croque monsieur in London. A wonderful place to come for Saturday brunch. Quality and sophistication.
One of my new favourite restaurants. The food was amazing and the service was efficient and friendly. The atmosphere was lively too. Would definitely will be visiting again soon.
Wonderful lunch experience, food was excellent as was the service. I cannot recommend highly enough.
It may have just been an ‘off-night’ but over cooked duck and under cooked lamb didn’t quite make the price feel worth it...
Desert, service and ambience was however very good.
Very good food great service and ambiance
This is a great restaurant, I always enjoy eating here when I'm in London.
I have been going for about 30 years. It is always consistant with the quality of the food
The ambiance is great and very good service
A wonderful dining experience and that after 50 years and I have known Fredericks for 20.
lovely food in a relaxed atmosphere at reasonable prices
This is our six or sevenths visit. As always enjoyed visit to Fredrick's, visited for late lunch with friends, food excellent quality, friendly attentive staff excellent service.
Wine list extensive but a little overpriced with comparable wine lists from similar establishments.
But will definitely be returning.
Most of us had the fixed price special which offered a good choice at a very good price. The cocktails were amazing and the wines reasonable. All in all, a great experience, highly recommended!
Good experience as usual
My wife’s fish together with another guests was over cooked I am afraid hence my 3 stars only on food
Lamb was excellent fish poor
Frederick’s is like really good restaurants used to be. Interesting food, beautifully presented with excellent service in a garden setting, and all in the middle of town. Not a tasting menu in sight.
Great location close to Angel tube station but tucked away from the hustle and bustle with lots of space outside for al fresco in the sunshine and plenty of seats inside. The 3-course lunch set menu was great value with each course delicious and fresh. A new favourite as our pre-theatre destination when seeing shows at the nearby Almeida. Lovely ambience - relaxed yet elegant.
Fredericks is a wonderful restaurant! The main room is light and airyand pleasant place to be. On this occasion we were in the garden. Again this is very pleasant and reamarkably quiet. You forget you are in the middle of Islington!
We ordered from the prix-fixe lunch menu and the food was great: simple but tasty starters, a good range of mains and tempting deserts.
The service is friendly but professional. We were almost the last group to leave at the end of the lunch session but there was no pressure from staff to hurry us out.
Another great experience at Frederick’s- great atmosphere, great food and great value!
I have eaten here many times. New greeter I think who was a bit keen to get us seated whilst we were enjoying cocktails. Cant give 5 starts as we had to call for butter for bread and I think the beans were forgotten as they arrived a good bit after the mains. However Chateaubriand was all I could hope for and cooked prefectly.......for me.Will deffo call again.
As always, superb food, with excellent choices from the sommelier. A very enjoyable couple of hours here. Tattooed Eastern European serving staff detract slightly from the upmarket feel, but otherwise splendid.
Always high standard of food but a superb, well priced, wine list.
Beautiful atrium area at the rear and a wonderful garden.
The private and bookable "Club Room" is special.
Great Islington location
Fredericks is an old favourite that never fails to disappoint. Beautiful interior, great menu, food well prepared.
Great setting, service good and food also good, especially the lamb. Felt the starters and main course arrived very quickly creating a feeling of being rushed. Enjoyed a nightcap at bar afterwards which was also enjoyable. Bar staff great.
Lovely venue, service and food for a special occasion. We were in the garden on a warm night. Don’t go if you are
on a budget.
It’s always great!
We had a lovely evening. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. The sommelier was really helpful and informative. Looking forward to going again.
I visited the restaurant for the first time and was impressed by the 'front of house' care and attention my party of 5 were given. There was no rush at any time. This is a restaurant that realises that its clients aren't in a hurry. They want to enjoy each course and have a break in between. This doesn't mean service was slow - it was measured. The menu was excellent, good enough for both the meat eaters and vegetarians within our party. The food was excellent. Portions were exactly what I wanted - not huge, but full of flavour and meant you didn't have to sleep for an hour before you had the next course! We arrived at 12.00 noon and left at 2.00pm. We will certainly be returning and recommending it to our friends.
Amazing ambiance and food.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Fredericks exceeded my expectations in every way. From the front, it looks like a nice, small restaurant, but when you go inside, the back area opens out into a wonderful conservatory and an outdoor eating area. We went for the last meal of our trip, and i wish we had gone sooner so I could have gone multiple times. The prawn tempura appetiser was delicious, as were the scallops and confit duck leg. For mains, we had the lamb and halibut, then dessert consisted of the panna cotta and chocolate fondant. The fondant came with a cherry ice cream that was so delicious, I asked for an extra scoop to share with the table (and eat more myself). I don’t think you would go wrong with anything on their menu.
Frederick's is a favourite of mine. I had the set lunch menu today which is excellent value for money. The pea soup was particularly good. I did go a la carte when it came to dessert as I can never resist the chocolate fondant with cherry ice-cream.
A nice place to dine In London. We found our way here early enough to luck into the early menu, including a nice house wine.
I can't faulty this restaurant. The food is excellent and service always perfect.
As good as ever...friendly, lovely ambience, excellent food. Looking forward to our next visit.
Sustains its high standards of charm, hospitality and quality food.
Very nice food great venue only complaint the bowl of soup was not appropriate portion far too small!!!!!
Especially for £7.50
2nd visit, both amazing! Wonderful food and great service. Thank you, we’ll be back next time we’re in London!
Delicious fine-dining experience, mostly French cuisine.
Wonderful food and ambience. Staff were attentive and friendly. We're booking our Wedding Reception here in the summer, so we wanted to make sure it was the best. It was a lovely experience and we'll be back many times I'm sure.
Lovely food. Great venue and attentive service. Tuna steak is melt in mouth
A very enjoyable evening for my 70th birthday with my partner, Judith.
Everything was very good from the moment I entered the restaurant and someone took my coat (and later remembered my name when they gave me it back on the way out).
Food was very tasty, well presented and at the right temperature - to the extent that I took some photos.
Service was very friendly and not over done in terms of being asked (is everything OK?)
Wine was well served and good flavour representing good value.
I even had a little candle in my birthday ice cream boule.
Most enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Will return soon.
Great service, excellent wine advice, buzzy atmosphere. Food as reliable as ever.
